Chapter 328 Digging a Hole

Stiff fingers reached downwards, frantically rummaging through something.

Two minutes later, the short zombie finally managed to pull something up.

A beautiful crystal core, held in the hand of the diminutive zombie, was dazzlingly bright under the sunlight.

The diminutive zombie stretched out its rotting fingers and barely managed to grab the heavy backpack behind it.

With his fingers twisting strangely, he struggled to take the backpack off his back and place it on the ground.

The rotting fingers unzipped the bag and put the crystal core they had just obtained into their backpack.

The crystal nuclei made a crisp sound as they interacted, causing Bai Yifan to flinch involuntarily.

It took the short zombie a long time to put the heavy backpack back on its back.

Bai Yifan had no time to laugh at the short zombie for being so stupid, having to go through all that trouble just to get a crystal core by taking his backpack off and putting it back on.

His eyes began to look around.

The roadsides, which should have been farmland, now look like newly reclaimed land, stretching as far as the eye can see.

The land was full of potholes and had been renovated.

Upon closer inspection, Bai Yifan noticed that there were also specks of black on the yellow soil.

The short zombie, with his backpack slung over his shoulder, picked up the shovel again.

This time, it's not about digging a hole, but filling it.

Fill in the deep pit that was just dug.

This time, however, there was a completely disfigured zombie at the bottom of the pit.

Bai Yifan covered his mouth, suddenly feeling nauseous.

Despite everything that had happened, including his parents cracking open the skulls of many zombies, Bai Yifan was still trembling slightly.

A zombie cracks open another zombie's head.

Bai Yifan suddenly pulled out the dagger strapped to his leg and casually dug downwards towards where he was sitting.

The soft soil was easily cut open like tofu by the sharp dagger.

The deeper you dig, the more black soil you see.

However, after digging around casually for a few dozen times, Bai Yifan unearthed a rotten finger.

What's buried underground is obvious.

Are all the zombies buried beneath this endless farmland?

No matter how Bai Yifan calculated it, he couldn't understand why the zombies that died yesterday shouldn't have taken up such a large area.
