But Bai Xin simply didn't want to talk today. She sneered, "Even if you strangle me to death, I won't let you go back..."
Gu Yuan increased the force, and Bai Xin's face became distorted, as if she was about to lose her breath.
After a long while, Gu Yuan finally released her and said coldly, "I'll give you one day to think it over. If I don't see your passport by tomorrow, you can forget about working at Mingheng."
After saying those words, Gu Yuan left, leaving Bai Xin standing there lost in thought.
Gu Yuan wandered the streets of New York alone with his luggage. He hadn't brought anyone with him this time, and he carried everything himself.
He randomly found a hotel in downtown New York City and sent Bai Xin a text message, telling her to come to the hotel to see him the next day with her passport.
He missed Fu Hange a lot during this trip. Although they hadn't been apart for long, he still kept her in his heart.
Gu Yuan opened his phone and tapped on Fu Hange's number, which he knew by heart.
He had considered making an international call to her, but then thought better of it, figuring she might be asleep or doing something else right now.

The next day, just as dawn broke, Gu Yuan heard someone knocking on the door. He dragged his tired body to the door and opened it.
Bai Xin rushed in, afraid that Gu Yuan would block her from entering.
"Where's your passport?" Gu Yuan asked lazily, leaning against the wall.
Bai Xin raised an eyebrow: "What's your rush? I'll have to have conditions before I give you back your passport."
"What are the conditions? How much does it cost?"
Bai Xinchao gestured "NO" to him, saying, "I don't want your money, I want you."
After saying that, Gu Yuan turned to go back to his bedroom. Seeing that he was about to leave, Bai Xin immediately grabbed his clothes and asked, "Do you agree?"
"If you don't return my passport, I'll have to take it by force. But if you want to stay here, you'd better give up the idea now."
Bai Xin's smile remained unchanged: "You can't take it, because I've hidden it in a place only I know."
Gu Yuanyi glared at her with a sharp look, frowning as he asked, "Have you had enough fun? If you have, go back."
"Of course I haven't had enough fun yet. I'm fantasizing about you taking me all over New York City." She said with a look of longing.
Gu Yuan pretended not to hear and replied casually, "Living together is fine, but you have to sleep separately from me. Also, give me back my passport first."
Actually, he didn't think much of it; he just didn't want to ruin things with her because of their past relationship.
Bai Xin was overjoyed to hear this and playfully said, "Why are you in such a hurry? I won't renege on my debt. I'll pay you back when the time comes."
"I hope you keep your word."
Gu Yuan left after saying that. He went back to his bedroom and lay down, intending to catch up on some sleep, but he just couldn't fall asleep.
Bored, I opened my phone and inadvertently came across Fu Hange's number.
Just as he was hesitating whether to call her, there was a knock on the door: "Mr. Gu, I made some breakfast, would you like some?"
That's pretty fast. From the time he came up here until now, it's been no more than ten minutes, but she's already prepared breakfast. If it were Fu Hange, she probably wouldn't have enough time even if she were given a whole day.
For some reason, Gu Yuan started to laugh.
There was a constant knocking at the door: "Mr. Gu? Are you still there?"
Gu Yuan snapped out of his thoughts and asked, "What is it?"
"Mr. Gu, would you like some breakfast?" Bai Xin asked again, seemingly without getting tired of it.
