Chapter 317 Spending the Night in the Cave, Sleeping Together Under the Same Blanket, Linda's Battle Plan

Tasia prepared the meal and placed it on the table, saying casually, "There's still plenty of water. I suggest you thoroughly clean every part of your body. I don't want to spend the next two weeks with a filthy adventurer."

Leah had no argument, so she hummed in agreement and went behind the shower curtain.

"They probably won't peek, right?"

Just in case, I'll ask.

Lin Da laughed: "Who likes to look at steel plates? I have no interest at all."

Leah was so angry she gritted her teeth.

Three years ago she was only fifteen, but now... Lia squeezed her face with a dark expression and looked down hard, revealing a small gap.

Linda knows nothing, so why does she call her a steel plate? Lia had an urge to lift the curtain and prove herself.

And so, separated by a curtain of banana leaves, Linda and Tasia ate and drank ale together, while Lia washed herself.

The sound of water splashing was mixed with the slight rustling sound of rubbing ash.

You could glimpse the girl's snow-white calves and feet through the narrow crack in the ground.

The clothes lay on the ground, with a bright yellow bear-themed underwear set sitting in the middle. Accompanied by the soft sound of water, Linda became somewhat curious.

He glanced at her every now and then, wondering if he should use the Dark Whip to knock off the banana leaf and see how embarrassed Leah looked.

But Linda dismissed the terrible idea, thinking that Leah might break down on the spot.

Ten minutes later, Leah emerged from behind the curtain.

She was wearing an exceptionally loose white shirt that reached almost to her knees, exposing her calves, and a pair of straw sandals.

The clothes were naturally lent to Lia by Linda. Lia's ring contained almost nothing but magic cores, gold coins, and equipment dropped by monsters. She was worried about them being stolen from the villa's storage room, so she felt safer keeping them in her spatial ring.

This meant that the already small ring had even less space to hold strategy materials, resulting in her miserable state for the past ten days.

After her bath, Lia was steaming, the water heated by her fire-type battle aura. Her half-dry red hair clung to her back, with water droplets still dripping down.

Her hands were hidden in the wide sleeves of her shirt, with only a tiny bit of her fingers showing. Combined with her gloomy face, she didn't look very bright.

The only thing worth praising was the natural fragrance on Leah's body. As soon as Linda stepped out of the shower, she immediately smelled a scent similar to jasmine.

On the table was a bowl of rice porridge and a small plate of uneaten beef.

Lia rolled up her sleeves and started cooking.

She carefully licked up each grain of rice with her tongue, chewed it thoroughly, and then swallowed it.

Linda and Tasia couldn't help but glance at his focused expression.

Linda thought to herself: This guy seems to have suffered a lot.

After Leah finished eating, Linda took out a greatsword from her ring. "It must have been thrown out by the rock snake. I just happened to see it and picked it up."

After saying that, he walked to the corner, to the young Saw Mushroom that was tied up, and took out a short knife to bleed it.

"Uh, thanks." Leah breathed a sigh of relief and put the Firebird Feather Sword back into her ring.

Seeing Linda collecting the blood of the Saw Mushroom, she asked in surprise, "The blood of the Saw Mushroom is poisonous. Why are you collecting this?"

"It is the most common 'water source' in the closed, secret realm."

Linda collected the released blood into a basin and added some green powder.

In a short while, the turbid yellow blood was filtered and gradually became clear, with impurities settling to the bottom.

This amazing scene made Leah's eyes widen: "What's going on?"

Linda explained, "Theoretically, the blood of the Saw Mushroom is poisonous, but if you add powder made from Green Tail Grass, let it settle for three days to filter out the impurities, and then boil it, you'll get the clear and sweet 'water' we drink now. This obscure knowledge is basically useless and rarely mentioned in books."

"What about the 'rainbow mushroom'? I remember the book said it wasn't poisonous, so why did I faint from being poisoned?"

Without that pot of rainbow mushrooms, Leah wouldn't have been found unconscious in the forest by Linda; in a sense, she should thank the poisonous mushrooms.

"Oh, you mean that?" Linda chuckled. "It's probably because it wasn't cooked long enough. Rainbow mushrooms must be boiled in boiling water for at least 30 minutes to remove the toxins."

"Forehead..."

Leah scratched her head in frustration.

Let's summarize the current situation.

Outside the vine curtain, the sky had completely darkened, and night was about to fall.

Linda usually holds a tactical meeting at this time to plan for tomorrow.

"Lia, now that you're here, you'll be under my command for the time being, is that alright? Of course, if you insist on acting alone, I won't stop you, but I won't share any food with you; you'll have to stay here for free."

Linda said.

If she follows his orders, then she's considered a worker, and it's only right that he provides her with meals. If Liya doesn't listen, he can only provide her with lodging; she'll have to figure out the rest herself.

Leah didn't deny it; the beef stew with potatoes alone had won her over, and she nodded, "No problem."

Linda hummed in agreement. He stood up and, like a teacher instructing students, took out a small blackboard from his ring and hung it on the wall.

I drew a simple picture with chalk, and you can vaguely make out that it is some kind of fruit.

"As things stand, the issues of water, food, and shelter have been resolved, but these alone cannot guarantee our absolute safety for the remaining 20 days."

As is customary in closed Greater Rifts, the further you progress, the greater the probability of encountering severe weather, such as [Thunderstorm], which can corrode an adventurer's life barrier, temporarily seal some magic circuits, and prevent the use of skills.
