Chapter 34: Someone claims Blue Cat is missing.

Only Su Mei and the kitten remained in the living room. The two stared at each other, their eyes filled with hostility, and even the air seemed to grow heavy.

"Ahem!" Su Mei coughed twice, breaking the silence, and moved her body along the dining table, carefully sitting down in the chair opposite the kitten.

"Meow!" The kitten pricked up its ears, its guard up.

“Little Prince, um, I know I shouldn’t have rejected you, so I apologize.” Facing the kitten’s sharp gaze, Su Mei felt a little uneasy. She reached out and pushed the milk and plate on the table in front of the kitten. “Try this and see how it tastes. If you don’t like it, I’ll make you another one.”

"Meow!" The little prince leaped up and sat at one end of the table, his deep blue eyes fixed on Sumi...

"You, you eat! I'm sincerely apologizing. If you don't want to see me, then you can eat here. I'll move my portion to the balcony..." Su Mei said, and indeed picked up her milk and eggs, walking straight to the bedroom balcony without looking back.

The smell was quite fresh, and a rumble came from her stomach; she was truly hungry. The kitten had been staring at the fragrant eggs for a while, and finally, unable to resist, she stuck her mouth into the plate…

At that moment, the kitten did not notice that two cold, strange lights were faintly appearing through the crack in the door behind it.

Hmph! What kind of family member are you? In my eyes, you're just a cat, a stray cat about to be kicked out of this house. From now on, there will be no more annoying sounds from you in this house, and no more of your hateful appearance!

"Burp!" The little cat burped contentedly as it jumped off the table and returned to its bedroom with Wan'er, slowly lying down on the edge of the bed...

"These fish are so lively! The little prince will have something delicious to eat this afternoon; he'll be very happy." Muttering to herself as she held up a bag of small fish, Wan'er inserted the key into the lock...

"Beep..." Just then, the phone rang, and Wan'er answered it while closing the door.

"Really? You lost a blue cat? Okay..." After hanging up the phone, Wan'er slumped onto the sofa, the fresh fish placed beside her feet. A question arose in her mind—how did this person know I found a blue cat? I haven't even sent a message yet! Wan'er felt something was amiss, but couldn't quite place the reason. Her hand, holding the phone, fell limply to her side.

"You're back." Su Mei, wearing an apron, came out of the bedroom, put down the mop she was holding, turned around and looked at Wan'er. "Why do you look pale? Are you exhausted?"

“Someone found out I picked up a blue cat and actually came looking for me,” Wan’er replied, raising her eyes.

"You mean, the owner has come looking for you?" Su Mei propped the mop against the wall, walked over, and sat down next to Wan'er.

"A woman said she lost her valuable blue cat and even sent a photo." Wan'er listlessly tossed her phone aside, hugged her drooping head tightly, and sighed heavily. "I didn't expect someone to come and claim it so quickly. I'm just curious, how did she know?"

"Wan'er, don't be like this. After all, blue cats are a rare species, especially such a beautiful one. Someone must have spread the word. Besides, it's not yours after all. It should be returned to its rightful owner sooner or later." Su Mei held Wan'er's arm, but her heart was racing.

"That's true. How could I possibly have the idea of possessing him?" Wan'er raised her head, looking around in annoyance. "Huh? Why didn't the little prince come to greet me today?"
