Li Tianyou's Extra: An education that only focuses on teaching quality but not on students' physical and mental health

The math teacher slammed the test paper to the ground and said, "You're still studying every day. You might as well not study at all."

Wen Yi picked up the test paper and after being criticized, she returned to her seat with her head down in depression.

When the teacher started to review the test papers, he suddenly said, "Wen Yi, come stand over there and listen. How can you check on your team members if you're a team leader with such a low score?"

Wen Yi was particularly concerned about the teacher's criticism. Her pride was so strong that she started crying while sitting in her seat. Now that she was asked to stand, she felt even more insulted. In the end, she stood in front of the class for the entire class.

After class, she slumped over her seat, not saying a word. The fourteen-year-old girl felt her self-esteem was deeply hurt. In the days that followed, Wen Yi became increasingly taciturn, until she finally uttered no words.

Li Tianyou was very dissatisfied with the teacher's behavior. He felt that Wen Yi was too pitiful. However, this was just one incident, and another happened the next day.

Li Tianyou's good friend Yu Mo took a leave of absence and didn't come for a long time. Later, Li Tianyou found out that Yu Mo was still doing his homework despite having a high fever. He studied until late at night and finally developed pneumonia and was admitted to the hospital.

During class, the teacher showed no concern for Yu Mo's illness. Instead, he said, "Yu Mo is such a good student. If he doesn't come, he'll fall behind, and our class average will be lower."

Because Yu Mo's illness was too serious, he was hospitalized for a long time. Later, his health was not very good. In the third year of junior high school, he studied hard at school and often caught colds and fevers, but what he was worried about was his grades and the high school entrance examination.

For Li Tianyou, who is relatively healthy both physically and mentally, Wen Yi and Yu Mo make him hate the current school system even more. They only focus on grades and don't care about students' health at all. This is really infuriating, but there is no way to express anger, because under such conditions, rules are dead, and people are more dead than rules.
