Chapter 7 Reading More Is Right

Generally speaking, people are reluctant to spend money to buy candy for good children, because candy is so expensive. But if it is unused waste, people are more willing to give it.

The villagers came with things, including a lot of bottles, cardboard boxes, and even a radio.

Rodin discovered that no village should be underestimated.

She had traded away all her White Rabbit milk candies and various other things, and she couldn't even fit them all in a backpack. Fortunately, someone helped her tie up the paper boxes so she could carry them.

The children left with their candies, feeling very satisfied. The adults also exchanged their favorites.

"Girl, bring more needles and thread next time."

"Okay!" Luo Dantian agreed, and they made an appointment for the next meeting.

She tried to get up with the backpack on her back, but she couldn't get it up the first time because it was too heavy. She finally got it up the second time.

Is it sinking?

Of course it was extremely heavy, and it hurt her shoulders, but she was very happy because this one day was equivalent to half a month's worth of work.

She went straight to the town. The uncle watched her step by step, and hurried to help her get down as if she was about to fall.

"You kid, why don't you charge less? Do you value money over your life?"

The uncle glared at Rodin. What if something happened to this kid?

"It's okay, uncle. I know what I'm doing. I need to earn more money so that I can continue my studies." Rodin smiled indifferently.

She feels warm in her heart now. It's great that she can earn money by herself and is not the lazy good-for-nothing that others say she is.

"Why don't your parents let you study?"

The uncle took out the things and sorted them. There were really a lot of things. The kid didn't know how far he had carried them.

"No, they want me to get married because the bride price is too high. I don't want to. I want to continue my studies, so I have to earn my own money. Uncle, I believe that studying more will definitely change my future."

No more being sold, no more being beaten. No more being stupid!

"Well, it's right to read more. We live in a society ruled by law now. If you have any problems, you should turn to the government. That's right!"

The uncle didn't know what to say. This is the society we live in now. People think girls are useless and belong to other families once they get married. Many girls don't have time to study because of this.

But it will get better in the future, it will definitely get better!

The country will definitely not sit idly by.

"Yeah." Rodin nodded vigorously. It felt good to be recognized.

"It's fifteen dollars all together. A lot of the things you collected this time are very good. Look at this radio, it's very good."

The uncle pointed out those things to Rodin.

The capital was about eight dollars, and he earned seven dollars in one go. Rodin was very happy. It turned out that collecting waste was better.

"Thank you, uncle. I'll come back tomorrow. Do you have any old books? I'm looking for a set of pre-reading materials for the third year of junior high school."

Rodin still wanted to find someone from high school, but she also knew that she couldn't chew too much, so she had to take it slow. "Can you keep an eye on the high school students for me?"

"Okay, I'll keep an eye on it for you." The uncle agreed readily, mainly because he liked this girl.

Rodin hurried back and said he would buy tomorrow's things in the morning.

What if I go to see Luo Kang at night? That was because he didn’t know about it yesterday. But I still bought him some soda and spicy strips. I’ll give him some sweet treats so that he can continue working.

In the end, she bought four meat buns, two for her and two for Luo Kang. As she was walking back, she vaguely saw Xiao Li walking with another man? It didn't seem like he was her brother.
