Chapter Fifty-Nine: The Potion of Regret

Forced to concoct medicine on the spot, Li Aili had no choice but to ask the flower fairy to leave temporarily before entering the alchemy room.

As soon as she came in, she started rummaging through the magical plants that had been collected in the refrigerator.

The sage Merlin created an alchemical potion early on that would enable the gods to keep their promises.

After that, she studied how to make alchemical potions that would make people keep their promises.

Although it was unsuccessful, the magical plant that would likely be used has been identified.

Earth Flower, Binding Vines, Devil's Thorn, Angel's Flower, Promise Grass...

These magical plants all possess the effects of 'restraint', 'binding', 'obeying', and 'unbreakable'.

If you do the opposite, you get Slippery-shroom, Water Cap, Lie-plant, Bomb Berry, Invisible-shroom...

In contrast, to escape these rules, one must be slippery, like the wind that cannot be caught, like water that is everywhere yet cannot be controlled.

After taking out these magical plants, Li Aili immediately began making alchemical potions.

First, add the powder of the cloaking mushroom to the crucible.

Then, stir evenly, add the powder of 'Angel's Flower' at the right time, followed by Devil's Thorn...

With a 'bang'.

[Successfully crafted the alchemical potion 'Weak Regret Potion'.]

Li Aili had forgotten her original intention in creating this potion; her heart was filled only with the joy of the new potion's birth.

She reverse-engineered an alchemy recipe and successfully concocted an alchemical potion that was recognized by the alchemy shop. This made her even happier than earning a hundred boxes of gold coins!

Li Aili left the alchemy room holding the potion bottle.

"I did it!!"

Thinking she had been tricked, the flower fairy who rushed over to pull her into the river stopped in her tracks.

Then, she snatched the medicine bottle and carefully put it away.

The little flower petal-shaped skirt swayed back and forth, and she immediately smiled innocently, "I knew my older sister loved me the most."

Li Aili: "...I still prefer the way you choked me and threatened me to concoct potions."

"Ugh~~ What nonsense are you talking about, sister? I don't understand! Let's go see what my darling and brother-in-law are doing~"

"Seriously, do you really want to break up with Fisher-Nankey?"

The flower fairy looked at her in shock, "Who told you I wanted to break up with him? I just don't want to get married, but I didn't say I wanted to break up with him."

Li Aili: "...I don't really understand you." Whatever.

When they returned to the Tree King's Court along the forest path, Arthur and Fisheranki were squatting by the lake counting fish.

There were small mountains of fish piled up around them.

Li Aili and the Flower Fairy: "??" Did these two blow up the fish nest in the lake?

Fisher-Nankey asked with a smile, "How many?"

Arthur said calmly, "Not many, a little over four hundred. How many do you have?"

Fisher-Nankey: "What a coincidence, also more than four hundred."

The two stared at each other in silence.

Arthur: "472."

Fishernaki: "Article 472."

They almost unanimously agreed.

Arthur: "..."

The two looked at each other, then simultaneously exchanged buckets and quickly counted the fish that were full inside.

Li Aili: "..."

She turned her head and asked the flower fairy beside her uncertainly, "Are you sure those two get along well?"

The flower fairy nodded, "I've never seen my darling have so much fun with anyone before~".

Li Aili: "..." Okay, she trusts the master's judgment in this regard.

The sheer number of her ex-boyfriends could fill a book titled "The Complete Encyclopedia of Intelligent Races in Another World," so she clearly has more authority to speak on this matter.

Count them once.

There are 472 on both sides.

Arthur Cold Jade and Fisher-Nankey stared at each other in silence for another moment.

Fishernanki pointed to the fish in front of him and said, "'Brother-in-law,' aren't your fish smaller than mine?"

Arthur gave a sarcastic laugh. "Need glasses? I'll bring you a pair next time, 'brother-in-law'."

Li Aili: "..." She looked at the flower fairy with suspicion.

"Hey~ Darling, what are you guys playing~" The flower fairy walked over and seductively wrapped her arms around Fisheranki's neck.

There was no indication that she was a ruthless woman who carried a bottle of medicine in her pocket, ready to force-feed it to her fiancé at any moment.

The two said in unison, "Fishing."

The flower fairy leaned closer to take a look, "Wow, so many! Darling, you're so amazing!"

The Elf King pointed to his lips, "A reward?"

The flower fairy gently punched his chest. "Oh dear, I just remembered, didn't you catch as many as 'brother-in-law'?"

She stretched out her finger and drew circles on Fisher's chest. "A tie doesn't count as a win~"

Fishernaki grabbed her fingers and said to the guard beside him, "Bring the scales."

Li Aili: "..."

Then, His Majesty Fisheronaki weighed each of the fish they had caught, and after a tax official precisely calculated the numbers, he obtained two figures.

"Your Majesty's fish, 631.8 pounds," the elven tax collector said, his words tinged with disbelief.

"The fish of Duke Arthur Cold Emerald, 631.7 pounds."

Li Aili: "..."

Fishernaki pulled the flower fairy towards the bedroom. "Darling, let your sister comfort your brother-in-law's wounded heart. Let's go to the room and talk about the reward."

The flower fairy was stunned. She tried to run away, but was instead carried on her shoulder.

Li Aili: "..." You gotta flirt with me.

Li Aili stared silently at the dead fish on the ground—enough to supply four restaurants.

She couldn't help but say speechlessly, "Um... I don't think elves eat fish, right?"
