Chapter 36 Amusement Park
The first math class in the afternoon is when students are most likely to feel sleepy.
Yan Sui supported her head and half leaned on the desk. The teacher's lecture in her ears was like a hypnosis, stimulating her again and again.
The boring formula kept jumping in her ears, but it never entered her head.
Looking at the formula on the table, Yan Sui couldn't help but recall the scene of last night.
It was also because Lin Jingyang brought up that topic at the dinner table yesterday. She didn't think anything of it at the time. But thinking about it later, she always felt that the look in Lin Jingyang's eyes when he brought up that topic at that time had a little more lingering.
"System, do you think it's possible that Lin Jingyang..." she suddenly said in her heart.
The system has been hidden in her body, sensing all her emotional fluctuations.
The moment she spoke, someone immediately jumped out: "Possibly what? Host."
Yan Sui wanted to express her guess, but she couldn't think of any opportunity.
"The host wants to ask if he has met Lin Jingyang before, right?"
As expected of a system residing in her body, it could understand what she meant without her having to say anything.
Yan Sui said in her heart: "So that's it?"
"I'm sorry, host," the system refused to answer, "I can't tell you the answer to this question."
"Why?" Yan Sui thought for a moment and then asked, "Insufficient authority?"
system:"......"
The system couldn't tell for a moment whether Yan Sui's words were unintentional or a genuine mockery, so it said in a harsh voice, "The answer to this question involves spoilers for the storyline. I'm sorry, I can't answer you, host."
Yan Sui: “…”
Yan Sui was silent for a moment before she said, "Doesn't your so-called terminal provide speech training for your system?"
"How is your answer different from confirming my previous question?"
system:"......"
She sighed softly: "So Lin Jingyang and I knew each other in the past."
system:"......"
It stopped talking, perhaps because it was shocked by Yan Sui's words just now.
Seeing that she couldn't get any answers from the system, Yan Sui stopped asking.
Recovering from her thoughts, Yan Sui noticed that the teacher at the podium had already started talking about the next page of the test paper, so she quickly turned the paper over.
Just as she was about to concentrate on the class, the person next to her suddenly poked her arm with the tip of a pen.
Yan Sui paused and slowly turned his gaze over.
"I see you haven't been paying much attention in class today. Don't you understand? Do you want to go to the library after fourth period? I'll explain the questions to you." After saying this, as if worried that she might have some concerns, Yu Shuli added, "Don't be embarrassed. I'm free."
Ever since Yu Shuli moved to her side during the shift change, Yan Sui found that he was more annoying than before.
He turned a deaf ear to her previous warnings, as if she would accept him sooner or later.
The corner of Yan Sui's eye twitched fiercely, and he looked away and said lightly: "I have something to do."
"So what about tonight? We're going to the studio to rehearse today, and then we're going to compete tomorrow. Do you want to come to the studio and watch us rehearse?"
"I have to stay in the classroom to memorize the lessons during evening study. Sorry."
Yu Shuli looked distressed, biting his lips, frowning slightly, and no one knew what he was thinking.
Yan Sui didn't respond and her eyes fell back on the paper.
The person next to her fell silent, his enthusiasm seemingly repelled by her rejection.
Yan Sui thought, this is fine.
I won't bother him anymore, and she won't have to find excuses.
He is someone you cannot get close to.
Yan Sui figured this out, and the depression in her heart was slightly relieved. When she picked up her pen and was about to listen to the class, the person next to her suddenly said -
"What about the weekend? I heard there are a lot of new fish fry in the fish pond on Beiming Mountain. Do you want to go feed the fish together?"
Yan Sui's breathing stagnated, and the hand holding the pen couldn't help but tighten.
Here he is again, he has predicted his own events.
Going to Beiming Mountain to feed the fish is the only hobby Yan Sui has left from her previous life.
This was a special hobby she suddenly developed after what happened to Yan Zhaoting.
She didn't know if it was because the burden of the family was so heavy on her that she rarely had time to breathe.
One weekend, because Sister Wen Qingman’s cosmetics store was being renovated, Sister Wen Qingman gave the part-time employees a day off.
When Yu Shuli learned about this, he immediately decided to come and spend the weekend with her.
Yan Sui wanted to refuse, but Yu Shuli said, "You've been busy with family matters all this time and haven't had a rest. Don't think about that today. Spend the day with me! We can find a place to sit and chat."
These words touched Yan Sui's heart.
She was very tired. Although she had stood up and held on despite the family setbacks, the contrast between before and after was too great. After the incident, she didn't even have time to breathe before she had to take on her responsibilities.
She also wanted to take a break.
So, Yan Sui accepted Yu Shuli's invitation and climbed Beiming Mountain with him.
Beiming Mountain is a low mountain nestled in the city. Compared to other mountains, it's so tall and massive that it takes an hour or so to climb to the top. It's more like a park where people go for a stroll after dinner; it only takes twenty minutes to get from the foot of the mountain to the top.
Entering the gate of Beiming Mountain, there are two roads leading to the top of the mountain.
One is a viewing path near the church, planted with flowers.
The other path runs alongside an old residential complex and is known as Sushan's Little Paradise, filled with a variety of recreational facilities. Passing through this children's playground leads all the way to the top of the mountain.
There aren't many flowers on the viewing path this season, and people's physical strength declines in winter. Hiking in the cold winter is a test for yourself with every step.
Yan Sui was so tired from walking from the bus stop to the gate of Beiming Mountain that he was gasping for breath and his heart was pounding.
Seeing the white breath coming out of her breath, Yu Shuli couldn't help but tease her: "It's only such a short distance, how come you are so tired? We haven't even started climbing yet."
Yan Sui waved his hand to indicate that he was fine.
Yu Shuli stared at her for a long time, said "Wait a moment", and then ran towards the residential building.
Yan Sui stood there for a while before Yu Shuli came back.
When he came back, he had a bag in his hand.
Yu Shuli took out a bottle of electrolyte water, unscrewed the cap and handed it to her: "Would you like to drink some first to moisten your throat?"
Yan Sui laughed: "You're making it look so formal!"
She was a little thirsty, so she didn't refuse and took the water bottle and took a sip.
Considering they still had to climb the mountain soon, Yan Sui didn't drink too much. After moistening her throat, she screwed the cap back on. After adjusting her breathing, she tilted her head and said, "Let's go!"
The children's playground is filled with children's laughter on weekends. Even though it is winter and the cold air outside makes people's body functions begin to deteriorate, it does not stop the children from coming to the playground to play.
Yan Sui and the others walked along the main road up the mountain. The facilities in the children's playground were no longer attractive to them, as they were half-grown adults. The only thing that interested Yu Shuli a little was the shooting game next to them.
Seeing the excitement in Yu Shuli's eyes, Yan Sui followed his gaze and looked over: "Do you want to play this?"
Yu Shuli was a little embarrassed: "No, I just remembered that the last time I shot a gun was when I was in elementary school. My mother came to pick me up from my brother's house and took me to the night market in the south city.
"But she had other friends at the night market, and after a while she thought I was walking too slowly, so she dropped me off at a gun stall, gave me some money, and told me to shoot there while she waited for me to pick me up later.
"But the gun stall at the night market didn't have as many gifts as this one. I looked for a long time and finally fell in love with a car. I spent all the money my mom gave me, but still couldn't get the car, hahaha."
Yu Shuli turned his head to the side, his eyes curved with a smile: "Are you stupid?"
This was just an interesting story in a child's childhood. Hearing Yu Shuli belittling himself, Yan Sui immediately grasped the meaning of his words.
A child who had been waiting for his mother to take him out to play for a long time was left at a mobile stall to play shooting games all night because he was in the way.
Yan Sui looked at Yu Shuli with a look of discomfort in her eyes. "It's not your fault, actually. This gun is designed so that the bullets fired will deviate to a certain extent. And some of the balloons hanging on the wall are thicker. It's difficult to pop them with these plastic BB bullets."
"I see. When I was little, I didn't understand these things. I was even saying, 'I aimed at the balloon, why didn't the bullet hit it?' I asked the old man at the stall if there was something wrong with his gun. He glared at me and said, 'I'm just a little brat, am I messing up his business?'" Yu Shuli couldn't help laughing. "I was so scared that I ran away immediately. Later, I just squatted at the stall next to me and waited for my mom."
After she finished speaking, Yan Sui suddenly looked up and asked him, "Do you want to go and have a fight?"
.
The two of them arrived at the gun game stall, which was divided into an area with several other rides. There was only one employee supervising the area. He was currently directing children to draw at another stall.
Seeing Yan Sui and the others standing in front of the gun, he stood up and greeted them: "Do you two little classmates want to play shooting? Ten yuan each, thirty bullets!"
The gifts displayed in front of these stalls are no longer attractive to children of their age.
Yan Sui looked at it for a long time and felt that a Hello Kitty doll was barely enough.
But its sloppy lines and workmanship clearly indicate it is not authentic.
Yu Shuli saw that her eyes were fixed on the doll for a long time, and asked her if she wanted it.
Yan Sui shook her head: "I just felt that she was a little out of tune with the other toys, so I took a second look at her."
Hearing this, Yu Shuli nodded slightly.
After paying, the clerk loaded Yu Shuli's gun and said, "As long as you pop ten balloons, you can choose a gift from the gifts over there and take it away. Come on, little classmate."
Yu Shuli handed the loaded gun to Yan Sui: "Try it?"
Yan Sui waved her hand to refuse: "I brought you here to play, just come."
Understanding Yan Sui's meaning, Yu Shuli no longer refused.
He held the gun seriously and aimed at the balloon opposite.
Then one, two, three...
Yu Shuli hit it more than ten times, but only knocked down one balloon.
Yan Sui reminded from the side: "The bullet was a little off target. It was slightly off target when you shot it."
"I feel like my aim isn't very good today, you come and try it!"
Yu Shuli forcibly stuffed the gun into Yan Sui's hand: "Yan Sui, I never won when I was a child. When you grow up, you help me win once."
"I'm giving you my chance for revenge."
Yan Sui couldn't help laughing: "Why do you trust me so much?"
"I definitely believe in you, come on!"
Under Yu Shuli's "pressure", Yan Sui slowly raised her gun and aimed at the balloon on the wall.
After trying to fire three shots, combined with what she had just observed when Yu Shuli was shooting, she discovered that the bullets of this gun had a pattern, two to the left, one to the right, and one in the middle.
After learning this rule, I can easily pop the balloon by just aiming my gun at the dimension of the white board next to it.
The next second——
“Pah.”
