Chapter 127 The Reward from the Committee of Glorious Adventurers' Badges

These gold coins may not seem like much, but they are enough for an adventurer to live comfortably in retirement if an accident occurs and they are no longer able to continue adventuring.

This means that the empire has solved their worries about the future.

After hearing this, Monica proudly waved her little fist: "Captain is so amazing!"

Linda smiled and said, "This badge belongs to the Phoenix Tail Flower Adventure Team."

The three of them finished washing up and were just about to leave when the city hall's messenger arrived.

The other party was a public official wearing a navy blue suit and tie, who respectfully handed Linda an invitation card with a white dove motif.

"You are absolutely required to attend. The mayor will be there to welcome you this afternoon!"

"I will go."

Linda nodded solemnly.

...

After breakfast, they took a horse-drawn carriage to the inner city.

"The house is nice, but it's too expensive."

Linda left Qingquan Community with some regret.

They just looked at a two-story villa that occupies 200 square meters.

The location is alright, only a 20-minute walk from the World Tree, but the price has gone up accordingly. Buying it outright would cost 500,000 gold.

I went to check out some remote areas, but the prices were still very high, at least 200,000 gold.

This put Linda in a dilemma: if she bought the house, she wouldn't have the money to buy equipment.

He's missing a main weapon with either the "Spell Penetration" or "Special Attack Against Aquatic Monsters" stat, which would cost at least tens of thousands of gold, plus the equipment Kafni and Monica are equipped with...

"Let's buy it later, prioritizing the team's combat strength."

Linda thought helplessly.

afternoon.

He and his team members went to the city hall to participate in the medal awarding ceremony.

The ceremony was held on the first floor of the hall, with many officials standing on both sides to welcome the guests.

The mayor was a blond man in his fifties, with a meticulously groomed beard, dressed in a white tuxedo, and leaning on a cane. Although he was smiling, his square face exuded a chillingly authoritative aura.

Looking at the other person, Linda felt as if she were gazing up at a towering mountain.

A retired adventurer with at least a Star Rank and a level of 35 or higher.

"Linda, in recognition of your contributions to adventurers, the committee has unanimously decided, after deliberation, to award you the Badge of Glorious Adventurer."

Mayor Adel smiled and took a gold circular badge from the tray held by his assistant.

The background pattern above features a white dove in flight, with a raised relief depicting an adventurer in armor holding a rapier vertically in front of him, like a warrior ready to sacrifice himself for the empire.

"Thank you, Committee. Thank you, Mayor." Linda bowed, and then, with Mayor Adel's kind assistance, put on the Glory Adventurer Badge.

He shook hands with Adel, both of them wearing polite smiles, a moment that was snapped away by reporters.

"Besides this badge, the committee has another gift for the Phoenix Flower Adventure Team."

Adel handed a transparent document bag to Linda.

"This is...?"

Linda took it unexpectedly, opened the bag and took a look.

"Wow!" Kaphni exclaimed without any regard for her image, beaming from ear to ear, and gave Adel a thumbs up: "Old man, you have good taste. This gift... cough cough, I'll accept it!"

Adel chuckled, "This young lady is quite interesting. The members of the Phoenix Tail Flower Adventure Team are all formidable figures."

“That’s right.” Kaphni arrogantly accepted Adel’s praise.

Then there's that folder—it contains a villa title deed for the Canary Community and a set of keys!

Canary Village is located in the very center of White Dove City, where land is extremely valuable.

Those who live there are either rich or noble, either rock-level teams or nobles; the White Dove Adventurers' base is also there.

The land deed states that the villa occupies 330 square meters... In the Canary Village area, this villa would cost around 1 million gold.

No wonder Kaphni was excited.

This villa is big enough to fit not only three or four team members, but also thirty or forty people!

After the awarding ceremony, Linda and her team headed straight to their new home.

Canary Community.

The three of them looked up in amazement at the large white villa in front of them.

The villa has three floors, resembling a castle. At the very top is a wooden plaque shaped like a canary. When the wind blows, the plaque spins and emits a clear bird song.

It has a garden outside, and the lawn is neatly manicured.

Linda thought that planting some holly bushes on both sides of the aisle would look beautiful. The empty spaces inside could be used to grow cucumbers and tomatoes, which could be picked and eaten as needed.

The three opened the door and filed into the large living room through the hallway.

The interior of the villa was very empty, with only basic furniture such as magic chandeliers.

Linda took a walk around and found two washrooms and two training rooms on the first floor. The rooms were made of a special magic-resistant material that could withstand the attack of battle aura and magic power below level 30.

There is also a study and a lounge...

The second floor houses the team members' bedrooms, totaling eight rooms.

Each one contains a magic amplification array with different attributes. Inserting a magic core will activate the array and increase the adventurer's training speed.

Monica and Kaphni excitedly chose their favorite rooms, running around in the hallway like two little explorers.

Linda went to the third floor, which was a spacious event hall with a stage-like area in front where small group meetings or parties could be held.

Standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling glass wall, gazing at the clear blue sky and white clouds outside, a sense of comfort welled up in Linda's heart.
