Considering the long journey, Su Beibei booked two first-class tickets and one economy-class ticket. Her aunt sat in economy class, while Li Ao and Su Beibei sat in first class.
The seats were spacious and the cabin was quiet. After Li Ao boarded the plane, he watched a cartoon for a while and then fell asleep. When he woke up, the plane was still in the air.
Li Ao put on clean socks and stood on the seat to look out the window at the clouds. Seeing the large white clouds outside, Li Ao's mood finally improved. Li Ao asked Su Beibei: "Mom, will we fall?"

Su Beibei found a part-time undergraduate student to teach Li Ao English. The student was of mixed race and spoke both English and Chinese fluently.
After arranging all the chores in her life, Su Beibei went to school to register. It was three o'clock in the afternoon when she came back from school. Su Beibei was sitting on the steps in front of her house with a bag of cheese sticks and called Noland.
Finding the call was from an unfamiliar number in Los Angeles, Noland answered the phone and asked in a cold tone, "Hello?"
Su Beibei took a bite of the cheese stick before asking, "Kid, what are you doing?"
