Chapter 4: Trapped Beast

"Let me go!"

"Hey, little boy, let go of my Taoist partner!" A male cultivator rushed over angrily, who seemed to be the partner of the female cultivator.

"Okay." The male cultivator had already rushed over, and the madman suddenly agreed readily, which stunned the two of them.

As a result, while she was still dazed, the madman had already pushed the female cultivator away. The female cultivator was temporarily overwhelmed and fell into the arms of the male cultivator, while the black mirror was already behind the male cultivator!

"Husband!!!"

"Stay alive and take good care of Qiu'er..."

The male cultivator knew that he was powerless to save the situation, so he pushed his partner away with a miserable smile, turned around to face the black mirror, and disappeared into the hall.

The female cultivator stretched out her hand to hug her beloved, but fell to the ground, with tears dripping from the corners of her eyes.

Everyone breathed a sigh of relief, but what had just happened was not over yet.

A gleam of light flashed in the eyes of the madman, and he immediately made his hand into a knife and swung it down fiercely at the back of the neck of the female cultivator lying on the ground!

Chu Yao heard a soft sigh in her ear, and then her eyes blurred, and the senior sister beside her actually moved!

Bai Yuejian flashed forward, clenched his fist, stepped forward to block, and knocked the madman's knife away.

The madman didn't expect anyone to intervene, so he took three steps back and stared at the person who came.

Seeing that the madman had gone far away, Bai Yue bent down and helped the female cultivator up. The latter also reacted, but was still in shock and kept thanking him.

"It's okay. Your husband has been kind to me, so there's no need to thank him." Bai Yuejian said lightly.

"Thank you, Immortal." The female cultivator recovered and was also a character. She suppressed her sadness and asked the madman in a stern voice:

"Who are you? Tell me your name!"

"Huang Long." The madman still had no expression on his face.

"Huang Long, the hatred for killing my husband is irreconcilable! Now I am no match for you. If I can walk out of this place alive, I will avenge this hatred!"

Bai Yuejian walked back to her original place, and Chu Yao didn't ask any more questions. The few words just now had already explained everything clearly.

However, the madman just now, although his behavior seemed rough and unruly, his secret calculations were indeed accurate: he used the woman to threaten the male cultivator and forced him to block the gun, and the final distance was calculated to the millimeter. If he made a mistake in the calculation, he would be the one falling under the black mirror.

He is really cruel and ruthless.

Having said that, how many people who can cultivate to the Nascent Soul stage are easy to deal with!

"Senior Sister Bai, you shouldn't get involved in this mess." Chen Muyao spoke in a dull voice.

"Just returning a favor."

Chen Muyao shook his head. "This is your private matter, so I can't say anything more. However, this madman might have enlightened others. It's best for us to stay away from the crowd."

Wake up? These people must have woken up a long time ago. It’s more like a trigger.

Chu Yao knew exactly what was going to happen next.

A few roars suddenly erupted from the crowd, and then chaos ensued, with the sounds of fighting and cursing lingering in the air.

"Old man Jia, how dare you sneak attack me!"

"You are so cruel! Don't you really care about the friendship between fellow disciples?"

"I've been disliking you for a long time. Just lie down and feed the mirror!"

A group of Yuanying cultivators now disregarded their reputation in order to save their lives. Those who knew martial arts used their fists and feet, while those who didn't pulled hair and bit each other's teeth, just like a group of village shrews fighting.

Every time one person falls, another person survives. We don't know how long they can survive, but at least for now, they won't lose their lives in vain.

This is human nature, and so is monks.

"Don't be alone!" Bai Yuejian shouted.

Chu Yao immediately moved closer to her senior sister without hesitation. Among the seventy-plus people, she was the only one she could trust.

Chen Muyao hesitated for a moment, then hurried over. Only old man Lu Hua remained where he was, and Bai Yuejian glanced at him, but didn't force anything.

In a blink of an eye, two people were beaten black and blue, barely breathing, and fainted in the middle of the hall. One of them was lying on his back, his chest still, having been beaten to death!

Chu Yao couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness in her heart.

After practicing Taoism for a hundred years, he ended up like this. It has to be said that fate is fickle and destiny is unpredictable.

Time passed in a flash, and the black mirror appeared twice, sucking the two people lying on the ground in. The time of its appearance this time was different from the previous two times, and there was no pattern to it.

Without the "sacrifice", the crowd began to stir again. But now everyone was on guard, and unless they were truly trustworthy, the other monks kept their distance from others.

Of the seventy-nine monks, six were killed, and now there are only seventy-three left!

The Black Mirror reappeared despairingly, this time more than half an hour later.

Chu Yao's heart tightened, and she suddenly had an ominous premonition. She saw the black mirror rapidly floating towards her...
