Chiu Chiu ate to her heart's content in the palace, and was now full of strength and spiritual power.
While the iron was hot, Chiu Chiu rode her pheasant to the General of the Cavalry's mansion again.
At this moment, General Li, the Grand General of the Cavalry, was drinking and making merry at his residence.
A group of beautiful dancers have just been presented to us. They are performing enchanting dances.
General Li was completely captivated by what he saw.
Just then, there was a loud knocking at the front door.
Chiu Chiu, who had just finished eating, knocked on the door much louder.
To test her spiritual power, Qiuqiu deliberately infused the knocking sound with spiritual energy, making it deafening and heard throughout the entire General's Mansion.
General Li was enjoying the dancers' performance when a series of piercing knocks on the door enraged him, and he slammed his fist on the table in anger.
"Who dares to be so audacious as to cause such a disturbance in my General's Mansion!"
A subordinate rushed in and said, "General, something terrible has happened! That little brat has come to our door!"
General Li: "That little kid?"
Subordinate: "That little chick, the one who came with the imperial edict, the special envoy appointed by the emperor, the one who made the Grand Secretary bleed money."
After hearing this, General Li stood up and said, "Oh? I'll go out and meet her right now! I don't believe a little kid like her can do anything to me!"
General Li's men followed him out to greet Qiuqiu.
General Li walked up to Qiuqiu and said, "Welcome, Special Envoy! I am having lunch now, why don't you join me?"
Chiu Chiu patted her bulging belly and said, "No, thank you."
General Li: "How about I pack some up and take them with me?"
Chiu Chiu rolled her eyes at General Li.
Do you really think I'm a beggar?
However, Chiu Chiu nodded nonetheless.
Qiuqiu held up the imperial edict and had someone read it aloud again. Then she closed the edict and said, "Donate!"
General Li gestured for them to proceed.
"Then please rest in the backyard for a moment, Your Excellency, and I will immediately have someone bring out the donation."
Chiu Chiu nodded in satisfaction and followed the servants to the backyard to rest.
Before long, General Li ordered someone to bring twenty taels of silver and stuff it into Qiuqiu's hand.
Is this an attempt to bribe me?
General Li: "This is my donation. I'm truly sorry, the General's Mansion is so poor we're almost starving. This is all the money we have left."
Chiu Chiu pouted and said, "I don't believe it!"
General Li: "Believe it or not! But this is all the silver I can offer!"
Chirp started running and ran all the way to General Li's bedroom.
General Li chased after him, shouting, "What are you doing? That's my bedroom!"
Jiujiu pushed open the door to General Li's bedroom.
The interior was decorated in a magnificent style.
Silks, jewels, and other valuables were displayed in the bedroom.
Normally, only designated people are allowed to enter General Li's bedroom.
Because he had a peculiar hobby: he liked to play with his various jewels.
Seeing those jewels filled me with a great sense of accomplishment.
I never expected that a little kid would barge in today.
Chiu Chiu pointed to the mountain of treasure and said to General Li, "Donate all of this!"
General Li: "Impossible!"
Chirp: "Donate!"
General Li firmly stated, "I will not donate!"
Chiu Chiu angrily walked to the other side of the bedroom and yanked down the curtain in front of her.
Behind the curtain are many precious calligraphy and paintings by famous people.
Any one of them would be priceless.
Chiu Chiu pointed to the calligraphy and paintings and said, "Donate these too!"
General Li: "You're dreaming! I didn't bother with you earlier, you little brat! If you push your luck any further, don't blame me for being impolite!"
General Li picked up Qiuqiu, intending to attack her.
Chirp: "Let me go, let me go!"
General Li: "You're courting death!"
General Li drew his sword.
Chirp whistled.
The door was suddenly kicked open.
