Chapter 123 Your nose is quite useful
Wen Zhenyi returned to the kitchen and prepared today's breakfast while thinking about what to do next and whether it would be dangerous for little Abu to stay here.
“Bang, bang, bang!”
There was a knock on the door in the backyard, bringing her back to her senses. She put down the iron plate, walked out of the kitchen, and found that the sky was gradually getting brighter.
"who?"
"Sister Wen, it's me." Shen Hanxing's voice came from outside the courtyard gate.
Wen Zhenyi was slightly startled, opened the courtyard door, and saw a short-haired Shen Hanxing standing outside the door: "Brother Shen, why are you here?"
"I heard Yongnan say that you were the only one in the store today, and I was worried that you might be too busy, so I came to help you."
"Don't you have anything else to do today?"
"I've finished my work, so I'll just consider this as coming to your shop in advance to get used to my new job."
Wen Zhenyi smiled and let him into the yard, then closed the backyard door.
The two of them came to the kitchen, and Shen Hanxing helped her add firewood from time to time, and then helped her spread the shrimp meat on the rice rolls.
"Sister Wen, has something happened?"
Wen Zhenyi turned to look at him, a puzzled look on his face.
"When I came here, I saw many people cleaning the alley. The walls and the ground had been cleaned, but I could smell a faint smell of blood."
"You have a pretty good nose."
Shen Hanxing smelled blood when he came. Although the officers' statements were the same, he would never believe this purge for no reason.
You know, when he heard Yongnan say today that Wen Zhenyi was the only one in the store last night, he became a little worried and rushed over immediately.
When he saw her appear in front of him safe and sound, his uneasy heart finally calmed down.
"Are you okay?" Shen Hanxing's voice was gentle, but the tone of his voice was filled with worry that he himself was not aware of.
Wen Zhenyi was preoccupied and didn't notice: "It's okay, but something did happen last night."
"What's up?"
"I don't know if this matter will be dangerous for you." Wen Zhenyi hesitated whether to tell him what happened last night. After all, little Abu is a hot potato now.
But she was unfamiliar with the place now, and among the people she knew, the only one she could discuss things with seemed to be Shen Hanxing in front of her.
Shen Hanxing knew her concerns: "It's dangerous for me, is it also dangerous for you?"
Wen Zhenyi raised his head and looked into his clear eyes: "Except for you, I can't seem to find anyone else who can help."
Shen Hanxing felt an indescribable strangeness in his heart when he heard her say this: "I'm actually quite happy to be able to help you."
Wen Zhenyi did not hide anything from him. He told him what he saw and what happened yesterday, and also told him about the existence of Xiao Abu.
After listening to this, Shen Hanxing's expression became serious: "It seems that you really have picked up a big trouble."
Little Abu woke up from his sleep and found that he was the only one in the room. He was so scared that he jumped out of the bed, without even wearing shoes or socks, and ran out of the room barefoot.
He ran out of the room, but his trouser legs were too long and he accidentally stepped on them and fell to the ground.
When Wen Zhenyi and Shen Hanxing heard the noise, they immediately stopped talking, put down what they were doing, ran out of the kitchen, and saw little Abu lying on the ground crying.
"Why are you crying after waking up?"
Little Abu looked at Wen Zhenyi squatting in front of him, stood up and ran to her, hugged her neck, and buried his little face in her neck and shoulder: "Sister, I thought you didn't want me anymore."
Wen Zhenyi picked him up helplessly: "No, my sister has to open the shop in the morning to make some money to support the family, so she gets up very early."
Shen Hanxing looked at the child in her arms: “Your name is Xiao Abu.”
When little Abu saw the strange man, he hugged Wen Zhenyi tighter out of fear, closed his lips and didn't say a word.
Wen Zhenyi patted his back gently: "Don't be afraid, this is my sister's friend, he is here to help you find your parents and sister."
Little Abu looked at Shen Hanxing and asked softly, "Brother, will you help me find my parents and sister?"
"I'll do my best to help you find it, but I'll have to ask you to leave with me for a while and come back later."
Not only was little Abu puzzled, even Wen Zhenyi looked at him with a puzzled expression: "Why?"
"Do you think the people who are following you would be suspicious if a child this big suddenly appeared in your store?"
Wen Zhenyi had forgotten about this: "Then what are you going to do?"
Chen Hanxing looked at Little Abu: "His appearance is too outstanding. Most of those people have seen him. I will take him to change him and make him my distant cousin. When the time comes, I will send him to your house to live for a while."
Wen Zhen nodded in agreement and looked at Xiao Abu: "Just listen to your brother later, he will send you back soon."
"Sister, I understand."
Shen Hanxing went outside to borrow a flatbed truck, loaded some buckets of water and ice cubes on it, and asked Xiao Abu to hide in the buckets.
Wen Zhenyi reminded Xiao Abu: "Don't make any noise, just listen to your brother."
Little Abu nodded, curled up into a ball and hid under the bucket.
Shen Hanxing walked out of the backyard pushing the wooden barrel. The officer looked at him strangely: "Mr. Shen, what are you doing?"
"The weather is too hot. I asked Miss Wen for some ice to cool down my grandfather and the teachers in the private school."
"Yeah, I don't know when we'll be able to use ice."
"You go ahead and do your thing. I'll send it over and then I'll have to come over to help."
"Okay, okay."
Wen Zhenyi continued to work on her task. Only after the rice rolls were made and placed in the steamer did she open the door of the shop and let the customers take their seats.
After the guests sat down, they looked around curiously: "Miss Wen, why are you alone today?"
"My parents went back to the village for something, so I'm alone today."
"Can you handle this by yourself? Do you need our help?"
"Come over here if you're busy. We have rice rolls today, vegetarian and shrimp. What would you like to eat?"
"I'll have the shrimp one."
"I want a vegetarian one."
Wen Zhenyi remembered everything the guests ordered, went back to the kitchen, brought in plates of rice rolls, and placed them on their table.
"Miss Wen, your shop is the best. The food is different every day."
"Yes, not only are they different but they also taste amazing."
Wen Zhenyi smiled and served them breakfast: "Maybe it will be fixed in the future. We will see which breakfasts are more popular and won't change them frequently. We will probably change them every ten days or half a month."
"That's fine too. Otherwise, I'd always feel a little regretful if I hadn't tasted it."
"That's right. Sometimes I come late or get delayed, and then I miss it. It's a pity to think about it."
"Yes, we wanted you to sell it for a few more days so that we could all try it. Now that you say this, we are so happy."
