Chapter 365 The drugging must succeed; failure is not an option.

"Son, are you afraid that Li Su will harm you again?"

Unable to hold back, tears streamed down her face again. Li's mother was also deeply distressed; how had her two beloved children become mortal enemies?

That brat Li Su is too ambitious. Aren't all girls treated the same way? It's just that Li Su is so greedy, wanting everything from the family.

"mother."

Li Hun didn't explain. It was better for his mother to misunderstand than to tell anyone. Knowing that his leg was healed would probably make his mother happier.

"Okay, son, don't worry, I won't tell anyone. Don't worry, I'll always be on your side."

A resolute look rose on her thin face as she gazed lovingly at Li Hun. Li's mother had made up her mind.

When Li Su was born, her father had just passed away, leaving her to raise two children alone. No one knew how difficult her situation was.

Not only did she have to face the gossip of those around her, but she also had to resist her family's desire for her to remarry. For the sake of her two children, Li's mother persevered.

Li Su was practically raised by Li Hun. When she was busy, Li Hun took care of her; when he had free time, he played with her. The two siblings had a good relationship, which made her happy.

Although Li Su was a girl and her mother didn't particularly like her, she wasn't deprived of anything. Li Su wanted to go to school, but she hesitated because her family was poor.

Li Hun helped Li Su beg her, and after some persuasion, she agreed. Li Su's tuition was earned by working day and night as a dumpster, and she was in pain every day during that time.

But seeing Li Hun and Li Su's smiling faces, she felt she could endure it.

If time could be turned back, Li's mother would never have let Li Su go to school, even if Li Hun begged her.

After starting school and learning more, Li Su's mind began to wander. Once, she came to her mother and started telling her that she was free and that she didn't need her mother's help anymore.

The first time, she didn't say anything, but gradually she started saying more and more, mostly things like she wouldn't drop out of school, she had to go to school, and she wouldn't give the bride price money to Li Hun to get married.

On another occasion, Li Su said that everything in the house belonged to her and that Li Hun was not allowed to touch it—utter nonsense.

Li's mother didn't know where Li Su had heard these rumors. Li Hun was very smart, as evidenced by the fact that she often skipped school to help her with chores and still managed to get good grades.

Li's mother wasn't worried about her daughter-in-law at all. As long as Li Hun got his education, he wouldn't be short of money.

The problem was that neither she nor Li Hun noticed, and Li Su ended up trapping Li Hun.

Fortunately, her son's leg has healed.

She closed her eyes and opened them again; Li's mother had completely changed.

"Son, stay inside, Mom will go and cook for you."

Opening the door, her swollen eyes squinted against the light, but Li's mother was secretly pleased to see Li Su washing clothes in the yard.

He snorted coldly and walked into the kitchen.

Her son's leg is better today, and she can't afford to be associated with bad luck.

To be honest, Li Su's daughter was born to bring bad luck to their family. While she was still in her womb, she caused her to vomit and have diarrhea; at birth, she caused her husband's death. If it weren't for Li Su, her husband wouldn't have had to run around borrowing money.

It's just that she had a severe hemorrhage when she gave birth to Li Su, and the doctor said it would cost money. After raising her, it seems to bring bad luck to her. Even with their family's situation, they still try to compare themselves to others.

She always gave in out of respect for Li Hun, and then slowly began to take advantage of him. So what if his leg was broken?

The more Li's mother thought about it, the more she felt it made sense. Li Su and their family were incompatible, and she should leave their family as soon as possible. Now that Li Hun's leg had healed, they couldn't afford any more accidents.

Li Su saw her mother come out of Li Hun's room, gave a cold laugh, and continued washing the clothes in the basin.

Li's mother was biased; she had known about this for a long time.

If it weren't for the money, she wouldn't have put up with all this suffering at home. A little hardship is nothing; she just wants to be happy in the future. Most importantly, she can get revenge when her mother gets old.

As soon as I thought about it, the clothes in the basin seemed to brighten up, and my mood improved; everything appeared colorful.

In the blink of an eye, Li Su's heart sank again.

Now, she faces the risk of being wiped out, so what's the point of talking about surviving? Even if she stays in the status quo, the system has given her ten years to complete her mission.

Ten years ago, Li's mother was still young. How could she have gotten the money? How could she have survived to spend it?

Do as Chen Fang says, and administer the medicine.

For some reason, Li Su remembered Li Hun's words; the words lingered in her mind, refusing to leave.

Li Su was only able to enter Li Hun's room today because Li's mother wasn't on guard. She had no confidence she could get back in to ask Li Hun again.

That damned Li Hun, he couldn't even explain himself clearly!

He slapped hard, splashing water everywhere. The kitchen door opened, and Li's mother came out.

Li Su's heart tightened; she feared her mother would rush over. But her mother merely glanced at her indifferently, then coldly took the bowl and went to Li Hun's room.

Even from a distance, Li Su could smell the aroma of meat. She swallowed hard, feeling even more resentful. After all, she used to get half of that meat porridge.

Now that useless Li Hun has devoured them all. I can't understand it. Has her mother lost her mind? Why would she abandon her perfectly healthy daughter and fawn over that crippled Li Hun?

You don't think Li Hun is still the same Li Hun as before, do you?

It's ridiculous. Even when Li Hun was doing well, he was just so-so. All the talk about good grades is a lie; Li Hun's grades were all from cheating.

Otherwise, if Li Hun's leg was broken, why didn't anyone come to the house to ask Li's mother to take Li Hun to school? Liu Wen was different; her grades were better than Li Hun's, and when Li's mother wouldn't let her go to school, Liu Wen even went to the house three times.
