Chapter Ninety-Eight: The Sword That Slays Gods

In just one day, Emerald Valley had crafted the large iron pot and ladle that Li Aili had requested.

The next day, the Cavaliers stopped their daily training sessions where they "fought" against potatoes and corn.

They enthusiastically practiced flipping large ladles.

Their woks were full of black 'iron rice'.

The rice slid smoothly from the bottom to the edge of the wok as it was being shaken.

In the afternoon, the knights, who had thoroughly mastered the 'wok-flipping skill,' began to study the essence of 'Meteor Fried Rice.'

"His Highness said that this fried rice should be turned upside down to the sky."

"This is not difficult."

As he spoke, Warren's biceps bulged, and with a forceful effort, the iron filings in the pot shot into the sky like shooting stars.

Then, it fell down with a 'crash'.

It was like a shower of iron sand.

The merciless iron pellets slammed into the knights' heads with a crackling sound.

Valen was silent for a moment, then said, "Going up isn't difficult."

"It's difficult to get them all to fall into the pot when they come down."

Edward stroked his chin. "This thing would be much easier to handle if we had a Knight's Domain."

The group of golden knights suddenly looked at him.

Edward coughed lightly. "Ahem, we're superhuman professionals. What's wrong with using a few professional tricks?"

Ben Karsa: "No, I think you have a point."

Valen looked completely bewildered. "What do you mean? We need to break through to become a Platinum Knight first to research this 'Meteor Fried Rice'?"

Ben Karsa said thoughtfully, "Use professional skills?"

He gripped the handle of the iron pot and gave it a sudden burst of strength. A beam of golden light sent the iron sand inside the pot soaring into the sky.

Knights: "Oh! Is this righteous punishment?"

"It is indeed a just punishment."

"Oh! I see! Doesn't punishment always have a karmic return?"

Sure enough, as soon as he finished speaking, a large clump of fried rice was enveloped in golden light and fell back into the pot.

Perfect, not a single grain fell out.

One by one, the knights picked up their iron pots and began experimenting with this move.

In the fried rice section, streaks of golden light shot straight into the sky, only to fall back into the pan shortly afterward.

"Alright! Now we can experiment with real food!"

In Emerald City, Li Aili and Joanna watched this scene. "Very good, Meteor Fried Rice is a sure thing."

Li Aili nodded in satisfaction.

Joanna hesitated and asked, "Will this dish really taste better than the elves' white bread?"

Li Aili turned around and looked at her curiously, "Have you ever seen a knight use his ultimate move to fry rice?"

Joanna: "This... I really haven't seen it before."

Li Aili then asked, "Have you ever eaten fried rice?"

Joanna: "No, not either."

Li Aili asked again, "5 copper coins a serving, you can see the knight's professional skills and eat otherworldly delicacies, what more could you ask for?"

Joanna didn't understand the last half of the sentence.

However, she understood His Highness's meaning.

Emerald City is not trying to steal business from Tankar.

Emerald City aims to attract those who cannot afford the delicacies of the Tankar elves.

"Sweet and sour pork ribs, crystal shrimp dumplings, fried chicken cutlets, baked potato towers, these need to be prepared quickly."

Li Aili only provided the general taste of the dish and possible preparation methods.

Don't ask why it's 'possibly'.

This is the self-cultivation of a certain kitchen killer.

...

Soon, the day written on the flyer arrived.

It has to be said that the Minotaur really knows how to get things done in this regard.

In the past few days, thanks to his endless stream of tricks—no, his endless stream of clever schemes—many people have been lured to the outskirts of Tankar Forest.

"Huh? Is this food festival being held in Tankarsen?"

Just then, a melodious recorder tune drifted from afar.

Ten carriages decorated with flowers and candies slowly came to a stop in front of these people.

People attending the food festival: (⊙o⊙) Wow!

The coachmen were all dressed in adorable mascot costumes—cats, puppies, and rabbits.

Many of the children that people were with were almost impossible to control.

"Excuse me, are you here for the food court?" the person under the cat plush toy asked cautiously in a rough voice.

"Huh? Ah... Yes, yes."

Despite saying that, the person pulled the child and backed away step by step.

Just then, a patrol of elves came along.

Who are you?

The ordinary people who had been on edge all breathed a sigh of relief.

They all rushed to the back of the elven patrol.

“My Lord Elf!! There are strange people here!” someone pointed to the flower and candy driveway.

The elf looked at the caravan of flowers and candies and immediately recognized the Emerald Valley logo.

"Are you here to pick up people who are going to the food festival?"

The elf said to the bewildered humans, "They are fine."

With the elf as their guarantor, these people felt safe enough to board the flower and candy truck.

Upon receiving the person, the coachmen, dressed in mascot costumes, waved the reins in their hands.

The carriage sometimes went east, sometimes west, sometimes through the forest, and sometimes along a narrow path.

The adults and children on the bus were all completely bewildered by this whole ordeal.

Two hours later, everyone was fast asleep, and at the same time, the carriage stopped at the gate.

"We've arrived," the driver said in a rough voice, trying to be as gentle as possible.

"We've finally arrived!" People participating in the food festival stretched their limbs as they stepped off the carriages.

Then, they were all stunned.

Towering city walls.

An elven-style building I've never seen before.

The beautiful red brick road beneath my feet.
