"Prince brother, look at that mural!" Mu Li shouted.
Taking advantage of the gap in the attack, Mo Xi turned his head to look at the mural, only to see some strange symbols and patterns depicted on it.
At this moment, a monster took advantage of Mo Xi's distraction and pounced on him. Mu Li was quick-witted and threw the dagger, stabbing the monster.
"There's no time to study, let's rush out first!" Mo Xi pulled Mu Li and rushed towards the back door of the temple.
As soon as the two ran out of the temple, the monster behind them stopped chasing them, as if it was confined in the temple by some force.
"What is going on?" Mu Li asked, panting.
Mo looked at the mysterious temple and said thoughtfully: "It seems that the secrets hidden in this town are deeper than we thought. That mural may be the key."
The two decided to find a place to rest in the town first, and then try to solve the mystery of the mural.
They walked into a shabby hotel and the hotel owner looked at them strangely.
"You two, this place is not peaceful. You'd better leave quickly." The boss kindly advised.
Mo Xi bowed and said, "Boss, I hope you can tell us the reason behind this."
The boss sighed and said slowly, "This town was once cursed by an evil wizard. Every full moon night, monsters would appear. And that abandoned temple was the source of the curse."
Mo Xi and Mu Li looked at each other, and became more determined to break the curse and find out the mastermind behind it.
As night fell and a full moon hung high in the sky, Mo Xi and Mu Li quietly returned to the vicinity of the temple, waiting for the opportunity.
At this moment, a strong light came from the temple, and the mural seemed to have changed...
Mo Xi and Mu Li were startled and hurried closer to the temple. They saw the symbols and patterns on the murals shimmering with a strange light, and a human figure seemed to be looming in the light.
The two stepped into the temple cautiously, and the light gradually condensed into the image of an old man. The old man had a kind face, but his eyes were deep and mysterious.
"You are finally here." The old man's voice echoed in the temple.
Mo Xi asked warily: "Who are you? Why are you here?"
The old man smiled faintly. "I am the spirit that protects this town. Those monsters are the product of a curse that no one has been able to break for years. But your courage and determination have touched me."
Mu Li said anxiously: "Then please tell us how to lift this curse!"
The old man said slowly, "To lift the curse, we must find its sourceāa crystal ball corrupted by dark forces. It's hidden in a secret room underground in this small town. But the room is full of traps and is extremely dangerous."
Without hesitation, Mo Xi and Mu Li set out to find the entrance to the secret room. After some twists and turns, they found a clue in a dry well in the town.
Following the dry well, they arrived at a gloomy underground chamber filled with a pungent smell and eerie lights flickering on the walls.
"Watch your step." Mo Xi reminded Mu Li.
Suddenly, rows of sharp spikes popped out from the ground. Mo Xi quickly picked up Mu Li and jumped to the side.
Then, huge rocks fell from the sky. The two dodged left and right in the secret room, struggling to move forward.
Finally, they found the crystal ball emitting an evil aura deep in the secret room.
Just as Mo Xi reached out to grab the crystal ball, a dark shadow rushed out from the darkness and tried to snatch it away.
"Don't even think about it!" Mu Li swung his sword at the black shadow.
After a fierce struggle, Mo Xi successfully got the crystal ball. At this moment, the entire secret room began to shake violently and seemed to be collapsing.
"Let's go!" Mo Xi pulled Mu Li and ran towards the exit desperately.
When they rushed out of the secret room, a loud noise was heard behind them. The crystal ball gradually lost its evil light in the sunlight, and the monsters in the town disappeared without a trace.
Mo Xi and Mu Li looked at the town that had returned to peace and smiled at each other.
"It's finally over." Mu Li said with a sense of relief.
Mo Xi hugged her gently: "Yes, but there may be more challenges waiting for us in the future."
Hand in hand, the two of them faced the sunshine and embarked on a new journey.
