Chapter 614 The Fang Family, Fang's Mother

Fang Chengyi's home is located in a private garden community. Judging from the layout, management, and architectural style and materials of the community, it is not difficult to see that most of the residents are wealthy and powerful. Wu Yue followed Fang Chengyi to the top floor of one of the buildings.

The Fang family bought a one-story duplex apartment with a huge little garden.

The boy stood at the door, hesitant to go in. He gripped the hem of his school uniform tightly, looking down at his toes.

Wu Yue glanced at him, then pressed the doorbell.

The doorbell rang four or five times before the door finally opened, and a well-dressed woman with an air of intellectual sophistication appeared before Wu Yue. She was very well-preserved and looked to be no more than thirty years old.

Upon seeing the newcomer, Fang Chengyi involuntarily stepped back. Wu Yue caught a glimpse of the boy's slightly trembling body out of the corner of her eye.

"Who are you? What do you want?" The woman looked at Wu Yue with a wary expression and a rather unfriendly look.

Wu Yue nodded politely to the other party: "Auntie, hello. I am Fang Chengyi's friend, and I have come to pay my respects to him."

Fang Chengyi seemed to be still immersed in his own thoughts and did not notice the bouquet of flowers that suddenly appeared in Wu Yue's hand, even though she had nothing in her hand when they came up together.

"What nonsense are you spouting!" Fang's mother's face flushed red with anger, and she glared fiercely at Wu Yue. "My son isn't dead! He's not dead! How could you be like this? Why are you cursing my son!"

At first, it was thought that Fang's mother was truly unaware of Fang Chengyi's passing. However, from where Wu Yue stood, she could see a silver brazier in the hall, with many exam papers and pens scattered around it, as well as a few books whose names were illegible.

Fang's mother's actions were undoubtedly a sacrifice for Fang Chengyi...

"Aunt."

Wu Yue's voice was a little cold and hard. Just as she was about to say something, she was interrupted again by Fang's mother.

“My son doesn’t have friends like you! He’s just out playing. He went to Xian’e Mountain for a study tour with his friends from the autumn camp, and he hasn’t come back yet. That’s all. Stop talking nonsense!” The woman said angrily, and slammed the door shut.

Wu Yue knew that if this door closed now, she would never be able to enter again. Special methods weren't always available.

Wu Yue stepped forward, reached out and pressed down on the door that was about to close, her voice urgent: "Fang Chengyi is trapped and cannot be reincarnated."

Upon hearing this, Fang's mother softened for a moment.

Wu Yue continued, "Auntie, if you really love your son, you should let him go."

For some unknown reason, Fang's mother's eyes flickered for a moment. She turned her head slightly and shouted, "What are you saying? I don't understand!"

"Get out of here right now, get out of here!"

"It's been two days already. If he doesn't reincarnate in another day, he'll either become a wandering ghost or his soul will be scattered to the winds."

Looking at Fang's mother, Wu Yue said, enunciating each word clearly, "Are you alright with this?"

"Impossible! I won't let my son die, he will come back to life!" Fang's mother said, her eyes bloodshot and her face slightly distorted.

She was about to slam the door shut when a strange gust of wind suddenly rose, causing the test papers and notes on the ground to flip through the pages, some even flying to the doorway and landing on Wu Yue's face.

The wind came suddenly, carrying an eerie chill. Mother Fang slammed the door shut and ordered the guests to leave.

Wu Yue removed the two missing pages of notebooks that were stuck to her face.

The familiar handwriting above the notebook, messy, chaotic, and helpless, hints at the owner's mood.

"Can I watch?" she asked the boy who was squatting in the corner of the stairs.

The boy nodded, expressionless, and said in a low voice, "That piece of paper must be my suicide note."

Wu Yue bent down and placed the flowers on the next step at his feet, then began to carefully read the contents of the notebook.
