With his goal achieved, He Xingjue's smile became even brighter.
There was a dining table in the living room. He Xingjue set out the food and poured two glasses of wine before knocking on the bedroom door. "Li Ze, come out and have something to eat."
There was no response from inside the room.
“If you don’t come out, I’ll open the door and come in.” He Xingjue turned the doorknob.
The next second, a rustling sound came from the room. Then, the door opened, and Li Ze, expressionless, shoved He Xingjue aside with his shoulder and walked towards the dining room.
The food on the table looked and smelled delicious, and Li Ze's mouth watered instantly. Without any hesitation, he sat down and began to eat without waiting for He Xingjue.
When He Xingjue saw him start eating, his eyes crinkled into a smile. He then moved a chair and sat down next to Li Ze, diligently serving him food.
“Eat your own food, or go out. Choose one,” Li Ze said in a deep voice.
He Xingjue paused, obediently ate his food, and didn't say a word.
It wasn't until Li Ze picked up the wine glass that he explained, "It's a low-alcohol fruit wine, a little bit won't hurt."
Li Ze took a small sip and found it quite good. He drank a few more sips and finished the cup, still feeling unsatisfied.
