Chapter 11: Old woman, one by one disappeared
Mrs. Wen looked at him like this and was a little surprised: "Old man, what's wrong with you?"
When Old Man Wen heard the sound, he looked up at his wife and almost burst into tears: "Old woman, Yi Yi is gone."
As soon as he finished speaking, he saw three people coming in from behind.
Wen Zhenyi looked at his grandfather's expression, which changed from worry to joy so quickly.
When Old Man Wen saw her, he immediately ran over and took out a rattle from his arms, shaking it and making a "dong dong dong" sound: "My dear granddaughter, look what grandpa bought you."
Wen Zhenyi's face was full of black lines, happy and helpless: "Grandpa."
Old Man Wen's expression suddenly froze, and he turned to look at Wen Chengwen mechanically: "Did Yi Yi just speak? Could it be that I've been too tired from going out recently and am hallucinating?"
Wen Chengwen looked at his father, speechless: "Dad, what are you thinking about? It's all done."
Wen Zhenyi called out again: "Grandpa."
Old Man Wen still didn't quite believe it and looked at Wen Chengwen: "No, I must be dreaming, pinch me."
Wen Chengwen raised his hand and twisted his arm, which was already thin.
"Ahhhhhhhh!"
"You little bastard, are you taking revenge on me?" As he said this, he was about to hit Wen Chengwen with his pipe.
Wen Chengwen quickly ran away: "Dad, why are you like this? It was you who asked me to pinch you."
"I told you to pinch me, and you pinched me hard! Don't you know how strong you are?" Old Man Wen was so angry that he blew his beard and glared.
Wen Zhenyi looked at the two of them with a smile on his face, and reached out to take the rattle from his hand: "Grandpa, thank you."
Old Man Wen saw that the rattle in his hand was gone, and looked at Wen Zhenyi who was standing in front of him: "Yiyi, call me a few more times."
"Grandpa, Grandpa, Grandpa."
"Oh, oh, oh!" Old Man Wen was so happy that he danced in the yard and was almost about to set off firecrackers to celebrate.
Old Mrs. Wen was so shocked that she turned around but didn't see her two grandsons. "Where are Yongnan and Yongman?"
Old Man Wen said nonchalantly, "When we got home and didn't see you and Yi Yi, we thought Yi Yi had run away, so the two brats went looking for her."
Mrs. Wen looked at him with some disdain: "Why didn't you go look for him?"
"I'll wait for Yi Yi at home. What if Yi Yi comes back?" Old Man Wen said it with confidence.
Even Old Lady Wen didn't want to pay any attention to him. This old guy is becoming more and more unruly.
Wen Zhenyi checked the time. They had eaten a bowl of noodles in town. Although the noodles were not very delicious, they were enough to fill their stomachs. "Grandpa, have you eaten yet?"
Before Old Man Wen could say anything, his stomach spoke for him with a rumbling sound.
"I'll go cook for you."
"Yi Yi, let me go. You've been busy all morning." Ma Yinghe felt sorry for her daughter and wanted her to have a good rest.
"Mom, it's okay. It will be fine in a while." He took the clams from her hand and went into the kitchen.
Old Man Wen was a little slow to react: "My granddaughter can cook now?"
Old Lady Wen rolled her eyes at him and said, "Your granddaughter is quite capable now. You'll know soon."
"Grandpa, my sister is not found in the village."
"Grandpa, I haven't found my sister either."
The brothers Wen Yongnan and Wen Yongman ran into the yard in a hurry and saw several people sitting in the yard. Just as they were about to say something, they saw a head popping out from the kitchen.
When Wen Zhenyi saw his brother and younger brother coming back, he called out, "Brother, Xiaoman, come and help."
Wen Yongnan and Wen Yongman's eyes widened, and they didn't even have time to close their mouths. They stared at the people in the yard in a daze.
Old Mrs. Wen looked at her two silly grandsons, then turned to look at the old man next to her: Shouldn't they stay together anymore in the future? This man has become stupid.
Ma Yinghe stood up and gently patted her two sons on the back of their heads: "What are you still standing there for? Go help your sister."
Wen Yongnan and Wen Yongman went to the kitchen and saw Wen Zhenyi pouring water into a basin and putting clams into the water.
Wen Yongnan just looked at her, wanting to see if this was really his sister.
Wen Yongman ran over to her and squatted down, tilting his head to look at her: "Are you really my sister?"
Wen Zhenyi stopped what he was doing and tilted his head to look at him: "Don't you think so?"
Wen Yongman blinked his big eyes and scratched his head: "It looks like it and it doesn't look like it."
"What's not like?"
Wen Yongman shook his head: "I can't say." At this point, he thought of something else and carefully took out a paper bag from his arms. He opened the bag to reveal two thumb-sized pieces of candy inside: "Sister, this is for you."
Wen Zhenyi looked at the malt candy in his hand and found that it had melted a little. It seemed that he had kept it on his body for a long time. When he looked up at him, he could see that his eyes were still on the candy in his hand.
She pinched a piece from behind and put it in her mouth: "I'll eat one, and the remaining one is for Xiaoman."
Wen Yongman quickly shook his head: "I'm a boy, I don't eat candy, this is for girls."
Wen Zhenyi reached out and picked up the last piece of malt candy, pretending to put it into her mouth. She saw Wen Yongman looking at the malt candy in her hand, and his little mouth unconsciously opened a little.
She took advantage of this opportunity to stuff the candy in her hand into his mouth: "Don't spit it out."
Wen Yongman was slightly stunned and felt the malt sugar slowly melting in his mouth.
Wen Zhenyi pecked the candy in his hand and looked at Wen Yongman with a smile.
Wen Yongnan had been watching the interaction between the two, and for some reason he felt very warm. It was great that his sister was well again. "Yi Yi, what do you want us to do?"
Wen Zhenyi looked at the person behind him. Their appearances were about 70% similar. "Brother, I don't know how to make a fire. Can you help me make a fire?"
"Okay." Wen Yongnan sat down next to the stove without saying a word and started to make a fire.
Wen Yongnan looked at the clams in the basin with some curiosity: "Sister, can you cook?"
Wen Zhen nodded: "I had a very long dream in the past thirteen years. I went to a strange place and learned something there."
Wen Yongnan's curiosity was piqued. "What kind of place is it? Is there anyone here? Is there a carriage? Is there any delicious food?"
Wen Zhenyi listened to his series of questions and explained to him: "There are people, a lot of people, there are no carriages, but there are also a lot of delicious food."
"No carriage? Then how do they travel?" Wen Yongnan asked curiously.
"Brother is so stupid. They must have taken an ox cart or a donkey cart, or even a boat." Wen Yongnan looked at Wen Zhenyi after he finished speaking: "Sister, am I right?"
"That's right."
"Ah?" Wen Yongman felt a little disappointed.
Wen Yongnan carefully added the firewood to the stove: "Which one is right?"
