As Queen Percy finished speaking, she suddenly felt an itch in her throat and couldn't help but turn her body around, raise her hand to cover her mouth, and coughed a few times to the side.
"Mother Queen, you still need to rest." Mercury looked at her mother with concern, preparing to turn away. "Otherwise, I'll call the Spirit Healer first..."
“No need,” the Queen stopped coughing, quickly raised her hand to stop her, took a deep breath, patted her chest, and leaned back slightly. “I know my own body, don’t worry. We were just talking about how to find the illusions…”
“Yes,” Mercury said, seeing his mother’s somber expression. He wanted to end the conversation quickly so his mother could rest, but he also sensed that she was solemnly giving her final instructions. “But where can we find him?”
"Well, I can't say for sure. After all, the phantoms have changed. Sometimes they might be high-ranking officials, even emperors and empresses, or they might be ordinary people, spirits, or other races..." The Queen's eyes flickered with uncertainty as she spoke, "They possess limitless potential and often act unexpectedly."
While protecting the aquatic creatures, they are also fulfilling their own destiny. In other words, they are not subordinate to us, and the relationship between us is merely a verbal contract. They are simply a promise of peace passed down from our ancestors to justice.
Therefore, this weapon is still unknown.
"Understood." Mercury nodded.
"Alas, this phantom has vanished somewhere, and finding him is no easy task. While we search for him, we must do our best to protect him and prevent demons from using him..."
"No wonder Mother Queen has been so preoccupied these days. It seems this matter is indeed troublesome and requires careful planning." Mercury sighed heavily upon hearing this.
"My greatest worry is not here," Queen Percy shook her head, her face darkening considerably. "What I am worried about is..."
"Is the Queen Mother worried about Crescent Moon?"
“She was destined to be the future Queen of the Water Tribe, intelligent, quick-witted, and calm from a young age. However, when it comes to matters of the heart, she seems to have deviated from the expectations of the Water Tribe.” Percy shifted his feet, sat up straight, raised his arms, and flicked his white sleeves behind him, his gaze suddenly sharpening. “I fear that someone will use this opportunity to smear Crescent Moon with all the mud. But little do they know, the burden Crescent Moon carries is beyond their imagination. Unfortunately, I can never bring myself to say these words.”
"What? Mother, this is the first time you've said this to me." Mercury was speechless upon hearing this, staring blankly at her mother. "You, how could you..."
"I just want to tell you that no matter how things get, you must wholeheartedly protect and assist Crescent Moon," Queen Percy said, her words clear and distinct, yet her bright eyes gradually welled with tears. The Queen raised her right hand towards her son.
“Mother Queen,” Mercury stepped forward and knelt on one knee before the Queen, “is there anything else you wish to command?”
“I know you are a sensible child who has endured a lot on your own. In front of everyone, the throne can only be passed to you in name only. My child, you have been wronged.”
"Rest assured, Mother, I will protect the aquatic tribe for the time being, in place of Crescent Moon and her daughter,"
The Queen placed a hand on Mercury's head and nodded with satisfaction. "Cough cough..." Suddenly, her face turned pale, and she began to cough violently...
"Mother!" Mercury knelt forward, supporting Queen Percy, and quickly turned to shout towards the palace gate, "The Healer..."
