"Song Ci, come in quickly!"
Hearing the assistant's urging, Song Ci retracted his gaze and walked into the interview room with his head held high.
After seeing Song Ci come in, Du Xueyan turned her head and said to Gu Shengyao beside her: "Was that look she just gave me a provocation?" Du Xueyan found it unbelievable. In the past two years, few people dared to be so arrogant in front of her.
There was a hint of smile in Gu Shengyao's eyes, "Quite arrogant." As expected of a young man, a little arrogance is cute.
"You are young and energetic after all, and you don't know how to keep a low profile." Du Xueyan said this and turned away.
Gu Shengyao understood Du Xueyan's thoughts and said, "You are jealous of her."
Du Xueyan thought Gu Shengyao's words were ridiculous. She was a Grammy-recognized female singer with all kinds of trophies. How could she be jealous of Song Ci? "Tell me, what am I jealous of her for?"
Gu Shengyao's voice sounded calmly behind her: "You are jealous of Song Ci's youthful vigor and her determination." Song Ci dared to ignore everyone's contempt and ridicule and marry Han Zhan. This determination was something Du Xueyan despised but could not do.
Du Xueyan stopped dead in her tracks when she heard this. She turned around and glared at Gu Shengyao, angrily scolding him, "Gu Shengyao, you're so annoying." She hated Gu Shengyao's bluntness. For some things, the wisest person would see through them without saying anything.
Gu Shengyao shrugged and said, "I'm just telling the truth." Du Xueyan was absent-minded today, so he had to say something harsh to wake her up.
Du Xueyan was so angry that her neck became thick. She glared at Gu Shengyao fiercely, as if she had a lot to say, but in the end she said nothing and turned away.
She is not jealous of Song porcelain!
She was just a little girl who was proud of her good looks. She was still young and had not suffered the harsh beatings of society. She thought that having love meant having the whole world.
After all, you are still too young.
-
The very young Song Ci was staring at the two people sitting in the judges' seats in surprise.
On the left sat a middle-aged man in a casual suit, the world-renowned film director Du Junfei. To his right sat an elderly man with a European-American appearance. He had graying hair, dressed in a casual style, and a hooked nose that gave him an unapproachable air.
After recognizing the old man's identity, Song Ci's heart skipped a beat -
Coleman Brightman, the world-renowned father of piano, is hailed as the greatest musical miracle of the 20th century!
Born in France in 1950, Coleman is an autistic person who has refused to talk to anyone since childhood, shutting himself in his own world. However, this autistic person is also a piano prodigy. At the age of four, he saw a piano for the first time in a shopping mall and was able to play a touching melody without any instruction.
After discovering her son's musical talent, Klein's mother sent him to learn piano. Klein, who was quiet and couldn't even count to 100, amazed the world with his piano talent.
Two years ago, Kleman's elderly mother passed away from cancer. Before her death, she entrusted her diary, which contained details about Kleman's life, to award-winning Hollywood screenwriter Vichia, asking her to adapt it into a film. She hoped the film would allow the world to learn about the legendary pianist Kleman.
"Music Maniac" is a relic left to Coleman by his mother.
Rather than saying that "Music Maniac" is a movie, it is better to say that it is a biography, and Coleman is the protagonist.
Song Ci didn't expect to see Coleman here, and she became even more nervous.
Song Ci had met Du Junfei when she was a child, and back then she'd called him Second Master. But after not seeing him for so many years, Song Ci wasn't sure if he still remembered her, and she didn't want him to think she was trying to get in through connections, so she simply called out, "Hello, Director Du."
Du Junfei stared at her for a moment, then smiled. "Why, after only nine years, you don't recognize your Second Master?"
Seeing that Du Junfei's attitude towards him was still the same as when they were children, Song Ci immediately put on a broad, servile smile. "Second Master, it's been years since we last met. You're still as handsome as ever, not a bit older. How do you maintain your skin? I'd love to learn from you later!"
Song Ci lied with her eyes open, pretending not to see the wrinkles at the corners of Du Junfei's eyes.
Hearing this, Du Junfei's eyes warmed up. "You're still the same old familiar formula, smooth-talking and shameless." Du Junfei was surprised. How could Shen Yubei, who was so frugal with words, have taught an apprentice as smooth-talking as Song Ci?
Song Ci cast a questioning look at Du Junfei, "Director Du, is the old man next to you Coleman?" Song Ci was not sure whether she had recognized the wrong person, so she communicated with Du Junfei in Chinese.
Du Junfei nodded and told Song Ci, "This time, Coleman is the interviewer. Whether you can be selected by him depends on your ability. So, don't try to bribe your master. It's useless."
Song Ci sighed and said, "Second Master, you are looking down on me. I am kind, talented, and I never bribe anyone."
Du Junfei sneered.
As an autistic patient, Coleman rarely speaks to others on his own initiative. Sometimes when others talk to him, he acts as if he is daydreaming and ignores them.
So while Du Junfei and Song Ci were talking, he let them laugh happily, while Coleman was still staring at his watch in a daze, looking indifferent.
Song Ci put away her smile and said to Du Junfei, "Director Du, I'm ready."
The director nodded, then turned slightly and said a few words to Coleman. Coleman didn't respond, but his light blue eyes turned to Song Ci. He stared at Song Ci's figure and appearance for a full two minutes, until Song Ci felt uneasy and uncomfortable all over. Only then did Coleman look away.
