Gently closing the door, Li's mother looked at Li Hun with concern. Seeing that Li Hun was still the same as before, she breathed a sigh of relief.
She was afraid that Li Su would come in and cause trouble again. After Li Hun's legs became shorter, Li Su became the first person she was wary of.
“Son, what did Li Su do when she came in? She said she came in to get you some water, but I didn’t believe her.”
Li's mother spoke very carefully, barely audibly mentioning Li Su's name. Li Hun became agitated the moment he heard Li Su's name, and her heart ached for him.
With tears welling in his eyes, Li Hun saw everything his mother had done for him.
"Mother, she didn't do anything."
Facing his closest loved ones, Li Hun couldn't hold back his tears. His mother's hair was turning increasingly white; it seemed that she hadn't smiled since the day he broke his leg.
"Mother, Li Su came in to ask me for help."
Still basking in the joy of Li Hun speaking, Li's mother was instantly exposed the next second.
"What? That brat Li Su came to ask you for help? Hasn't she hurt you enough already?!"
He shouted twice at the top of his lungs, then Li's mother automatically lowered her voice; Li preferred quiet.
"Mother, don't worry, I didn't help her. Mother, come here, I have something to tell you."
After Li's mother approached, Li Hun stood up to her astonishment.
"Mother, my leg is healed."
Her son's leg was healed, a leg that had been declared hopeless. Overjoyed, she couldn't contain her excitement. If Li Hun hadn't covered her mouth, Li's mother would have wanted to shout it out loud.
"Mother, the news that my leg is healed must not be spread."
His gaze seemed to pierce through the door and fall upon Li Su in the courtyard. Some people are only meant to be treated sincerely once, and some losses are only meant to be suffered once.
