Chapter 415 I Don't Want to Talk

For some reason, Gu Yuan started to laugh.

There was a constant knocking at the door: "Mr. Gu? Are you still there?"

Gu Yuan snapped out of his thoughts and asked, "What is it?"

"Mr. Gu, would you like some breakfast?" Bai Xin asked again, seemingly without getting tired of it.

"I don't want to eat," Gu Yuan's voice came from inside.

Bai Xin looked at the things on the table with disappointment. He didn't even glance at the breakfast she had painstakingly made.

Bai Xin tidied up the things on the table and then put all the things she had brought into the house.

And so, she lived under the same roof as Gu Yuan for the first time, even though it was done through the most despicable means. But so what? As long as Gu Yuan was there, that was enough.

Gu Yuan came out at noon. Seeing Gu Yuan come out, she immediately ran over and took his arm, "Where shall we go for lunch?"

Gu Yuan shook off her hand in annoyance. "When are you going to give me back my passport?"

Upon hearing this, Bai Xin's expression immediately changed. "I told you, I'll return it to you when the time comes."

"When will it be time? What time exactly? You went to great lengths to trick me into coming here, and now that I'm here, you won't let me leave?" His tone hardened.

Bai Xin pouted: "I said I would pay you back, don't be angry, play with me for a few more days, okay?"

To her surprise, Gu Yuan rejected her outright: "No."

"So what should I do?" she asked again.

“Give me back my passport, and we’ll go back together now. I’ll pretend nothing happened here.”

Bai Xin immediately refused: "No way!"

This was utterly absurd. Gu Yuan was so angry that he stormed into the room and slammed the door shut.

If it weren't for the fact that they had some connection, he might have already sued her for taking his passport as her personal property.

Gu Yuan became increasingly angry as he thought about it, and finally opened his phone, accidentally finding Fu Hange's number again.

He felt much calmer at first, and after thinking for a moment, he finally made a phone call to her.

There was still no response from the other end, and Gu Yuan wondered if she was at Fu Cheng's house and had left her phone in the villa.

It took several tens of seconds for the call to connect.

Gu Yuan immediately perked up: "Where are you?"

The woman's voice on the other end of the phone was very gentle: "I'm at home."

Gu Yuan wanted to ask which family it belonged to, but he swallowed the words back.

“I’ve lost my passport. You need to come to New York right now,” he ordered.

"Now?"

"Yes, right now. I'll book your plane ticket, and you don't need to pack anything."

After saying that, Gu Yuan hung up the phone, feeling a weight lifted from his heart. At least it proved that she hadn't left and was still living in his house. He had only called her over to see her and, incidentally, to ask her to get a new passport. He could just pretend the one Bai Xin had was lost.

Gu Yuan felt great the moment he finished typing. He tossed his phone aside, lay lazily on the bed, and enjoyed the afternoon sun.

If she came, he could really consider taking her around New York a few more times. As for company matters, as long as they weren't too urgent, his absence wouldn't make a difference.

Meanwhile, Bai Xin, who was standing outside the door, had heard the entire contents of Gu Yuan's phone call. If she wasn't mistaken, the woman on the other end of the phone was Fu Hange.

She clenched her fists, all her anger building up inside, waiting to explode at any moment.

She came with a smile, so she'll make her go back crying.

Bai Xin's lips curled into a sarcastic sneer before she began to make her plans.
