Chapter 99 Damage Test, Encounter with Krona

There were six people in Xueyan in total. How come there's one less? Why is there such a big change?

Krona couldn't quite put her finger on what was going on, but she sensed that something was different.

She was very happy for the first few days.

With Linda gone, there was finally no one to care about her.

No one will bother you if you eat snacks in the middle of the night or play puppet games until dawn.

She no longer needed to eavesdrop on footsteps outside. She quickly turned off the light and turned it back on after Linda left.

Chrona had a blast for two days.

Then, I felt something was off.

Puppet shows aren't as appealing as they used to be, and comic books aren't very good either.

It seems that it's more fun to watch and play secretly, hiding from Linda.

Even if she was engrossed in having fun all day and didn't eat, Aiko and Lia couldn't be bothered with her.

"Hungry? There are some pre-cooked meals from the restaurant in the fridge, heat them up yourself."

"Oh, you're not eating?"

"If you don't eat, you'll go hungry."

"Lia, don't talk to her like that—Krona, if you're hungry, go to a restaurant outside. I need to do my beauty treatment, so I won't keep you company."

Leah simply ignored her.

Ai Ke only talks the talk, but never walks the walk.

Chrona was having a tough time. Linda, on the other hand, would get up in the middle of the night to cook if she was hungry.

I practiced in the lobby for half a day.

She was covered in sweat, and her throat was parched. If she had come with Linda, she probably would have already prepared water…

After removing her armor, a petite girl emerged from inside.

Chrona wore a black dress with white stockings that reached her waist, and a white blouse with lace trim.

She was dressed like a pampered youngest daughter of a noble family.

She sat sullenly on a bench to rest, taking out a Magical Handheld Gamer from a backpack with a giant rabbit pattern.

The puppet inside was a limited edition swordsman that she bought for 5,000 gold, but she didn't find it enjoyable to play with it at all.

Chrona casually fiddled with the joystick, her mind still replaying the scene of conquering the 11th floor.

There was a question she had been pondering for days but couldn't figure out.

Why can't I hold the monster?

When Linda was in charge, the monsters kept attacking her, but her innate skill 'Guardian Heart' could create an impenetrable defense to protect her teammates from harm!

After each mission, Linda, Aiko, and the others would praise her for being capable.

Chrona particularly enjoyed this feeling of being needed.

However, in the 11th floor strategy under Phyllis's command, she desperately attacked the monsters but couldn't draw their aggro.

This created a comical scene: the monster was chasing after Eko and Kaine in the back row, but Chrona's armor was too heavy, and she was chasing the monster from behind with a small axe, but she couldn't catch up no matter what.

As a result, Chrona couldn't deal any damage or withstand any attacks, and could only chase after the monsters helplessly.

Leah's criticisms still echoed in my ears.

Krona was afraid of the captain; she lost to Lia in a one-on-one duel, which is why she joined the Snow Goose Adventure Team.

"I don't want any criticism..." Chrona hugged her head, her delicate body trembling slightly.

—As a heavily armored warrior, he didn't protect his teammates and even caused their deaths!

The angry curses of her former teammates seemed to echo in her head, and Chrona instantly turned pale, dropping the magic handheld game console from her hand with a thud.

"Be careful, this thing must be very valuable."

A calm and steady voice came from behind.

Krona looked up blankly, and what came into view was an extremely familiar face.

“Linda,” she said blankly.

After a week apart, her impression of Linda had changed significantly.

She no longer always looks worried and preoccupied.

I became much more cheerful.

Is Uncle Zayu really that happy about leaving the Snow Goose Adventure Team?

As she took the handheld console, she noticed a strange girl behind Linda. The girl had long brown hair and timid eyes, peeking at Linda's magical handheld console.

When the girl's eyes met hers, she was so frightened that she hid behind Linda.

"Monica, it's okay. This is my former teammate. He won't hurt you." Linda affectionately rubbed the girl's head and gently pushed her forward. "Go make some friends."

"I...I am Monica," the girl said weakly.

"Your new teammate?"

Chrona glared at Monica, still harboring resentment.

"Hmm." Linda greeted her, "How have you been lately? Have you been eating well?"

Chrona shook her head, "I haven't eaten since this morning!"

Linda paused for a moment, then said, "Remember to eat when you go back."

"oh..."

that's all?

Chrona clenched her little fists in distress. It seemed that Linda didn't care about her anymore!

She glanced at the timid Monica and felt a surge of anger. Every team has a favorite member; in the Snow Goose Adventure Team, it was her, while in Linda's Adventure Team, it was this girl named Monica—the girl who had been secretly watching her magic handheld device. Their roles overlapped!

What a coward! He doesn't even dare to look her in the eye, and his magical aura is inferior to hers!

Why should someone like this receive the concern of Uncle Minor?

Krona's eyes blazed with fury, convinced that Monica had stolen Linda from Xueyan.

Her angry expression made Monica, who had mustered the courage to stand up and make friends, shrink back behind Linda.

Linda said helplessly, "It's not easy to meet someone who plays the same game as you. Why don't you make friends? The captain and Kaphni will go test the damage first, and we'll call you when it's your turn."
