"What's wrong?" Linda asked, noticing Lulu staring outside.
Lulu closed the curtain and said, "It's nothing, just looking at a turtle."
"turtle?"
Linda looked outside curiously.
But by then, Tasia had already been swallowed up by the dense crowd behind her.
...
It took them a full hour to get to the swan amusement park in the suburbs.
"It's so congested! It would normally take twenty minutes to get there," Linda exclaimed.
"It's been so long since I've been out and about." Leah jumped off the train and looked up at the road ahead.
There is a huge archway with a white swan with outstretched wings carved on it.
As darkness fell, the magic array inside the swan activated, releasing a shimmering white light that was breathtakingly beautiful, as if it would soar into the sky at any moment.
In the park behind the archway, couples and families with children were chatting and laughing.
Ferris wheel, carousel, musical fountain, roller coaster...
Leah hasn't played any of them.
The girl stood in front of the archway, her eyes reflecting the colorful amusement park. Her shadow stretched long, and her shoulders slumped slightly.
During their childhood, Leah and Belinne relied on each other for survival in the slums. Later, they were taken in by the Bloody Baron. In order not to be looked down upon by the Mandala family, Leah devoted herself to training and practicing her sword skills.
The only pleasures are eating sweets and occasionally drinking ale.
These playground facilities, which are commonplace for city children, seem strangely unfamiliar to Leah.
Although she wasn't short of money after becoming an adventurer, Leah never thought of wasting her time in a place like this.
Lia looked up at the amusement park, her eyes inexplicably welling up with tears. She felt a little pathetic, wondering how she had never even experienced any of these rides. The captain of the Snow Goose Adventure Team, she was just a genuine country bumpkin.
“Yes, it’s been a long time since I’ve been out to play.” Linda walked to Leah’s side, looking at the colorful lights in the amusement park, her heart filled with mixed feelings.
Leah's face was filled with dejection: "I've been to amusement parks before, someone like me is just a country bumpkin."
"So what?" Linda found it amusing. "If that's the case, then we're all country bumpkins."
Monica and Lulu nodded as well.
"What do you mean?" Leah looked at them incredulously.
Linda: "I've never been to a place like this before."
"That's a lie."
There's no reason for me to lie to you.
"If you haven't been there before, you can go now."
Linda grabbed Leah's wrist.
The girl was slightly taken aback.
She looked down at the spot where Linda had grabbed her, her mind wandering.
Is this Linda holding her hand?
The last time... it was the last time.
Leah couldn't remember when it was.
Lulu and the others quickly followed.
The group entered the amusement park together.
Lia thought to herself, "No one can call me a country bumpkin anymore."
