Chapter 147 Resonance
The soldier took the equipment box and immediately took action according to the instructions.
The poisonous spider's eyes never left Su Wanqing. "Miss Su, you seem to be very familiar with the equipment here."
"I just read some information in some abandoned laboratories."
Su Wanqing replied, "As a doctor, it is important to understand some basic instrument principles."
"Yeah." The poisonous spider nodded, but his eyes were still full of doubt.
Just as he was about to continue asking questions, a rebel assistant came over and whispered, "Sir, the situation is not good. Someone outside reported that suspicious people were found near the base. We may need to increase vigilance."
Poison Spider's expression became even gloomier. "Suspicious person? Who is it?"
"It's not clear yet. However, their actions are very secretive and they seem to be looking for some target," the assistant replied.
Poison Spider was silent for a while, then said, "Don't act rashly. Continue to strengthen vigilance and find out their identities and purpose. If they dare to threaten the base, arrest them immediately."
He raised his head and looked at Su Wanqing, a complex emotion flashing in his eyes.
"Ms. Su, thank you for your help. If your medicine can work, I will consider further cooperation with you."
Then he turned and left to deal with the situation outside the base.
Su Wanqing breathed a sigh of relief, knowing that she had temporarily gotten rid of the poisonous spider's suspicion.
She turned and looked out the window, and found Lin Che standing on guard with a nervous expression.
Lin Che's spiritual energy fluctuations were stronger than usual, and he seemed to be trying hard to control the power in his body.
Su Wanqing noticed that Lin Che's fingers were trembling slightly and beads of sweat appeared on his forehead.
“Ye…” Lin Che’s voice was so soft that it was almost inaudible.
Suddenly, an imperceptible wave of consciousness came, and Ye's voice sounded in Lin Che's mind.
"Cooperate, join me, and you will gain power beyond your imagination."
Lin Che covered her head in pain. "No...I won't agree to you!"
He gritted his teeth, trying his best to suppress the temptation of the night. His spiritual energy surged wildly, and the air around him began to become distorted.
He felt like he could no longer hold on and could be completely controlled by Ye at any time.
Su Wanqing noticed Lin Che's abnormality, and she hurried over to try to comfort him.
However, Lin Che seemed to have not heard her voice at all. His eyes were dull and his face was full of pain.
"Lin Che, what's wrong with you?" Su Wanqing asked softly.
Lin Che raised his head suddenly, a glimmer of clarity flashed in his eyes. He shook his head and said, "It's okay... I just feel a little dizzy."
Su Wanqing knew that Lin Che was not telling the truth. She understood that Ye was trying to control him and was gradually succeeding.
She must find a solution to the problem as soon as possible, otherwise Lin Che might completely become Ye's puppet.
Su Wanqing put down the last virus sample and breathed a sigh of relief only after confirming that the temperature in the freezer had returned to normal.
She was about to wipe the sweat from her forehead when a low humming sounded in the laboratory.
She looked up and saw that the screen of a data recorder was flashing a red error code, and it kept jumping as if it was infected by a virus.
Soon after, the same situation occurred on another spectrum analyzer, and the densely packed numbers on the screen became chaotic.
"What's going on?" Su Wanqing walked to the control console and tried to diagnose the equipment failure.
She quickly input the command, but found that the system could not respond at all, as if it was interfered with by some force.
"Ms. Su, the instrument has a large-scale data deviation and is restarting automatically." The assistant ran over in a hurry, his face a little pale.
Su Wanqing's heart tightened, and she vaguely felt that something was wrong.
She subconsciously looked at the pendant on the experimental table. At this moment, the pendant was emitting a faint light, and there were faint traces of fine lines flowing on the surface.
Light, lines, vibrations. Not only that, she also felt an indescribable energy fluctuation, spreading out from the pendant.
"Stop all experiments!" Su Wanqing ordered immediately, "Isolate this area immediately!"
Just as she gave the order, a sharp alarm suddenly sounded in the laboratory.
She turned around and saw rows of experimental samples in incubators moving towards the pendant in a strange way.
Those low-level zombie viruses that were supposed to grow quietly in the petri dishes now seemed to have life, twisting their bodies and trying to get close to the pendant.
"Activate the protective shield!" Su Wanqing shouted loudly.
A translucent blue barrier immediately rose in the laboratory, isolating the pendant and the experimental samples.
But even so, the protective glass continued to make harsh sounds, as if it could be broken at any time.
"This...how is this possible?" The assistant looked at everything in front of him in horror, his voice trembling slightly.
Su Wanqing frowned. She knew that this was not just a simple equipment failure.
The impact of the pendant was far greater than she had imagined.
"Mr. Venomous Spider should be back soon. We have to clean this place up as soon as possible."
Su Wanqing whispered. She quickly walked to the pendant and carefully put it back into the lead box that she had prepared in advance.
After the lid of the lead box was closed, the vibrations and alarms in the laboratory were significantly weakened, but the experimental samples were still surging, trying to break through the barrier.
"Clean up the records, delete all related data, and keep it secret."
Su Wanqing quickly cleaned up the traces of the operation, trying not to leave any suspicious evidence.
She knew that if the poisonous spider discovered that something was wrong here, she would probably be in trouble.
“Ms. Su, Lin Che has been waiting outside.” The assistant reported.
"Let him in." Su Wanqing said, "Tell him to prepare to evacuate immediately."
A few minutes later, Lin Che walked in with a hint of confusion on his face.
He vaguely felt a strange energy fluctuation in the laboratory, which made him feel a little uneasy.
"Lin Che, the situation is urgent. We must leave here immediately."
Su Wanqing quickly explained the situation to him, "I suspect there is something wrong with the pendant. It is causing some uncontrollable reactions."
After hearing this, Lin Che's expression turned serious. "Ye...can he feel it?" he asked softly.
Su Wanqing did not answer, but just nodded. She knew that there must be some connection between Ye and the pendant, otherwise the pendant would not suddenly react so violently.
"Where is Lu Zhao?" Su Wanqing asked.
“We are already on guard at the periphery, ready to provide cover at any time.” Lin Che replied.
"Okay, let's go." Su Wanqing said, and took the lead to walk towards the laboratory exit.
Just as they were about to leave, Xiao Ran's voice came from the communicator.
"Su Wanqing, I found something interesting here."
"What is it?" Su Wanqing asked.
"The rebel group left behind some equipment with an old-time special forces identification code on it."
Xiao Ran said, "The appearance of this code here may mean that there is a split within the rebels."
Su Wanqing's heart moved. The internal division of the rebels was undoubtedly good news for them.
But she didn't have time to investigate further now, she had to ensure her own safety first.
"Got it, we will check it out as soon as possible." Su Wanqing said, "Xiao Ran, be careful."
She quickened her pace and left the laboratory with Lin Che.
