Chapter 96 Feng Mingzhou really got sick.
This time, it was no longer a simple plunder, but more like a desperate confirmation, with a strong sense of panic and possessiveness.
He kissed her fiercely and urgently, as if he wanted to devour all her breath and leave his mark deeply on her.
As Gu Manman was kissed by him, the air in her lungs became thinner and thinner, and her body became so limp that she could hardly stand.
He finally let her go until she was about to suffocate, resting his forehead against hers, his hot breath spraying on her face.
Both men's chests were heaving violently and they were breathing rapidly.
The night wind blew, bringing a hint of coolness, and also made Gu Manman regain some clarity of mind.
She raised her hand, used all her strength, and slapped him hard in the face!
“Bang!”
Feng Mingzhou was hit so hard that his head tilted to the side, and clear five finger marks quickly appeared on his cheek.
He seemed not to feel the pain. He just turned his head slowly and looked at her with serious eyes.
That look was so complicated that it frightened Gu Manman.
There is hurt, madness, paranoia, and vulnerability.
"He looks like me when I was young, doesn't he?"
"So that's why you smiled so happily at him?"
"So you danced with him?"
His eyes were terribly sinister, "Do you think he can replace my younger self?!"
The emotions surging in his eyes were too terrifying.
Gu Manman's heart trembled. Before she had time to digest the madness in his words, the next second, the car keys in her hand were snatched away by him.
Feng Mingzhou opened the passenger door and pushed her in.
Before she could react, the driver's door slammed shut.
She just took out her cell phone to make a call when Feng Mingzhou snatched the phone away and threw it into the back seat.
Before she could react, the car rushed out.
Gu Manman was pressed against the seat by the huge push on her back, and her heart suddenly tightened.
The scenery outside the car window was rapidly receding and whizzing past my eyes.
Feng Mingzhou's fingers were gripping the steering wheel with such force that they turned white, veins on the back of his hands were bulging, his jawline was stretched tight, and his profile looked particularly cold and hard in the flickering light.
He stepped on the accelerator to the bottom and the car went at an alarming speed.
At the red light intersection, he didn't even slow down and rushed straight through!
Gu Manman was so frightened that she screamed.
"Feng Mingzhou! Are you crazy?! Stop the car!"
Another red light! He ran through it again without paying attention, narrowly avoiding a truck coming sideways.
Gu Manman's heart almost jumped out of her throat: "If you want to die, don't drag me down!"
Feng Mingzhou turned a deaf ear to him, and his men turned the steering wheel sharply again and continued to rush forward.
Gu Manman looked at him with an obviously abnormal look, and the fear in her heart gradually overwhelmed her anger.
He seemed to be really out of control.
"Feng Mingzhou..." She called his name tentatively, "Calm down for a moment, okay? Pull the car over to the side..."
The man still didn't respond, as if he didn't hear her words.
The car sped along.
Gu Manman closed her eyes, not daring to look out the window again, and could only pray in her heart.
After an unknown amount of time, the car speed finally slowed down.
When the car stopped with an emergency brake, the huge inertia pushed her forward and the seat belt hurt her.
She opened her eyes and found that the car had stopped in the familiar yard of the western suburbs villa.
The engine was turned off and the surroundings became quiet instantly.
Gu Manman was still in shock, her hands and feet were still a little weak, and her heart was still beating wildly.
The passenger door was opened.
The man leaned over.
Gu Manman subconsciously shrank back into her seat.
He didn't say anything, just reached out and pressed the seat belt buckle.
“Click.”
Gu Manman took a deep breath, supported herself on the seat, and tried to get out of the car by herself.
As soon as my feet touched the ground, my knees bent uncontrollably.
The body suddenly lost balance and fell down.
The expected pain did not come.
Feng Mingzhou put his arms around her waist and held her firmly in his arms.
Gu Manman froze in his arms, not daring to move, and could only feel his strong heartbeat through the fabric of his clothes.
He carried her back to the master bedroom.
/
There was the sound of water splashing in the bathroom.
Gu Manman sat on the edge of the bed, her heartbeat had not yet completely calmed down, and the shock she had just felt was still there.
She looked at the closed bathroom door, then at the cell phone that Feng Mingzhou had casually thrown on the bedside table.
She reached out and took it. On the password interface, she pressed her birthday without thinking.
It’s open.
The screen lit up, and what came into view was her photo.
She opened the call record and found Zhao Yang.
She hit the dial.
The phone rang a few times and was quickly connected.
"Hello? What's wrong, Mingzhou? Did you miss me in the middle of the night?" Zhao Yang's voice sounded a little noisy, with a hint of teasing.
Gu Manman cleared her throat: "Ahem, Zhao Yang, it's me, Gu Manman."
There was an instant silence on the other end of the line.
A few seconds later, Zhao Yang's high-pitched voice came, with incredible surprise: "Sister-in-law...Sister-in-law?! What are you..."
"Feng Mingzhou..."
Gu Manman quickly and briefly recounted what happened tonight.
Zhao Yang sighed heavily over there: "Alas...he is sick."
Gu Manman was stunned.
"No, sister-in-law, I don't mean to scold him," Zhao Yang explained quickly, "He...he is really sick. You died... No, I mean that during the time you were away, he suffered from depression. I think he is sick now. He might even think you are an illusion."
depression?
That strong, overbearing, and arrogant Feng Mingzhou...
"Then...what should we do now?" Her voice was a little dry.
"The housekeeper always has medicine on hand," Zhao Yang said, "Once he calms down, he should be fine. You...you shouldn't provoke him yet."
"Okay, I understand."
Gu Manman hung up the phone and put the phone back on the bedside table.
She stood up and tried to find the housekeeper, but when she turned the doorknob, she found it was locked.
"where are you going?"
Feng Mingzhou's voice came from behind.
Gu Manman turned around. His hair was still dripping with water. The wet hair stuck to his forehead, making his eyes look even darker. He was staring at her without blinking.
He approached step by step, enveloping her with the wetness from the shower.
"Where are you going now?" he repeated the question.
"I'm...hungry, want to go downstairs and eat something?"
"I'll go make you a bowl of noodles."
Gu Manman was stunned.
He didn't say anything more, turned around, reached out his hand naturally, and held her hand tightly.
Gu Manman looked at his eyes which clearly showed that something was wrong. Her body stiffened and she could only let him drag her out of the bedroom.
The villa was very quiet, with only the sound of two people's footsteps going downstairs echoing.
His hand never loosened.
He let go of her when they reached the kitchen downstairs, walked to the refrigerator, and took out eggs and vegetables.
The faucet was turned on and the sound of rushing water was heard.
He turned his back to her and washed the vegetables carefully.
Gu Manman stood there, looking at his tall figure which looked somewhat lonely under the light, feeling mixed emotions.
Zhao Yang’s words were still echoing in his ears—he was sick.
She took a few steps back quietly.
"Butler," she lowered her voice, "where are his medicines?"
The housekeeper showed a worried and embarrassed look on his face: "Yes, Miss Gu. The doctor left some medicine, but..."
"Just what?"
The housekeeper sighed: "Sir, he...is not very cooperative in taking medicine."
Gu Manman frowned: "Then...what about putting it in milk?"
The housekeeper looked embarrassed: "This medicine will be bitter after it melts. I'm afraid..."
He paused, as if he had thought of something, and looked at Gu Manman with a firm tone, "However, if it was Miss Gu who served it to him, let alone bitter, even if it was poison, I'm afraid he would drink it anyway."
