Chapter Eighteen: How many of you dare bark at me like dogs?



One man and one horse, carefree and unrestrained.

Beside the tall horse was an old man carrying a basket.

It was obvious that the man had ridden out on horseback to protect the old man, blocking their path.

Upon closer inspection, the person was none other than Wei Qinglou.

He wore a gray-blue brocade robe, with prominent brow bones, deep-set eyes, and an arrogant expression as he looked at the group of young men in brocade robes opposite him.

"Who are you, daring to block our way? Are you tired of living?"

Wei Qinglou sneered, and in the next instant, he slightly raised his hand, and his long whip cut through the air, directly whipping the young man who had spoken off his horse.

He glanced around at the crowd before him and said with a sinister smile, "What audacity! Even your parents wouldn't dare speak to me like that. And who are you to dare bark at me like that?"

The group exchanged glances and were about to call for thugs, but they were just a bunch of rabble and were quickly subdued by Wei Qinglou's guards.

Wei Qinglou lowered his long whip, striking the leader's face directly, and said in a light tone: "If you can't see people next time, you might as well lose your eyes."

After he finished speaking, everyone seemed to finally realize that they had kicked a hornet's nest. They hurriedly got up and ran back, not even caring about their newly acquired BMWs, for fear that if they were a step or two slower, Wei Qinglou would whip them.

Zhu Jiayu lowered the carriage curtain, shook his head, and laughed, "Of all people to mess with, you had to provoke him."

Green Kite was slightly taken aback, thinking that she was being addressed, and quickly asked, "What are your orders, Miss?"

She shook her head, and as if possessed, she lifted the brocade curtain again to take another look at the dashing young man in fine clothes and riding a spirited horse.

Only then did he instruct Changsheng to set off from the city.
