This group of nearsighted rhinos charged forward, only to realize upon reaching them that it was actually a herd of elephants.
This completely baffled Kam.
Abner remained calm, seemingly unaware of the threat posed by Cam.
His right hand reached for the long sword at his waist.
It was a weapon somewhat like a samurai sword, with a white handle wrapped in layers of black cloth.
There weren't many fancy decorations; it was simple and efficient.
But the magical fluctuations emanating from this longsword were impossible to ignore.
With such a powerful figure around, Linda has no worries about being hurt by Kam.
A flash of cold light appeared.
Kam's remaining left arm flew up.
With a thud, it fell to the ground like a large piece of trash.
Losing his balance, Kam fell to the ground in a sorry state.
Kam showed no fear, shock, or anger.
He just stared blankly at his 'hands'.
“He only has himself to blame,” Ebernar said calmly, sheathing his sword.
Rhodes closed his eyes and sighed deeply.
Reporters snapped photos of Kam, capturing this clown-like moment.
Kam knelt on the ground, stunned for a moment, and then burst into wild laughter.
"My hand is gone, my left hand is gone too, hahahaha! My hand is gone, hahahaha!"
Seeing that Kam had gone mad, Linda showed no sympathy. She calmly walked up to Kam and raised the royal sword.
“You lack martial ethics and attacked me with a deadly technique. According to Article 61 of the Adventurers’ Law, I have the right to execute you.”
"Wait, he's still a child—"
Rhodes still tried to argue.
Even though Cam is 46 years old, he is still immature.
How can you take someone like that seriously?
However, Linda wouldn't let another accident happen.
The royal sword fell swiftly and decisively.
puff!
Bright red tomato sauce splattered.
In a moment of lucidity before dying, Kam cried out in terror, "Big brother, save me!"
Unfortunately, it was all too late.
The outcome was already decided when Kam provoked Linda.
A fine head rolled and rolled to Rhodes' feet.
"He...is still...a child."
Rod muttered to himself.
The burly man held his smooth forehead, feeling helpless and heartbroken.
Even though Cam is a good-for-nothing, he's still his friend and Halus's brother.
Cam's death fueled a surge of anger within Rhodes.
But after looking at Eberna in front of him, Rod managed to calm down.
Linda personally killed Kam, bringing the duel to a close.
Reporters snapped photos.
Kam became the first Star-Rank adventurer to be killed by an adventurer below level 30.
His ultimate move, a sneak attack on Linda, only brought shame upon himself.
Even if Kam is killed, no one can accuse Linda of her crimes.
“Let’s…go!” Rhodes took a deep breath, picked up Cam’s head and body, and prepared to leave.
"etc."
Linda said, "They interfered with the arena and almost killed me. This matter cannot be left unresolved."
"What do you mean 'almost killed you'? Nacho only glanced at you!" Rhodes was stunned, then flew into a rage.
"You're not me, how would you know if I was scared to death?"
"Level 33 Star Rank is too much of a challenge for me."
"You see me as fine, but I'm actually half dead!"
Linda pointed at Nacho expressionlessly: "It's reasonable for him to lose half his life too, isn't it?"
Upon hearing this, Nacho's internal injuries, which he had barely managed to suppress, almost flared up again.
Reasonable?
What a load of rubbish!
He only glared at Linda before being severely injured by two of Linda's teammates.
Linda is now taking half his life away from him.
Just kill him!
That's not all.
Nacho looked at Kam's corpse, his heart growing colder.
Once Halus is released from prison, he will not be let off easily.
The future looks bleak.
Unexpectedly, Rhodes stepped forward at this critical moment.
"Linda, just tell me straight, what kind of compensation do you want!" Rod said coldly.
Linda thought for a moment and said, "I am the victim. It would be more reasonable for you to propose a compensation price."
Rhodes just wanted to settle things quickly.
After some debate, it was decided that Ghost would pay Linda 1 million gold in compensation for emotional distress.
This is a very large sum of money; Ghost's annual income is only 1 million gold coins.
Not only did their deputy commander die, but they also had to pay compensation to Linda.
Apart from a few slaves directly controlled by Halus, the other members of the group were all furious and their faces turned ashen.
Yet, when facing the reporters' cameras, they still had to speak softly to comfort Linda, telling her to go back and rest well.
In the afternoon, Linda and the others strode out of the arena.
They went to a nearby shop, took the compensation for emotional distress paid by the ghost, and spent a fortune to buy 1,000 bronze-level World Tree Fruits.
With the fifth level of the Great Mystic Realm having just opened, the production of Bronze Tree Fruit has seen a slight increase.
In addition, due to Linda's reputation as an honorary adventurer, the trading company offered a discount, lowering the price to 950,000 gold coins.
This means Linda saved 50,000 gold coins and could have purchased 1,000 bronze tree fruits.
Just like its name suggests, the leaves of this fruit are a brownish bronze in color. When you bring your nose close, the fragrance of the fruit is overwhelming, and it contains a strong magical energy.
Overall, it looks a bit like an apple.
Linda distributed one to each of the team members, and they ate it on their way back to the villa in a horse-drawn carriage.
[System notification: Consuming a Bronze-level World Tree Fruit will grant 1 experience point per second for 1000 seconds.]
