Li Aili said, "That's because I feel like we have nothing left to say."
Since things had come to this point, Li Aili simply asked directly.
"Alright, I'll ask you now."
"Have you had contact with my biological father, the Marquis of Nice? Did you arrange the marriage between my biological mother, Helen Sanco, and him?"
Li Aili looked directly into those blue eyes. "Do I need to ask any more questions?"
Can you give an explanation now?
"Arthur Cold Jade!"
The grip on his shoulder suddenly loosened.
Arthur's eyes showed a hint of panic. "Ellie, I..."
"I can't say right now, Ellie, but it's not what you think!"
Li Aili looked at him and said, "Arthur, I was there the day you went to the Papal Court. I saw it all."
“You and the devil, those paladins… Arthur, I saw all of this with my own eyes.”
"Li Aili! Those gods have ill intentions!"
"Didn't you ever think that they did that to take you away from me?!" he roared.
Li Aili: "..."
"I don't think we have anything to talk about, Arthur." He opened the door and asked Arthur to leave.
Arthur looked at Ellie in silence, and finally he gave in.
As Arthur walked out of Ellie's room, before closing the door, he said, "Do you know that your love for me has been taken away by God?"
Li Aili paused for a moment, then nodded.
“Albert reminded me of that.”
Arthur gave her a deep look. "I'll get it back for you."
Li Aili knew that he was a stubborn person who wouldn't easily change his mind once he made a decision.
She simply closed the door.
Just before the door closed completely, Arthur's voice came in, "Li Ellie, unless I die, you will never be with anyone else in this life."
"Unless I die."
