Chapter 132 A Street

"Alright, Yan Yan, I won't bother you anymore. You can stay here and familiarize yourself with the surroundings. I'm going out to get something to eat. Also, remember to come home tonight so we can have dinner together as a family."

She sneered. When had she ever had a family? Why didn't they ever send her a single greeting every year? Now they were putting on airs and fawning over her. It was disgusting, just as hypocritical as Gu Yuan.

She didn't linger at the Xu family's place for long. After leaving, she walked to the city center, took off her sunglasses, and watched the trees sway in the breeze. A cool summer breeze pattered against Fu Hange's face. The sky was filled with drifting clouds, and the summer afternoon was always peaceful. The glaring sunlight made her even more drowsy. Even the wind felt warm on such a hot day. Fortunately, the sunlight wasn't too harsh because of the sunglasses. She shielded her forehead with her hand and looked up.

Sixteen years. So much time had passed. She hadn't been back for sixteen years. Only she knew the loneliness she felt alone in America. Now that she was back, she vowed to become the most dazzling woman, someone everyone would look up to. Putting aside her worthless sentimentality, she put her sunglasses back on and found an apartment in the city center. It was very soundproof; no matter how noisy it was outside, there was no sound inside—perfect for her to handle documents when she came back at night.

She tidied her clothes, changed into casual wear, went out to buy toiletries, and when she returned, she heard a phone ringing as soon as she entered the door. At first, she thought a burglar had broken in, which really startled her. The phone clearly displayed the three characters "Liu Yunqi".

She answered, "What's wrong, Grandma?"

Liu Yunqi said unhappily, "How dare you talk like that? You've gotten bolder, haven't you?"

She deliberately spoke in a wronged tone, "How could that be? In my heart, you'll always be my aunt, how could I dare to be disrespectful?"

"Go to hell." Although she said that, Fu Hange could hear the smile in her words.

"I don't have any engagements today, let's meet up, it's been so many years."

Liu Yunqi arrived at her apartment building much faster than Fu Hange had expected, in just over ten minutes.

"How was it? My speed didn't disappoint you, did it?" Liu Yunqi winked at her.

Fu Hange sat down with a smile: "Very disappointed."

She was driven by Liu Yunqi to a small coffee shop nearby.

Fu Hange spoke first: "You're a popular actress now, how come you're so careless about going out, only wearing a mask?"

Liu Yunqi adopted a knowing look and said, "You don't understand, do you? How could someone possibly take photos of someone in such a secluded little coffee shop?"

"One should always be wary of others."

Liu Yunqi playfully stood up and patted her head: "Yeah, I was so worried about you coming back so soon."

Fu Hange inadvertently recalled everything that happened at the airport this morning and complained to Liu Yunqi: "You have no idea, I ran into two weirdos as soon as I got back this morning. The woman next to Gu Yuan raised her hand to hit me when she saw me having some kind of interaction with his boss. She has no manners at all."

Liu Yunqi was so shocked that she slammed her hand on the table and stood up, her voice loud enough for everyone present to hear: "You and Gu Yuan? The Gu Yuan who strikes fear into the hearts of everyone in the business world? You two are already...?"

Fu Hange immediately pressed Liu Yunqi down to sit, signaling her to shut up. This kind of thing was really not suitable to be mentioned in public, and it also implied her relationship with Gu Yuan, so Liu Yunqi had no choice but to pretend and suppress her gossipy heart.

During the conversation, a waiter came over and asked, "Would you two like something?"

"Blue Mountain".

"Black coffee."

The two spoke in unison, and Liu Yunqi asked in confusion, "Didn't you used to like Blue Mountain coffee? Why did you change your taste after returning to China?"

"I just got back to China and I'm still jet-lagged. How can I go shopping with you if I don't cheer you up?"

Liu Yunqi was overjoyed and danced around without regard for her image: "You understand me so well! You know, I don't have a single true friend in this huge entertainment industry. Only you are willing to treat me sincerely and understand me so well."

Looking at Liu Yunqi still basking in the afterglow of her promise to go shopping with her, Fu Hange thought, "Does she understand me?" Did she not know what Liu Yunqi was thinking? Her thoughts were written all over her face. From the moment Liu Yunqi asked her to go out, Fu Hange knew something was definitely up.

The liquid in the quilt had been completely drunk. Fu Hange picked up her bag and dragged Liu Yunqi away.

Inside the mall, Liu Yunqi avoided showing her face, a black mask tightly covering her cheeks. One might mistake her for a delinquent girl, but even so, her beauty was undeniable. Perhaps from hiding her face for so long, her cheeks were flushed, making her quite adorable. Liu Yunqi, however, had only one feeling: "hot."
