"For some reason, my right eyelid has been twitching these past two days." Wan'er sat cross-legged on the sofa, raised her eyebrows, and then raised her right hand to press the twitching spot on her right eyelid. "Could something be wrong? The little prince has been gone for several hours and hasn't come back yet."
“He can take care of himself,” Mercury replied while mopping the floor.
"Uncle, can't you show him some concern?"
“What could possibly happen? He said it himself. In this situation, it’s much easier for him to go out and investigate than for us.” The uncle leaned the mop against the wall, took a breath, and sat cross-legged on the other side of the sofa. “This guy’s invisibility is getting longer and longer. There won’t be any trouble.”
"But I still feel uneasy." Wan'er sighed. "These past few days, everyone's been talking about the girl who jumped into the water and pulled out a woman's body. Luckily, I left in time, otherwise I would have been photographed. Sigh, I've truly come to understand how people are afraid of becoming famous!"
“Look at you, so lacking in ambition. It’s not a big deal if you become a little famous, but I’m afraid bad people will start targeting us.” Mercury sighed and turned to Wan’er. “From now on, you have to try to go out less. If you do go out, you have to hide yourself well. It’s best to wait until things calm down after a while.”
"I know I've gotten myself into trouble. But given the situation, I couldn't just ignore it," Wan'er said, shaking her head and sighing.
"Coo coo coo!" Just then, there was a scratching sound at the living room door. Wan'er was startled, quickly moved her feet, got up and went to open the door.
The Little Prince burst in through the door with a "whoosh!"
Wan'er bent down to hug him, but the little prince turned around and dodged her, meowing and raising one of his front paws, which was covered in dirt.
It turned out he was afraid of getting my clothes dirty. Wan'er looked down at her snow-white velvet loungewear, shook her head with a wry smile, and said, "Okay, I'll go get you some water and wash it properly, is that alright?"
"What's going on? Tell me quickly," Mercury leaned over and asked the little prince while Wan'er went to fetch water.
"Meow, I'll tell Wan'er after I take a bath, hmph!" The little prince ignored him and just gave him a disdainful look.
"You!" Mercury stood up and reached out to the Little Prince. "Whoosh!" The Little Prince turned and dashed into the bathroom...
In the white oval basin, there was warm water. Wan'er tested the water temperature with her hand, then moved a low stool over and was about to sit down.
"Let me help him wash, after all, it's a man and a woman..." Mercury walked over and sat down on the stool first.
Mercury's actions startled Wan'er.
"Meow!" Upon hearing Mercury's words, the little prince immediately perked up his ears and screamed sharply at Mercury.
"Let's just forget about it, he's not suitable for you," Wan'er stepped forward, trying to push Mercury aside.
“Wan’er, we are both men…” Mercury hesitated, then paused, “Besides, you’re dressed so neatly.”
"What?" Wan'er didn't understand and asked.
"Meow!" I'm just a clever cat, aren't you thinking too filthy? I don't like how rough you are, Wan'er is much gentler. It seems you won't get away with this unless I use some special tricks. The little prince's eyes darted around, and suddenly he leaped onto Wan'er. Well, that's it, his paw print was instantly imprinted on Wan'er's chest.
"Look, I'm dirty now too, so I have to wash myself." Wan'er said, both amused and exasperated, holding the little prince in one arm and pushing Mercury out with the other. "Don't overthink things all the time, he's just a cat."
