This huge house actually belongs to the Phoenix Tail Flower Adventure Team...
The dramatic change in environment left Linda feeling somewhat dazed. Everything before her eyes seemed like a dream; just a day ago they were living in a dilapidated shack, and now she was standing firmly in her own million-dollar mansion. It all felt unreal.
This is Linda's second purchase.
But my mood was completely different from last time. Rather than being excited, I felt more at ease, as if my precarious life had finally stabilized.
It was the sound of Monica and Kaphni coming upstairs that woke him up.
"This is too empty," Kaphni said. "We need to buy some furniture and decorate it!"
Linda snapped out of her daze and said with a smile, "Yes."
He looked around the empty activity hall and thought to himself, "Take it slow. New things will gradually fill this empty villa."
Kaphni was responsible for purchasing furniture and household goods from the trading company.
Linda then took Monica back to the small rented apartment and packed up all their belongings.
Starting today, they will settle in the inner city.
We returned to our small rented house by horse-drawn carriage; it was already dark.
The streetlights in the neighborhood shone with a dim yellow light, sometimes turning off and sometimes on. A bunch of small insects were attracted by the light and circled around the streetlights like headless flies.
Linda took Monica's little hand and led her downstairs.
I looked up and found someone standing at my door.
From behind, it looked like a man, about 1.7 meters tall, wearing a black robe, looking around.
Thief?
"What are you doing?" Linda suddenly came upstairs and put her hand on the shoulder of the furtive man in black robes.
Monica stood at a distance, nervously taking out her staff and preparing a powerful earth-shattering attack, aiming it at the man in black.
If this guy dares to make any unusual moves, we'll just blast him away.
"ah!"
The man in the black robe was startled and almost jumped up. He turned around and saw Linda's face clearly before he breathed a sigh of relief and took off his hat.
"Teacher Linda, please hear my lifelong request!"
After the man in black robes finished speaking excitedly, he knelt down on the ground with a thud!
Linda and Monica were both a little confused. So... he wasn't a thief?
The other person spoke rapidly, "You absolutely must help me, or I'll be kicked out of the team by that devil, Leah!"
Leah?
Linda frowned. "Lift your head up first."
"Okay, okay." The man in black smiled sheepishly and stood up.
Linda then recognized the other person.
Their last 'meeting' was on the night they left the team, when Leah handed them the resume.
'Is it okay if I get replaced?'
With that, Lia slammed her resume down in front of Linda.
The black-robed man who immediately knelt down and begged for help, showing no dignity whatsoever, was none other than Phyllis, Xueyan's current healing mage and a graduate of the White Dove Noble Academy!
Why did you come looking for me?
Linda looked surprised. If Phyllis didn't want to be kicked out by Leah, she shouldn't have come looking for him in the first place.
