The next morning.
The master bedroom was quiet.
Gu Chengyu had already packed everything.
He casually left two buttons undone at the collar of his shirt, and without a tie, exuding a lazy air of nobility.
She wore matching trousers, which made her legs appear even longer and more powerful.
He stood by the bed, looking down at the small mound that bulged in the dark velvet quilt.
Su Qianqian is still asleep.
Her long, seaweed-like hair was scattered messily on the pillow, making her small face appear even whiter and more translucent.
Her long eyelashes quietly covered her eyes, casting a faint shadow. Her tender lips were slightly pouting, and her breathing was shallow and even. She was nestled in the soft bedding, like an innocent little kitten, both endearing and lovable.
Gu Chengyu's eyes darkened, and the pitiful sight of her sobbing and begging for mercy in the bathroom last night reappeared in his mind.
He couldn't resist, so he leaned down and gently rubbed his fingertips against her warm, smooth cheek.
"Um……"
The girl, still half-asleep, furrowed her delicate eyebrows in displeasure. Unconsciously, she rubbed her head against his palm and let out a soft, sweet moan, as if she were both being affectionate and protesting being disturbed.
This affection soothed Gu Chengyu's heart.
He chuckled softly, his fingertips lingering on her smooth face for a couple more moments before withdrawing his hand.
"Go to sleep quietly."
He spoke softly, his voice slightly hoarse from the morning, his tone full of tenderness.
He carefully tucked the blanket around her, covering her alluring snow-white shoulders, before turning around, quietly walking out of the master bedroom, and gently closing the door behind him.
The living room was brightly lit.
He walked to the bar, poured himself a glass of water, tilted his head back and gulped down most of it, his Adam's apple bobbing sensually.
He casually swiped his phone to unlock it.
The screen lit up, and several unread message notifications popped up on the lock screen, all from my mother.
Gu Chengyu unlocked the app and opened it.
【Chengyu, I've already reached an agreement with Shen Jianian and Song Qingwan.】
They're both in City S right now, so they have plenty of time.
How about we meet Nian'an tonight and Qingwan tomorrow night?
Alternatively, you can choose any day that's convenient for you, the time and place.
These messages were sent last night.
Half an hour later, probably seeing that he hadn't replied: [The Shen family is very proactive; Nian'an has always had a very good impression of you.]
Miss Song has impeccable manners and refinement; even Mom likes her.
I followed up with another message this morning: "[Make a decision as soon as possible; your dad is waiting for news too.]"
You know the rules of the Gu family.
Gu Chengyu's handsome eyebrows furrowed, and his thin lips pressed into a straight line.
A blind date?
The image of Su Qianqian at the bar last night flashed before his eyes: her face flushed, her almond-shaped eyes hazy, her fingertips trembling as she almost touched another man's chest.
And there was her tearful, aggrieved expression: Why can you look at beautiful women, but I can't look at male models?
Gu Chengyu was extremely agitated.
They had just managed to appease her and barely managed to turn the page on Yun Que over.
What if he turns around and goes on a blind date and dinner with some socialite...
If that little thing finds out, won't it cause a huge uproar?
With her stubbornness and tendency to dredge up old grievances, she might just break up with him directly.
Just imagining Su Qianqian with red eyes, biting her lip and saying, "We're even, goodbye," made Gu Chengyu feel as if something had clenched his heart, leaving him feeling suffocated.
He already had a headache from trying to appease her once, and he didn't want to go through that again, much less risk losing her.
never mind.
Gu Chengyu scratched his head in frustration, running his fingers through the strands of black hair that fell across his forehead.
How old is she?
Having just turned eighteen, she's at an age where she's playful and mischievous, and doesn't know how to weigh the pros and cons.
Her mind was as simple as a blank sheet of paper, filled only with the desire to possess him.
When she grows up a bit, turns nineteen or twenty, and has seen more of the world and understood things more deeply, she will naturally stop throwing tantrums at him over such things.
It's not too late to go through this formality later.
Having made up his mind, Gu Chengyu did not hesitate at all and dialed his mother's number directly.
