Song Xiu ate his breakfast slowly and deliberately, admiring Li Ze across from him as he ate. Watching the beautiful woman make him eat more, which improved his appetite.
Li Ze ignored his gaze and focused on eating the whole time.
What he liked most about this world was its food. The cooking methods were diverse, the ingredients were varied, and he never got tired of eating it.
After finishing his meal, Li Ze reluctantly put down his chopsticks. "Thank you for the treat. Okay, now you can get down to business."
"Kick He Xingjue out and come with me," Song Xiu said bluntly, his eyes fixed on Li Ze.
Li Ze frowned. "You want me to be your subordinate?"
"Hehe—" Song Xiu chuckled. "You're so cute. Do I look like I'm short of men?"
“You don’t lack subordinates. You don’t lack a bed warmer either,” Li Ze replied.
"I'm missing someone as beautiful as you." Song Xiu stood up, walked to Li Ze's side, and reached out to place his large hand on Li Ze's shoulder.
Li Ze touched the ground with his toes, and the chair slid backward.
"I have no interest in warming your bed." Li Ze got up and walked towards the door.
Before he could take two steps, a gust of wind swept from behind him.
He instinctively dodged and retreated. As he retreated, Song Xiu pressed forward. Li Ze's eyes narrowed, and the two began to fight.
Song Xiu is an SS-level Sentinel, and one who has been awakened for quite some time. In terms of both speed and strength, he is above that of a typical SS-level Sentinel.
This was the strongest enemy he had encountered since coming into this world.
Of course, He Xing doesn't count.
A rumbling sound came from the room, and even the floor shook.
"That intense?"
"Should we go in and help?"

He Xingjue's expression darkened, and before he could speak, the snow wolf emerged from his mental sea.
"Snow Wolf?" He Xingjue looked at the Snow Wolf in confusion. He hadn't summoned the Snow Wolf, so how did it come out?
The snow wolf glanced at He Xingjue, then ran off in one direction.
"Snow Wolf!" He Xingjue called out again, but the Snow Wolf ignored his call and continued running.
"What is Snow Wolf trying to do? Has he discovered something?"
"Whatever they find, let's follow them first, or we'll get lost."
With a loud bang, the heavy sofa was split in two by Li Ze's foot.
"You're amazing!" Song Xiu spat out a mouthful of blood, praising him sincerely.
"You're not bad either." Li Ze wasn't in a good position at the moment. This body's foundation was too weak. After only a few rounds of fighting, every part of his body ached. The pain made him break out in a cold sweat, and he suspected that this body was too sensitive to pain.
Pain was only one aspect; what worried him more was that his reactions were becoming sluggish.
He might be poisoned!
Which step went wrong?
Li Ze thought back carefully and realized that he had only eaten those foods, but Song Xiu had clearly eaten those foods as well.
"You poisoned me?" Li Ze questioned.
Song Xiu smiled, "You've got a reaction?"
Li Ze asked, puzzled, "What kind of reaction?"
"Oh, it seems this isn't the reaction I was expecting," Song Xiu said with a hint of regret. "But you'll find out soon enough."
"More than one kind of poison?" Li Ze knew nothing about the poisons in this world, but the fact that this poison could be kept in the dark meant that it was not simple.
"Smart." Song Xiu praised, "There are three kinds of poison in total. One is like a sleeping potion, another is an aphrodisiac, and both of these can be cured. As for the third one, that's really deadly. It's addictive."
With each new name Song Xiu mentioned, Li Ze's face grew increasingly grim, until finally, his gaze was almost murderous.
"Don't be afraid. As long as you stay with me and behave, I won't let you stop taking your medicine," Song Xiu said with a smile, sounding just like a wicked uncle coaxing a child.
Li Ze scoffed, "Even Ji Lin doesn't dare to tell me to obey, so who do you think you are?"
As soon as he finished speaking, Li Ze took out a dagger from his spatial storage and rushed forward.
This time, Li Ze was intent on killing, each move aimed at Song Xiu's vital points. Song Xiu hurriedly dodged, his heart filled with shock; his opponent hadn't even used his full strength!
Song Xiu dared not be careless and released his quantum beast, which was also a wolf, a gray one. It was slightly smaller than He Xingjue's, but extremely ferocious.

"Well done," Song Xiu praised, walking over to pat the gray wolf's head. "Alright, you can go back now."
