"Is violin your favorite instrument?" Coleman spoke English slowly but clearly.
Song Ci tried to speak as slowly as possible to answer Coleman, "Yes, I love the violin very much. It is my lifelong pursuit."
Coleman's expression warmed slightly.
He still sat upright, pointed at the violin in Song Ci's hand, and said to her, "Just play a song."
This allows Song Ci to choose the music himself.
Song Ci could choose a piece that she was good at or familiar with to show off her skills, or she could play some famous songs to please Coleman. Song Ci stared at Coleman's nervous sitting posture for a while, and finally took action.
She lifted up the violin, placed the bow on the strings, and played a popular tune -
Twinkle Twinkle Little Star Variations.
As the cheerful tune began to play, Coleman suddenly glanced at Song Ci, then gradually relaxed. He even raised his right hand, and as Song Ci played the tune, his fingers gently tapped in the air, as if he were playing the piano.
When he played faster, Song Ci also increased the tempo, and when he slowed down, Song Ci's tune also slowed down. This is how the two began to cooperate.
After the performance, Song Ci put down the violin and smiled sweetly at Coleman.
Coleman stared at Song Ci's smile. He was stunned for a moment, then turned his head and looked away. "How old are you?" Coleman asked the first question since they met.
Du Junfei glanced at Keleman in surprise. They had already interviewed five women today, and this was the first time Keleman had proactively asked about an interviewee's age. Even with the singer Du Xueyan, Keleman hadn't given any response.
Song Ci thought it was a routine question, so he answered, "23 years old."
Hearing this, the light in Coleman's eyes suddenly dimmed.
Kleiman stared at his watch again.
People with autism often behave strangely. They can suddenly become silent, or even suddenly become angry and loud. For someone like Coleman, occasionally staring blankly at an object is the best case scenario.
Neither Song Ci nor Du Junfei disturbed him.
After half a minute, Coleman raised his head again. He looked at her with a look that Song Ci couldn't understand and said to her, "Mike-me-smile."
Song Ci was a little surprised to hear this request. Du Junfei was also surprised. The two looked at each other, and Du Junfei turned his head and asked Keleman, "Keleman, you should let her perform the scene in the script."
Coleman seemed to be unable to hear Du Junfei's voice. He looked at Song Ci intently and said again: "Mike-me-smile, please."
Although he thought this request was strange, Coleman was the one who set the interview questions, so Song Ci could only try his best to satisfy him.
How to make an autistic person smile?
Just like a child loves candy or Barbie dolls, Kleinman also has his own favorite things. He loves music, music that makes people happy and can't help but smile.
Songci played a song...
Lullaby!
When they were young, whenever their mother played a lullaby to put her and her sisters to sleep, not only Song Ci but also Song Fei would fall asleep with a smile on their faces.
When the prelude of the lullaby sounded, Kleiman was startled. He completely relaxed, leaned back in the chair, and closed his eyes.
In Kleiman's mind, a young girl emerged. She was wearing a red plaid skirt, carrying a violin on her back, and hopping on the cobblestones in white leather shoes, like an elf.
Thinking of that girl, Coleman couldn't help but raise the corners of his mouth. The smile was shallow, but full of happiness.
As soon as Song Ci finished playing, the room fell silent. After a while, Coleman opened his eyes and stared at Song Ci. He said, "Rain." He turned to Du Junfei and said, "That's her."
Song Ci was confused.
Coleman stood up and left the interview site accompanied by his personal butler, with no intention of continuing to interview other people.
Song Ci and Du Junfei stared at each other. Song Ci, worried she might have misunderstood, quickly asked Du Junfei, "Second Master, has Coleman chosen me?"
Du Junfei didn't say anything. He took a cigarette and started smoking in front of Song Ci.
After taking a puff, Du Junfei suddenly cursed: "Damn, what kind of shitty luck do you have!"
Song Ci felt puzzled, "What's wrong?"
Du Junfei said, "Originally, you were interviewing for the role of Coleman's junior sister today, but Rain..." Du Junfei held a cigarette in his hand, looking through the curling smoke at Song Ci. He said, "She is Coleman's first love and the true heroine of this movie."
Song Ci was shocked. She clearly remembered that there was no female lead in the movie "Music Maniac"!
Du Junfei shook his head, lamenting Song Ci's luck, a sign of European ecstasy. "We've been preparing for 'Music Maniac' for a year, but we couldn't find an actress who matched Coleman's vision for Rain. After much discussion, we unanimously decided to cut all scenes with her. Rain only appeared briefly in Coleman's life for a year, and her role wasn't substantial."
"Because of you, Le Chi has a heroine."
Du Junfei tilted his head, biting a cigarette in his mouth, and spread his hands towards Song Ci, congratulating her with a smile: "Congratulations, Song Ci, you have been an apprentice to Shen Yubei for a lifetime, and finally it is your turn to be my heroine."
