Chapter 281 Lia's Confession, But I Like Everyone

That evening, the group went on all the rides at the amusement park.

But Leah didn't seem particularly excited. Some things, once missed, can't be retrieved even if you want to later. Roller coasters, Ferris wheels... as a child, Leah would probably have been so excited about riding these that she couldn't sleep all night. But now, as a level 28 adventurer and captain of the Snow Goose team, Leah, sitting on them, just thought, 'Oh, so that's how it is.'

As the group got off the Ferris wheel, Leah noticed that there were very few children among the tourists; most were couples.

Leah then realized that she had been mistaken. The amusement park on Winter Solstice night wasn't a place for children to play; it was actually a perfect date spot!

Enjoying the panoramic night view of White Dove City through the glass of a Ferris wheel while quietly savoring the private space just for the two of you – that's the real fun of an amusement park.

Leah glanced at Linda without making a sound. Linda had been holding Monica's hand ever since they entered the amusement park.

An inexplicable impulse compelled Leah to reach out and touch Linda's free left hand.

Just then.

"Captain, we haven't played that one yet!"

Monica pointed to a pumpkin-shaped building in front of her and said expectantly, "It's a haunted house, Captain, shall we go play there?"

The giant pumpkin opened its gaping maw, its eyes flashing with a ghostly green light, and a swarm of bats flew out from within.

A blood-stained, crooked sign hangs above the pumpkin's gaping mouth: [Evil Pumpkin Castle]!

There were many people in line; it seemed very popular.

"Let's go take a look."

Linda and the others walked over.

Half an hour later, we finally arrived at the entrance.

"Please draw lots to determine the order of entry. It's two people per group."

The young lady, dressed as a wizard and wearing a huge black hat, smiled sweetly and handed the lottery box to Linda and the others.

Each of them took out a ball from inside.

The result of the assignment is that Isa and Monica are in the same group.

Lindalia's group.

Lulu unfortunately didn't get a turn and had to go to a group alone.

"I didn't get to be assigned to Captain." Monica muttered to herself.

Of the four girls present, all except Leah showed disappointment in their eyes.

Isa quickly composed herself, bent down and offered her hand to Monica: "I'll protect you, let's go in together."

"Mmm." Monica blinked, and Isa led her into the Evil Pumpkin Castle.

After waiting for a while, it was Lulu's turn to go in.

Lulu noticed Linda's worried look and said, "Don't worry about me. Haunted houses like this can only scare three-year-olds."

As Lulu entered Pumpkin Castle, after a short wait, the young lady reminded Linda, "It's your turn."

“Let’s go,” Linda said to Leah.

"Ah... um." Leah was absent-minded, her head bowed in a daze.

"Please wait a moment, both of you."

The young woman tapped the blackboard next to her helplessly. "The rules are written there, right? When entering the Evil Pumpkin Castle in pairs, you must hold hands! There are many illusionary magic circles inside. If you don't do this, you might not be able to find your partner and get lost inside!"

"If you're too scared, open this magic scroll and the staff will come to rescue you."

The other party handed a scroll about the size of a thumb to Linda and Lia.

"Thanks."

Linda glanced at Leah and hesitated before saying, "If you don't want to, you don't have to go in."

“Since we’re already here,” Leah shook her head and extended her hand.

With slender fingers and delicate pink nails, it's hard to imagine that these are the hands of a swordsman.

Linda took Lydia's hand in hers.

Small and delicate, with a faint warmth, you can clearly feel the soft fingertips pressing against your palm.

The surrounding noise seemed to disappear, becoming unusually quiet, leaving only himself and Leah's little hand.

When Linda was holding Monica's hand, her mindset was mainly to protect her teammates. So what was this tingling feeling she was experiencing now? Linda glanced at Lia in surprise. After staring at her for a while, Lia sensed it and looked up at him. She saw that the girl's face was flushed, which was a stark contrast to her usual stubbornness and gave her a very cute feeling.

What? You think Leah is cute? You must be out of your mind!

Linda noticed that the female staff member was covering her mouth and giggling, so she coughed and said, "Let's go in, don't keep the people behind us waiting."

"Um."

Leah nodded.

Inside was a pitch-black passageway, like entering a mountain cave.

There was puddles underfoot, and water droplets dripped from above, sometimes falling unexpectedly onto my neck, icy cold.

The illusion magic circle is very realistic.

Above them were many round, green fluorescent stones, their dim light barely illuminating their feet. Even though the two were very close, they could only make out each other's blurry profiles.

Walking through the cave, a sense of tranquility arises spontaneously.

There is no better opportunity than now.

Lia thought to herself.

Then, Linda heard Lia's apology.

"sorry."

"Huh? What?"

"What's not aligned? Or is the Ghost Adventurer Team just too weak to handle?"

Three question marks popped up above Linda's head.

The cave was filled with only a faint, firefly-like emerald light. Leah's profile was blurry, and the only thing Linda could feel was the strangeness in her palm.

Lia's hands were taut, and the pounding of her heart was transmitted through her veins to Linda, making Linda a little nervous as well.

Could it be that Leah just said those three words?

Leah took a deep breath and repeated, "I said, I'm sorry, I'm kicking you out of the team."
