Chapter 11 Upgrade and Expansion

Although I was excited and thrilled for a couple of days at first, once the euphoria wore off, I started to feel frustrated!

"Let's plant a bed first. Although we can't use it outside, we can lie down comfortably here. It's not bad to decorate this little system space!"

I'll plant tatami mats!

Imagine, imagine, let my imagination run wild—

Ah... it has to be a tatami mat with a bookshelf attached to it.

I'll plant another desk, the kind with a desk and chair set.

Let's plant two more green plants, spider plants and pothos.

I'll plant another game console to kill time.

Uh... I still need two more things today. What should I plant next?

How about buying some face masks and moisturizer? This face is so sallow; skincare needs to start from childhood.

After muttering to himself as he executed a series of incredibly skillful maneuvers, Anle stared at the suddenly appearing expansion notification and rubbed his eyes.

"Huh? Did I see that right? So fast? We can expand now? Hey, if we expand, we can upgrade, right? Does that mean we can grow a lot more things?"

Anle's initial joy at the harvest, which had just subsided, was suddenly agitated again, and she excitedly began to expand—

The farmland was expanded from seven plots to fourteen plots, but each plot could only be planted with one thing per day.

"Wow, suddenly we can expand by seven more fields! It feels like we've struck gold! I guess I still can't resist the temptation of material things."

"Let's use these seven newly built plots of land to grow some other fruits, oh, and food. It feels like the food I planted a few days ago still tastes the same and hasn't spoiled at all. It seems that this system space has a preservation function, both in appearance and taste!"

"Plant a cherry tree, a kumquat tree, and also durian, mango, oranges, instant noodles, and sponge cake, all done!"

Next time, I'll plant some strawberries, lychees, dragon fruit, mangosteens, pineapples, cantaloupes, watermelons, grapes, and the like.

She'll take it slow; she'll grow all the food she could enjoy in her past life here.

Turn it into a huge green estate!

Uh... why did she end up with such a precious piece of land? All she could think about was growing food?

Could it be that they were poisoned by those wild vegetable pancakes?

Yes, that must be it, she's not a foodie!

Once the fruit trees are almost planted, she needs to plant a few pairs of shorts for herself. These coarse cloth, four-cornered floral shorts just don't feel comfortable to wear!

When the family returned home in the evening, they were stunned to see the stove and kitchen empty.

Anjing gave a quiet smile and patted Anle's head.

"Didn't my little sister break her head? She probably forgot about heating up the food. I'll add some fuel to the fire, heat up the vegetable pancakes, and make some porridge." As she spoke, she busied herself around the stove.

An Ning snapped out of her daze and said, "I'll go get some firewood."

Qiao Qiuniang's eyes reddened, and she looked like she was about to wipe away tears again.

An Ding sighed, "Little sister, go back to the east room and rest. The pot will be ready soon."

Anle scratched her head. "What's wrong? Does this mean I have to take over the cooking too?"

Well... that makes sense. She's the only one in the family who's idle at home. If she doesn't cook, who will?

The whole family came back from working in the mountains. They were exhausted after a long day and deserved a rest!

But she didn't know how to use the stove; she had never used such an earthen stove before.

If you really let her cook at home, she'd probably set the whole house on fire!

Anle awkwardly returned to the east room; she really didn't fit in with this family.

Just as I was sighing, a deep, resonant voice came from the courtyard—

"Mancang, I ran into your older sister in town today. She asked me to tell you to go to town tomorrow and bring your parents back."

"Hey, Uncle Xu, I've got it."

"I heard that your son fell from a tree in the mountains a few days ago and hit his head. Is he alright?"

An Mancang put down his firewood in the courtyard and greeted him with a smile.

"It's nothing, I just don't remember much about the past, but I'm still very lively."

Upon hearing this, Xu Suozhu's old face paused, and he gave a meaningful look.

"You don't remember anything? How about we take you to town to have a look tomorrow?"

"No need, it's alright. I got a lot of herbs from the old lame uncle and gave them to her to drink."

Although An Mancang said he was fine, he was secretly wondering whether he should take him to the town to see a doctor.

Xu Suozhu's old face darkened, and he couldn't help but bring it up again.

"Sigh, how come this little girl is even more mischievous than a boy?"

Your son, Lewa, has never seemed like a well-behaved child since he was little. You'll have to keep a close eye on him from now on!

There was a man like that in that old Phoenix Village. He also fell and hit his head, lost his memory, and died within two years. Falling and hitting your head is no small matter. You might be fine at the time, but there could be problems later!

If they don't remember things, that's fine, but what if they're like that guy from Old Phoenix Village—"

Having said that, Xu Suozhu sighed and stopped, "Alright, I've delivered the message, I'll head back now."

"Hey, Uncle Xu, take care, I won't see you off!" With a smile, An Mancang watched the man leave, but his expression turned serious. He decided to go to town to pick up his parents tomorrow and take his little daughter to see a doctor there as well.

She was naturally reluctant to go to town to see a doctor, but when she heard there was a chance to go to town, Anle readily agreed.

She decided to go to town to check out the market, see what was being sold on the streets, and what new and interesting things were available. Maybe she could even start a small business there!

The twenty-mile dirt road was muddy and wet due to the continuous drizzle of the past few days. Anle, along with Anmancang and Anding, rode in their own oxcart, bumping and jolting their way into the town.

Anle's eyes darted around, looking here and there, like Grandma Liu visiting the Grand View Garden.

An Mancang didn't come to town to sell anything; he came to pick up his parents. So he didn't bring much with him, only two baskets of bamboo shoots and wild mushrooms he had picked in the mountains.

"Le Wa Zi, you wait here and don't wander around. I'll go in with Lao Er and deliver these wild vegetables to the restaurant."

Anle nodded vigorously, responding readily and obediently, "Okay, Dad, you go ahead, I'll wait here obediently." But her restless eyes darted around, finding everything new and exciting, just like a wild horse that had been let loose and was now having a good time.

I didn't expect this town to be so lively! There are so many people at the market, so many stalls, and so many shops!

Looking around at the stalls selling all sorts of things, she felt that she wouldn't be bored in the future.
