Chapter 292 Wan'er's Clever Plan to Cross the Tunnel

Playing with these useless things is not sophisticated at all! Wan'er shook her head and humphed! Even if you are agile and strong, you can't stop me today.

Wan'er activated her spiritual power, and flower petals began to flutter around her.

These guys probably realized how strong their opponents were. They exchanged furtive glances and quickly opened the petals with their hands, but they didn't dare to attack directly. Instead, they surrounded Wan'er and Mercury in the middle.

Mercury and Wan'er naturally knew what they were up to, and although they were back to back, they looked calm.

"Uncle, these flower petals probably won't be enough to eliminate them. How about a few scales that won't cause any trouble?" Wan'er whispered.

"Alright!" Mercury nodded. The two of them gritted their teeth and wiped their legs with their hands. Fine scales appeared in each of their palms.

"Spray!" Mercury shouted, its scales shimmering as it flew towards its target in the water.

Exactly twelve pieces, no more, no less, were plunged into the opponent's throat, one sealing it completely. A series of agonizing screams followed.

The water monkey, which had been baring its fangs and showing its ferocity just moments before, instantly lost its edge. After struggling for a while, it disappeared into the water with a wisp of red smoke, leaving only its stark white bones.

"Let's go!" Mercury returned to human form, grabbed Wan'er's hand, and the two arrived at the underwater cave entrance one after the other. As soon as they stood still, they looked up and saw a few words faintly visible above the entrance—"Exit of the Underwater Spirit Market."

Sure enough, this is it. Standing at the cave entrance, a pungent smell of blood assaulted my nostrils, much like the foul odor emitted by some underwater creature as it exhaled.

Activating his spiritual light, he looked ahead. Before him was a long, circular tunnel, its walls gleaming with a faint white light. Judging by its width and size, it was wide enough for at least one person to pass through.

The entire tunnel was wet, slippery, cold, and dark, much like the belly of a giant python, winding and twisting...

"Wait, let me try first." A glint flashed in Mercury's eyes as she realized something was amiss. The tunnel looked ordinary, yet there was an inexplicable strangeness about it. Mercury gritted her teeth and stepped onto it first...

However, he had only taken two steps when he lost his footing and his feet slid to the side like they were sliding down a slide. With a "thud!", the once steady man fell flat on his face, looking quite disheveled.

"Oh dear, what is this?" While surprised, she wasn't in much pain, but everywhere she fell and the palms of her hands that were pressed against the ground were sticky and gooey, covered in an unpleasant slime.

In his haste, Mercury wiped himself down a couple of times. As he turned around, trying to use his elbow to brace himself and get up, "Thud!" he lost his balance again and fell to the ground once more…

One after another, he was unable to stand up.

They actually resorted to such despicable tactics! With a thought, Wan'er quickly moved the little black dog to her chest.

"Uncle, please forgive me." Wan'er's eyes turned cold. Taking advantage of the fact that Mercury was still spinning, she seized the opportunity and suddenly raised her foot, kicking Mercury's left shoulder with a "thud"...

"Ah!" Mercury cried out. Mercury, who had been spinning in this spot, suddenly vanished like an arrow in an instant with a "gurgle..."

Holding the little black dog, Wan'er naturally wasn't going to fall behind. She turned her body sideways, lifted her feet, and flew forward at least ten feet. Then, using the momentum, she followed Mercury and slid quickly into the tunnel...
