Chapter 15 Interview Rejection

Chapter 15 Interview Rejection

Jiang Ruan: "..."

Knowing her personality, Su Zhu revised the resume and sent it to her, saying, "Okay, I've revised it for you."

I downloaded Jiangruan and took a look.

The difference doesn't seem to be that big; it's just a different way of saying it?

"Your resume should look like a photo taken with the original camera; you need to learn how to use beauty filters and photo editing." Su Zhu knew her well and knew that she was a reliable person who wasn't good at talking.

In other words, they are the kind of people who just work hard and let their abilities speak for themselves.

However, the workplace is different from student life. It's not enough to just rely on grades. Compared to doing a good job, many leaders value your interpersonal skills more.

Even if your work is slightly subpar, you'll still get promoted if you're good at talking.

"Seriously, why don't you come work for me?" Su Zhu sincerely suggested, "Whichever you want to be—celebrity, model, or internet celebrity—I'll promote you. Aren't you a composer? I'll find a singer to collaborate with you; you write the lyrics, and she sings them."

"No, thank you." Jiang Ruan doesn't like being a public figure.

She dislikes being in the spotlight and doesn't want her private life to be scrutinized.

She just wanted to be an ordinary person.

"I told you not to do this job and I'd support you, but you definitely won't agree." Su Zhu knew she was stubborn, so she didn't try to persuade her anymore. "Then you should find a job first, and if you really can't find one, come find me."

Jiang Ruan said "okay".

After hanging up the phone, she resubmitted the resume that Su Zhu had revised for her. And sure enough, it worked! Before long, she received calls from several companies inviting her for interviews.

I don't know if my bad luck is over, but all my interviews went very smoothly.

I passed the first and second interviews very quickly.

But whether it was due to a lack of ability or something else, she was rejected by all the final interviews.

"I'm sorry, after comprehensive evaluation, your abilities are not sufficient to match the position, and you did not pass the final interview."

"Hello Ms. Jiang Ruan, it is with regret that we inform you that you did not pass our final interview."

"Hello, after careful consideration, your abilities do not quite match our needs..."

As if by prior arrangement, all the companies rejected her.

Jiang Ruan received one phone call after another, her expectations gradually dwindling. Everyone praised her during the second interview, and the final interview went very well, so why did it all end like this?

Buzzing.

Another call came in.

Jiang Ruan knew in her heart that this was probably another rejection. As soon as she answered the call, the other party said in very standard Mandarin, "Hello, Ms. Jiang."

"Did you fail the final interview?" Jiang Ruan asked directly.

The person on the other end paused for a moment, not expecting her to say that: "Yes."

"May I ask why I didn't pass?" Jiang Ruan was almost questioning her life after being rejected. "I remember that my interview scores were among the top in the first and second rounds."

"The alignment between business operations and job requirements is not good enough," the other party said.

“If the job fit wasn’t good enough, I would have been eliminated in the second round.” Jiang Ruan wanted an answer. “The feedback I received from all the final interviews today was that the job fit wasn’t good enough.”

Upon hearing this, the HR person, who was on the phone, looked at the message her boss had sent her and silently apologized to her in her heart.

Jiang Ruan desperately wanted an answer: "Are you still there?"

"This is the boss's idea," the HR representative said, not revealing further details. "I wish you find your ideal job."

He hung up immediately after saying that, showing no intention of continuing the conversation.

Just as Jiang Ruan was doubting her abilities, a text message from an unknown number caught her eye: "We've received a notice that you cannot start work. Think about whether you've offended anyone."
