The remaining spearman stood there, his face ashen.
His companion's blood sprayed all over his face.
Thanks to his companions' intervention, the vine dragon ran out of magic just as it reached him.
The area was completely silent, save for the sound of water dripping from the cave above.
The spear made his throat dry, and he stared blankly ahead.
Starting with Linda, the vine dragon carved out a straight path.
The places we passed through were deserted.
Pauli and two other heavily armored warriors, along with their swordsman companion, all perished tragically.
Despite being at the same Star Rank, Linda managed to kill four people in a single move!
"You, you, you, don't come any closer!"
The spearman was a kobold named Doug.
His black and white spotted tail, hidden beneath his robe, was tucked nervously between his legs, and his voice was tinged with a sob.
Not all cult members are fanatical believers in the devil; some are simply working people who see this job as a high-paying career.
Working for the Demon King, fine.
To risk one's life? No way!
"Die!"
Linda had no intention of letting Doug off the hook. She charged forward, unleashing a brutal triple slash followed by a venom spray, taking the life of the level 30 kobold.
Blood splattered on Linda's chest, but he remained expressionless as he walked toward the cultists in the back row.
The group of people were terrified.
Even heavily armored warriors couldn't stop this demon. If we let him come over, wouldn't that be like a tiger entering a flock of sheep?
Except for a few fanatical followers who were slapped to death by Linda in their self-pity, the rest scattered and fled.
Harus's face was ashen. He slammed his black gem staff into the ground and roared:
"That's Senlong's skill. How dare you, a newly promoted Star Rank cultivator, possess it?!"
The Dragon's Wrath is a rare skill of the same level as the Moon Rank, and its power is slightly weaker than a critical hit, but it can be used multiple times.
Besides the wings that allow them to soar through the sky, the strongest advantage of the Moon Rank is its rare skills.
Skill books like the Dragon's Roar skill book cost at least 20 million gold.
And there is no market for it despite its price.
Linda had only recently advanced to the Star Rank. According to the information gathered by Herus, after being kicked out by Xueyan, Linda was so poor that she lived in a slum. How could someone like that possibly come up with 20 million gold coins?
"Could it be...?"
Halus recalled the level 10 Mythic+ dungeon from a month ago.
Every adventurer in the Dragon Forest has heard the dragon's roar that echoed through the mountains and forests.
Halus's heart skipped a beat.
"Could it be that you killed that forest dragon?!"
Impossible, absolutely impossible!
How could you, a mere Star Rank, possibly kill a level 49 Forest Dragon? Even a regular Light Rank would have to expend considerable effort to defeat it!
Halus was filled with doubt and uncertainty.
Just then, Linda leaped into the air and cleaved the bars of the iron cage with a single sword stroke.
"Dark Whip!"
The whip wrapped around Monica's waist, and she fell directly into Linda's arms!
Linda breathed a sigh of relief after finally rescuing her team member.
Monica trembled uncontrollably in his arms.
"It's alright now. The captain will take you home in a bit!"
Seeing how much thinner Monica had become, Linda couldn't help but feel a pang of sadness.
"No, no!"
Monica pushed Linda hard, but because she wasn't strong enough, Linda didn't move. Instead, Monica almost fell on her bottom, and she was so anxious that she wanted to cry.
"Captain, you're just a burden with Monica, you should run!"
Having spent a month here, Monica knew very well just how terrifying Harus's methods were.
Linda is fine on her own, but with her as a burden, forget about defeating Halus, even escaping will be a problem.
Monica knew how important she was to Harus and would certainly not kill her until the experiment was successful.
She spread her arms wide, like a trembling little hen, and stood in front of Linda.
Monica glared at Halus: "If you dare to hurt Captain, I won't cooperate with you anymore! Make Captain leave now!"
Seeing Monica's petite and frail body protecting her, Linda didn't know whether to laugh or cry!
"A mere Halus is nothing to me, Captain."
Knowing that there were reinforcements behind her, Linda was full of confidence.
At this moment, looking at Monica's obedient appearance as she tried to hold back her tears, the anger in his chest was already burning fiercely.
If she had arrived any later, Monica might have been tortured to death by Halus's experiments.
"Monica, what are you doing? Hurry up and come back to Grandpa's side!"
When Halus saw Monica being rescued by Linda, he became anxious and said in a rage:
"Monica, you don't want to see your dear captain die in front of you, do you?"
If you don't come over now, don't blame Grandpa for killing Linda with his own hands!

A twenty-meter-long purple dragon roared out, and Herus had no time to dodge. His eyes widened, and with a loud bang, he was sent flying like a broken sack, sinking deep into the stone wall!
"Ugh!"
Blood gushed from Harus's mouth and nose, and his life barrier dimmed by half.
"Linda, how dare you hurt me? Dozens of my followers from the Dragon Rest Tomb have surrounded you, how dare you! You madman!"
Haus cursed loudly.
Ten purple teardrop-shaped gems encircled his head; these were the follow-up damage effects of the Poison Dragon's Roar, Dragon's Lament.
With each broken piece, Halus's face grew paler.
Harus tore open bottles and jars, poured them all into his mouth, and shouted to the cultists, "What are you standing there for? Healing spell!"
