Chapter 10 Spirit Stone

Chu Yao naturally didn't know that someone on the ground was cursing and trying to block the lightning for him.

The sudden realization made Chu Yao excited. She felt that her state of mind seemed to have improved a lot. If her cultivation was still at the early stage of Nascent Soul, she should be able to take this opportunity to break through in one fell swoop.

Unfortunately, that kind of mysterious experience only lasts for a brief moment and is hard to come by.

As the new technique was put into practice, a wisp of scattered yin energy seemed to be attracted by a vortex in the body, immersed in the Dantian Qi Sea, and transformed into a trace of original spiritual power!

Chu Yao's eyes suddenly opened, and a moving look flashed across her pupils.

Done!

This spiritual power was extremely weak, appearing and disappearing in the dantian.

It was so faint, like a candle flame, that it seemed that a gust of wind could extinguish it.

But Chu Yao knew that she had succeeded. Without this spiritual power entering her body, everything she had done before would have been in vain.

Even though it's just a spark, it can eventually start a prairie fire!

Chu Yao tried this new technique again, and faint Yin Qi surged in from all directions. She estimated the efficiency, but it was much slower than her previous practice.

I don’t know if it’s because of the technique or the thin Yin energy here, but the speed is much slower than before.

Furthermore, the efficiency of Qi Refining was pitifully low. In the same amount of time as before, the spiritual energy converted was less than one percent of the previous amount.

At my current level, I can’t even use the simplest levitation spell.

Chu Yao sighed, knowing she couldn't rush things. Even if it was a little slow, it was better than no progress at all.

The advantage of this technique is that it combines the advantages of the Netherworld Technique and the Soul Preservation Technique, and the foundation is very solid after it is refined.

A tall building rises from the ground. Take it slow, but you have to eat one bite at a time.

What we need to do now is to bide our time and slowly accumulate spiritual power.

As long as I am given enough time, it is only a matter of time before I return to the top!

Chu Yao calmed down and was about to get up and stretch when she noticed a sneaky figure slowly approaching her.

She remained calm, wanting to see what this person was up to.

The man pretended to be digging, tiptoed closer, and then stretched his arm towards the sack next to Chu Yao.

Chu Yao raised his eyebrows, swung his right hand, blocked the sack while grabbing the opponent's wrist and clamping it tightly!

It's true that she's not good at physical skills, but she's not someone who can be bullied by just any mortal.

At the same time, he also saw the appearance of the person who came. He was thin, with pointed cheeks and messy hair. He looked like a monkey that had been hungry for many days.

Chu Yao suddenly attacked, and Shouhou was also frightened. He immediately wanted to retract his wrist, but he was not as strong as Chu Yao, and failed several times.

She channeled her tiny spiritual power into her right hand, gradually increasing her strength. The skinny monkey felt pain, and soon sweat broke out on his forehead.

"Ouch, it hurts...Miss, beauty, aunt, I was wrong, I was wrong, please let me go." The skinny monkey changed several names in a row and had already given in.

"With such little ability, you dare to do such sneaky things. Aren't you afraid of being beaten to death?" Chu Yao shook his arm and used a clever force. The skinny monkey staggered and fell to the ground, and a lot of messy things fell out of his clothes.

Everyone looked at her sideways, perhaps they didn't expect that this little girl had such a skill, and they looked at her with a different eye.

The guard in the distance just raised his head, and seeing that it was not a big deal, he ignored it. Perhaps he had seen this kind of thing many times.

Chu Yao glared at the skinny monkey fiercely, who frantically picked up the things he had dropped on the ground and put them under his clothes. She glanced around casually, but her eyes were firmly attracted by a small green stone.

She stood up and moved forward. Skinny Monkey thought he was going to be beaten again, so he quickly raised his arms to protect his face.

"Where did you get this stone from?" Chu Yao leaned closer and asked in a low voice.

"Don't hit me, don't hit me... Eh? Ah?" The skinny monkey took a while to react and lowered his voice, "You mean it? I exchanged it for a cigarette. It's at Old Man Mo's place."

"Do you know what this is?"

"I don't know, I just thought it looked good, hoping to exchange it for some money later." The skinny monkey had come to his senses, with a flattering smile on his face, looking a little wretched.

"Beautiful lady, if you want it, just take it. Consider it as apology for what happened just now."

Wow, that’s quite clever.

Chu Yao played with the crystal clear green stone without replying. The skinny monkey waited anxiously. After half a minute, she asked again:

"Why steal?"

This question is a bit stupid. The skinny monkey muttered to himself, but did not dare to show it on his face:

"Beautiful lady, I can tell you've practiced martial arts. This little bit of work won't be tiring for you. But with my body, I'm out of breath after just a few pickaxes. If I didn't... if I didn't have some skills, I would have starved to death long ago."

Chu Yao nodded, without asking any further questions, and put the green stone into her sleeve:

"Well, I won't take it from you for nothing. Take this piece of Yuanmu Stone." As he said that, he took out a piece from the sack and threw it into the skinny monkey's hand.

The skinny monkey was startled, and quickly took it over, his eyes widening:

"This, this is not possible." He refused with his mouth, but held it tightly in his hand.

What a joke! A piece of Yuanmu stone like this costs more than the price of a cigarette in the mine!

"Don't be too happy yet, I'm not giving it to you for nothing." Chu Yao said slowly.

"Since you've already seen that I'm a martial artist, to be honest, digging some rocks isn't a difficult task for me. However, I'm new here, and I'm not familiar with the mines yet..."

Shouhou understood the implication, that she wanted him to follow her.

The skinny monkey hesitated and hesitated in his heart, then heard Chu Yao's next words

"Don't worry, I'm not asking you to help me mine. Just help me gather information on a daily basis. If you do a good job, you'll naturally be rewarded. And...it's not like I can't teach you a few tricks."
