Chapter 13 Indifference

The space pirates did not confiscate Li Ze's and the two kidnappers' personal computers. In the past two days, Li Ze has not received any messages of concern or greetings, nor has anyone sent him video calls.

Because no one knows his contact number.

Or perhaps, everyone assumes that the first thing he was done after being captured by space pirates was to have his personal computer taken away, cutting off his contact with the outside world.

On the contrary, the two space pirates, after learning that the quantum computer could still be used, contacted their relatives and friends, and even their lawyers, to make arrangements for their affairs after death.

Li Ze watched coldly as the two kidnappers tearfully bid farewell to their loved ones, a hint of doubt flashing across his handsome face.

Is this what human affection is?

What a hassle!

Li Ze didn't take it seriously and closed his eyes again.

Just then, the space pirates pushed open the door and came in.

"Hey, you're awake. Looks like we've come at just the right time," the space pirate said nonchalantly.

Li Ze looked at them calmly. He noticed that although he had just absorbed the evil energy around these space pirates two days ago, many more had gathered around them now.

In places unseen by the naked eye, this malevolent energy entered Li Ze's body with every breath, nourishing his broken body.

"Is something the matter?" Li Ze asked.

“Of course,” the space pirate said, giving his companion a wink. The companion understood and quietly activated the recording function on the personal computer.

The two kidnappers, who were saying goodbye to their loved ones, stopped crying, ended the communication, and, seeing that the space pirates hadn't noticed them, quietly hid in a corner.

"Let me play you a voice message." The space pirate looked on with amusement, his eyes filled with pity.

Li Ze didn't know why the space pirates pitied him, nor was he interested in the voices they were speaking; they were all unfamiliar voices and they were talking about things that were unfamiliar to him.

What does this have to do with him!

Li Ze yawned, looking rather uninterested, which puzzled the space pirates, who couldn't help but ask him, "Don't you have any ideas at all?"

Li Ze was puzzled. "What should I think?"

Space Pirate: "...Your husband said that no matter what conditions we offer him in exchange for you, he won't agree. Aren't you sad or upset after hearing that?"

husband?

Li Ze belatedly realized that the "husband" the space pirate mentioned referred to this body's legal partner. "Did you hear his voice just now?"

The two space pirates: "..."

The two kidnappers: "......."

Could this be a fake Li Ze?

The space pirates arrived full of excitement but left disappointed. As they reached the door, they glanced back at Li Ze, their expression a complex mix of emotions.

The door closed, and the two kidnappers approached Li Ze. "Boss, you were just lying to them, weren't you? Are you feeling really upset right now? Don't overthink it. Commander He is in that position; he has no choice but to do many things. A lot of people are watching him—"

“I haven’t spoken to He Xingjue.” Li Ze interrupted the kidnappers, and under their incredulous gazes, he said calmly, “On our wedding day, we were both unconscious. When I woke up, he had already left for the Liuyan Star Region.”

The two kidnappers: "......."

Okay, they're overthinking it.

Once the recording was released on the StarNet, no one blamed He Xingjue after listening to it. In that position, he was destined not to be sentimental. It was just a pity for the kind-hearted Li Ze.

However, what they didn't know was that their "poor" people, unable to contain their eagerness, asked once again, "When can we reach the Death Starfield?"

The two kidnappers activated their location tracking: "At the warship's current speed, it will take another two days."

So Li Ze slept for two more days, and as soon as the two days were up, he immediately opened his eyes. The timing was so precise that it startled the two kidnappers.

"The warship has landed. Are you alright?" the kidnapper asked cautiously.

“Okay, very good.” Li Ze replied as he got out of bed and eagerly walked outside.

He could already smell the malevolent aura.

The two kidnappers exchanged a glance and hurriedly followed.

When Li Ze came out of the room, almost all the space pirates on the warship had left, with only a few remaining. These people glanced at Li Ze indifferently and then went back to their own business.

"Are they abandoning us?" The kidnappers didn't know whether to be happy or sad.

“They know we can’t escape anyway,” another kidnapper said.

Li Ze seemed not to hear the two kidnappers' conversation and walked forward with great interest, his pace quickening until the two kidnappers had to run to keep up.

Is this really someone who is about to die?

The two sentries almost couldn't keep up!

The kidnappers were highly suspicious of this.

The moment he stepped off the warship, Li Ze abruptly stopped. Although there was no wind, his hair and clothes fluttered without any breeze, and his fair and translucent skin glowed in the sunlight.

Just when the kidnappers thought they had witnessed the ultimate beauty of the boss, the boss once again overturned their perception.

How can someone be this good-looking!

Li Ze was like a gluttonous beast, accepting all kinds of malevolent energy without hesitation. In the blink of an eye, not a trace of malevolent energy remained within a radius of a hundred meters.

"Is it just my imagination? One second I felt the atmosphere around me was oppressive and heavy, but the next second it suddenly felt relaxed," the kidnapper asked in confusion.

The other kidnapper nodded. "It's not your imagination; I have the same feeling."

Li Ze glanced back at them, said nothing, and continued walking forward.

He went wherever the malevolent energy was strongest, and before he knew it, he had wandered far away. The two kidnappers wanted to persuade Li Ze, but seeing his hurried appearance, they hesitated several times before finally remaining silent.

"What's the boss doing?" one of the kidnappers whispered.

"I don't know. What I'm worried about now is that the Empire's Star Currency won't be usable here. If the space pirates don't take care of us, where will we stay, what will we eat, and what will we drink?"

"When I left the ward just now, I filled up all the nutrient solution in the cabinet. It'll last us for a few days." Their personal computers were still there, but the spatial control had been taken away.

Another kidnapper silently gave a thumbs up, "You were right to have foresight. We're almost in the city; we can use the nutrient solution to get a room at a hotel. We can sleep on the streets, but the boss is too weak for that."

At this moment, Li Ze, who had been walking quickly, suddenly stopped and turned around to look behind him.

"Boss, are you touched?" The kidnapper smiled sheepishly. "It's what we should do—"

"Get out of the way!" Li Ze shouted, and in the next second, he flashed to the side of the two kidnappers, grabbing one in each hand. The man who usually looked extremely thin and frail, as if he could be blown away by the wind, was now dragging the two big men back ten meters away.

bump!

A huge, black object fell from the sky and smashed a deep crater into the ground!

"What is this?" Li Ze asked, puzzled.

"This, this is a Void Beast!" The two kidnappers trembled, their bodies shaking like leaves.

If it weren't for the big shots, they would have been crushed into mincemeat by now.
