Chapter Nineteen: The Poor Mage

The carriage arrived at Campbell.

Oh no, this place has now been renamed Emerald Valley according to King Arthur's decree.

Ellie stepped down from Fisher-Nankey's carriage.

Troubled by his troubles, the Elf King was eager to return to his royal court and then have a good time absorbing his flower fairies.

As soon as Li Aili got out of the car, she was immediately stunned by the completely new look of the territory.

The high earthen wall has been built.

An earth elf emerged, followed by several mages.

He had originally come out to reinforce the wall, but instead saw Li Aili standing outside the wall, admiring her territory in awe.

The earth spirit immediately came over and greeted her warmly.

"Hello! You must be Miss Ellie!"

Li Aili immediately looked at the friendly earth spirit.

"Uh, yes, who are you?"

Immediately afterwards, Li Aili felt several murderous gazes directed at her.

She followed the gaze and saw several monks, some old, some young, some male, and some female.

A question mark slowly appeared above Li Aili's head; she really didn't understand what was going on.

"My name is Tu Yao. I received a mission from the Adventurers' Guild to build walls for your territory."

The earth spirit noticed that Li Aili's gaze was strange and belatedly turned around to look.

The mages immediately withdrew their murderous gazes.

They looked at the earth spirits with either gentleness or kindness.

The earth spirit said, "Don't be rude to my big client, or I won't sign a contract with any of you."

Upon hearing this, the faces of the several monks turned completely pale.

"No, no, no! Honey, how could I be rude to your boss!"

"I just wanted to show off in front of the boss!"

"Right, right! Didn't we just say we were going to raise the walls a bit?"

"Watch me!"

An old mage with white hair rolled up his sleeves and cast a spell on the earth elemental wall.

With a loud rumble, the earthen wall immediately rose three meters.

Note that the several-hundred-meter-long earthen wall was raised by three meters.

Another monk sneered, "People get useless when they get old."

After saying that, he took out his staff, coughed lightly, and after successfully chanting the incantation, the several-hundred-meter-long earthen wall rose 6 meters.

Li Aili looked up at the wall, which was more than 20 meters high.

Li Aili: "..."

Li Aili: "I think... what that elf designer really wanted wasn't a prison wall, was it?"

The earth spirit nodded thoughtfully, then said to the young mage who had acted on his own initiative, "You're eliminated."

The young monk was stunned at first, then burst into tears, looking as pitiful as a two-hundred-pound child.
