Chapter 9: Miraculous

Soon, the two became friends.

Qin Can transferred ten thousand yuan to Li Shu without saying a word.

"By the way, Master, what's going on with me? Why do I keep having the same dream over and over again?"

Li Shu put away her phone slowly, looking in a good mood. She looked up at him and said, "Someone has left something unclean in your bedroom. Just go back and find it and burn it."

Qin Can's pupils suddenly shrank, and his voice was a little dry, "Master, are you saying that someone wants to harm me?"

Li Shu hummed calmly, "But don't worry, just do as I say."

"I'm leaving now. Contact me if you have anything."

After saying that, he called Chen Bin and left.

Qin Can didn't look away until the two men disappeared from his sight. He collected his thoughts and turned to look at the fortune-teller who had been beaten black and blue. "By the way, quickly spit out the 100,000 yuan."

"Yes, yes, Mr. Qin." The fortune-telling stall owner was scared after being beaten, and didn't dare to say anything more. He quickly returned the money to him.

Qin Can glanced at the payment notice, snorted coldly, warned the fortune-telling stall owner a few words, and then called his bodyguard to leave the ancient street.

On the other side, Butler Ji was driving towards the Ji Group.

It was almost nine o'clock when we arrived at the Jiangyang Bridge section.

Butler Ji looked at the overpass in front of him, and suddenly his mind flashed back to what Li Shu had said to him yesterday.

But looking at the normal traffic flow, I didn't notice anything unusual.

"Butler Ji."

Steward Ji collected himself, glanced at Ji Heng in the back seat through the rearview mirror, and said, "Master, what are your instructions?"

Ji Heng raised his chin slightly and said, "As for Li Shu's adoptive father, when you return later, find him and give him some money. Ask him to completely cut off all ties with Li Shu and never have any contact with her again."

Butler Ji nodded, "Yes."

Just as he finished speaking, a large truck driving in the opposite direction suddenly jumped out from the end of the overpass in front and crashed into the white car in front at a very fast speed.

Steward Ji was only four cars away from the car where the accident occurred, but he was not spared from rear-ending the car in front of him. At the same time, the car he was in was hit by the car following closely behind with a "bang", and he was hit from the front and back at the same time.

Although the airbag was deployed, the impact was too severe and the front windshield was shattered. The impact fragments brushed across his face, leaving several wounds of varying depths.

As for Ji Heng in the back seat, his head hit the front seat due to the huge inertia, but fortunately he was wearing a seat belt, so nothing serious happened.

But a big bump suddenly appeared on my forehead, which looked a bit funny.

Steward Ji endured the pain and turned to look at Ji Heng in the back seat, "Master, are you okay?"

Ji Heng shook his head, which was a little dizzy from the collision, and remained calm. "It's okay, get off the car first."

Butler Ji didn't dare to delay any longer. He unbuckled his seat belt with trembling fingers and got out of the car. The moment his feet touched the ground, his legs almost gave out and he fell to the ground.

He followed Ji Heng to a safe area in a daze, with only the words "bloody disaster" echoing in his mind. He muttered to himself, "It's actually true..."

Ji Heng touched his red and swollen forehead and grimaced in pain, "What's really going on?"

Steward Ji came back to his senses, his eyes brightening a bit, and he said excitedly, "Master, the Second Miss is truly amazing. Yesterday she told me not to go along the Jiangyang Bridge at nine o'clock today, saying there would be a bloody disaster. I didn't expect it to work!"

Ji Heng frowned, "You believe the nonsense of a child, it's just a coincidence."

After hearing what he said, Butler Ji calmed down a lot, but he didn't think that this was just a coincidence. He planned to ask Li Shu about it after he returned.

After Li Shu and Chen Bin parted ways, they went straight back to Ji's house.

"Where have you been?" Ye Lan looked at the girl coming in from outside and called her.

Li Shu paused, raised her eyelids and looked at her. There was not much emotion on her delicate face, and her tone was casual, "It has nothing to do with you."

Ye Lan stood up and walked towards her, looking down at the cheap black plastic bag in her hand. It was a big bag full of things, and no one knew what was inside.

I became more and more certain that she must have returned to the slums, otherwise where would she have brought the things in her hands back from.

"Have you gone to see your adoptive father?"

Li Shu frowned. Although she was curious about why she thought so, she didn't respond. She walked around her and went towards the elevator.

Seeing her indifferent attitude, Ye Lan was furious and raised her voice, "Li Shu, can't you hear me when I'm talking to you?"

However, the only response she got was the girl's cold back.

Ye Lan's face darkened to the extreme. Just as he was about to raise his foot to catch up, Ji Heng's voice came from behind him, "What are you doing standing here?"

Ye Lan turned around after hearing this, with a look of surprise on her face, "Didn't you go to the company? Why are you back?"

Ji Heng walked to the sofa and sat down, pinching his eyebrows, "There was a car accident on the road."

"Car accident?!"

Ye Lan walked over to sit beside him, and then noticed his slightly red and swollen forehead. She reached out and touched it gently, "Hey, are you okay?"

"It's okay, just a bump."

Ye Lan glanced towards the door, "Where's Steward Ji?"

Ji Heng loosened his tie and leaned back on the sofa. "He had a minor injury. Let him go to the hospital for treatment."

He paused, then suddenly thought of something and said, "By the way, is Li Shu back?"

Ye Lan gathered her shawl and said unhappily, "She just came back before you. Yaya was right. She really went to look for her adoptive father and brought back a huge bag of who knows what."

"Have you told her what I told her to do?" Ji Heng asked.

Ye Lan shook her head. "No, she doesn't listen to me at all."

Ji Heng took the tea that Aunt Zhang brought over, took a sip, and ordered, "Go up and invite the young lady down."

"Master, the eldest lady just went out not long ago." said Aunt Zhang.

Ji Heng paused while drinking his tea and turned his head to look at Ye Lan beside him. "Didn't you say Li Shu just came back?"

"Auntie Zhang is talking about Qianya." Ye Lan's expression was a little embarrassed, and she said awkwardly, "Auntie Zhang, go up and ask the second young lady to come down."

Aunt Zhang nodded, "Yes, ma'am."

Ji Heng just frowned when he heard this, but didn't say much about the title.

Soon, Aunt Zhang came back, but she was alone when she left and she was alone when she came back, and there was no figure of Li Shu following her.

"Where is Li Shu?" Ye Lan asked.

"Master, Madam, the second young lady said...said..." Aunt Zhang hesitated to speak.

Ji Heng seemed to have lost his patience. He looked at her sharply and asked in a deep voice, "What did you say?"

Aunt Zhang quickly lowered her head and said, "Second Miss said she was sleepy. We can talk about anything after she wakes up."
