Chapter 470 Let’s make peace, okay?

This was the first time Li Li heard about this, and he couldn't help but ask, "When did this happen?"

Su Beibei didn't say anything.

Auntie said, "It happened last year. On the day you came back from your business trip, the old lady asked you to go over and keep her company. Madam knew that the old lady disliked her and was afraid that you would be embarrassed, so she didn't tell you."

Li Li's heart tightened and he felt a pang of pain. He asked again, "Then why didn't you tell me about Neil's seafood allergy?"

Su Beibei laughed and told him, "I told you, Li Li." She raised her head, stared at Li Li, and said, "During the summer vacation, your uncle's son got married, and you went to the wedding and took Neil with you. I was worried about the seafood at the wedding banquet, so I mentioned it to you once."

But you forgot.

Su Beibei didn't say the last four words because she saw that Li Li seemed to be about to cry.

Su Beibei lowered her head and picked up some more food for Li Ao, urging him: "Neil, eat quickly. After you finish eating, let's go out and play."

"good."

The meal became more and more silent. After the meal, Li Li made an excuse to go to the bathroom.

Entering the bathroom, he took some cold water and washed his face.

After washing his face, Li Li leaned on the sink with both hands, staring at the handsome man in the mirror who looked like an elite boss, and cursed in a low voice: "Li Li, you are a beast!"

He stayed in the bathroom for a while, waiting for his emotions to calm down before walking out. The weather was nice today, and Su Beibei was going to take Li Ao to a farm in the countryside, where they could pick strawberries and dragon fruit.

Li Ao very skillfully packed water cups, tissues and other things into his small schoolbag.

On the way to the farm, Li Ao was very excited and chattered to Su Beibei and Li Ao, "Le Le from the early childhood education class said that his dad took him to the farm and picked a dragon fruit as big as a basketball!"

Su Beibei said, "You're kidding, dragon fruits aren't that big."

Li Ao added, "That's the size of a rugby ball."

Su Beibei did not expose Li Ao's arrogance.

When they arrived at the farm stay, Li Ao, accompanied by his parents, went into the greenhouse. The three of them picked several baskets of strawberries and seven or eight large red-fleshed dragon fruits.

In the evening, they had dinner at a farm house before returning home. On the way back, Li Ao hugged a dragon fruit and fell asleep quickly.

Arriving downstairs of her house, Su Beibei parked the car and prepared to pick up Li Ao. Seeing Li Li holding Li Ao in his arms, she stopped and turned to walk back to her residence.

Li Li carried Li Ao back to the room in one breath. He took off Li Ao's shoes and clothes and covered him with a blanket. When he was about to get up, he heard Li Ao talking in his sleep: "Grandma, don't hit Mom..."

Li Li froze.

He gently patted the child's shoulder and told him, "Neil, the nanny won't hit your mother anymore."

Li Ao fell into a dream and could not hear Li Li's words at all. He moved uneasily and muttered again: "Mom, Neil protects you, Neil loves you."

Li Li couldn't bear to listen any longer and quickly walked out of the children's room.

Su Beibei had been packing her luggage for the past two days. When Li Li came out of the children's room, she was organizing Li Ao's most important toys in the living room.

Li Li walked to Su Beibei and squatted down, helping Su Beibei put the toys into the box. Su Beibei paused for a moment and then continued.

After packing up, Su Beibei checked the time and reminded Li Li: "It's 9:40, Li Li, you should go back."

Li Li said, "Can I stay here tonight? You're leaving tomorrow morning, and I'll go see you off."

Su Beibei hesitated for a long time before saying, "You sleep with Neil."

"good."

Su Beibei is going to take a shower.

When she came out of the shower, she found the lights in the living room were still on. Thinking that Li Li was sleeping on the sofa, she opened the door and walked out, only to see Li Li sitting on the sofa looking through their family photos.

Su Beibei stood behind the sofa, watching the scene silently without making any noise to interrupt.

Li Li knew Su Beibei was behind him. He stroked a photo taken at their wedding and asked cautiously, "Beibei, let's make peace, okay?"

Su Beibei admitted that she softened her heart for a moment, but quickly regained her composure. She said, "It's getting late, Li Li, go to bed early."

Su Beibei returned to her room.

When she was about to fall asleep, she heard Li Li knocking on the door outside.

"Beibei, I know you haven't slept yet."

Su Beibei said nothing.

Li Li licked his lips and said, "I admit that I was a bastard before. I wronged you and ignored you. I am not a qualified husband and father. But I am willing to change. No one will trouble us anymore. I swear, I will never let you and your mother suffer again."

"Beibei, let's make peace, okay?"

"I love you, I've always loved you. These past few months, I've been distracted at work. After work, I don't even dare go home. I'm afraid to return to that cold and unfamiliar home and not hear the voices of my wife and children. I won't be able to bear it."

"Beibei, Neil had a lot of fun today and we got along very well. Beibei, please give me another chance. Let's go out often in the future, just like today, and let Neil grow up in a loving family, okay?"

Li Li's apology and his strong desire to remarry and to be good to Su Beibei and her son are all real.

When Su Beibei heard Li Li's words, her tears soaked her pillow. She held her phone and cried for a long time before opening WeChat and sending a message to Li Li.

Su Beibei: [Give me some time to think about it.] What moved Su Beibei was not Li Li's words, but Li Ao's happy smile today.

Li Li saw her reply and his eyes suddenly brightened. "Okay, I'll give you some time!"

The next day, we went to the airport in the car that Li left in.

My aunt's English is not very good. Sitting in the car, she said, "I am worried that my English is not good enough and I won't be able to speak it in Los Angeles."

Su Beibei smiled and said, "It's okay. I've signed you up for a crash course in English."

Only then did the aunt feel relieved.

When they arrived at the airport, Li Ao and Li Li hugged each other and talked for a long time. Only when he heard the announcement reminding him that it was time to register did he let go of Li Ao.

Su Beibei led Li Ao towards the boarding gate. Li Li saw that Su Beibei didn't even turn around, so he shouted, "Beibei, I'm waiting for your answer!"

When the aunt heard this, she couldn't help laughing.

Su Beibei curled her lips, looked back at Li Li, and waved, "Let's go."

Li Li was overjoyed when he saw Su Beibei finally turned around and looked at him.

She still loves me.

She is willing to go back again for herself!
