Chapter 173 Hougang Village

Chapter 173 Hougang Village

Wen Zhenyi didn't know when he fell asleep. When he woke up, it was already bright outside.

Cream was jumping on her and telling her to wake up.

Wen Zhenyi reached out and grabbed the back of its neck: "Naiyou, can't your wake-up call be a little gentler?"

Cream turned away from her.

Wen Zhenyi put it in his nest, got up and washed, and while it was still early, he did a few sets of boxing in the yard to exercise his body.

Zhu Tao got up a little later than her and also did two sets of boxing.

The others also got up one after another.

Hu Zi and the others began to practice basic skills obediently and did not disturb the adults while they were working.

Wen Zhenyi is going to Hougang Village to find Haiwa today and send him the food he made: "Aunt You, I will go buy the ingredients later. When they are delivered, please ask them to put them in the warehouse."

"Okay. Are you going out today?"

“Well, I have to go to Hougang Village.”

"Okay, leave the store matters to us."

"By the way, there's a notice posted at the door of my shop. We now have a food delivery service. If customers place an order, you need to register it and collect the payment."

"A penny more for each, eh?"

"Yes. Remember to write down the time of delivery, as well as the address and name. Don't make any mistakes."

"Okay, we'll remember it. I'm just worried there are too many and we won't be able to remember them all."

Wen Zhenyi is now having a headache. Among the people in this shop, Zhu Tao has not learned a few words yet, and the same goes for the others. If she and Shen Hanxing go out, it will be really troublesome.

"Cousin, we are here."

Wen Zhen saw that only Geng Ru, Ma Yushun, and Ma Ruier had arrived, and that Old Ma and her husband hadn't come. "Ruier, where are Grandpa and Grandma?"

"They help build pig pens in the village and weave the bamboo baskets you requested."

Wen Zhenyi looked at Geng Ru and asked, "Aunt, can you read?"

"Learn to read, what's wrong?"

"Aunt, my brother Shen and I are going to Hougang Village. I'm afraid some customers might order takeout. Could you write it down for me?"

"Okay. Just tell me what to remember."

Wen Zhenyi told her what she needed to remember and the fees.

Geng Ru saw that it was not difficult: "Okay, I'll write it down for you."

When Ma Yushun heard that they were going out, he followed them no matter what, and in the end he became a little tail with a group of people following behind Wen Zhenyi.

They drove their ox cart with the tools for climbing coconut trees and went to buy what they needed. After paying, they asked the boss to help deliver it to the store.

Ma Yushun drove an ox cart, pulling several people of all ages, towards the town gate.

Since Wen Zhenyi came here, I really haven't had time to look around, so today I can consider myself taking a day off.

It took them a quarter of an hour to walk from the town to Hougang Village.

As you approach Hougang Village, you can feel the sea breeze on your face, which brings the dampness of the sea water. Coupled with the hot weather, your body actually feels clammy.

But the children were very excited because they could see the endless sea.

Ma Ruier's eyes lit up: "Wow, so beautiful."

The houses in Hougang Village are very distinctive. They are not adobe houses, nor are they brick and tile houses. Instead, they are built with stones.

When they arrived at the entrance of the village, they saw several old people chatting there.

Wen Zhenyi stepped forward and asked, "Grandma, where is Haiwa's home?"

"Who?" The old lady was a little hard of hearing and couldn't hear clearly.

Wen Zhenyi raised his voice again: "Hai Wa."

"Haiwa!"

Wen Zhen nodded: "Yes."

"He and his father went out to sea. You go to the beach over there and wait for a while. They should be back soon." The old man pointed to a place on the beach where many ships were docked.

Wen Zhen thanked him and asked Ma Yushun to drive the ox cart in that direction.

Along the way, they saw many coconut trees in the village and on the beach. There were many coconuts hanging on each tree, but the trees were too tall and they could not pick them at all.

You can still see some fallen coconuts on the beach, but they are all dried up.

They tied the cart to a coconut tree and walked over the sand to where the boats were docked.

When you step on the fine sand, you can hear a rustling sound.

Wen Zhenyi suddenly stopped, sat on the ground, took off his shoes and socks, rolled up his trouser legs a little, and walked on the beach holding his shoes and socks.

The others looked at her in confusion: "Cousin, what are you doing?"

"It will be very comfortable to step on the sand like this."

"Is this true?"

"Why don't you try it?" Wen Zhenyi picked up his shoes and walked towards the beach.

The others looked at each other, and a few children were the fastest. They followed Wen Zhenyi's example, took off their shoes and socks, and stepped on the beach with their shoes in hand.

"Hey, this is fun!"

“This sand is so soft.”

Ma Yushun and Ma Ruier looked at the children saying this, took off their shoes and socks, and stepped on the beach.

“It’s quite comfortable.”

Shen Hanxing also took off his shoes and socks, feeling the sand on the soles of his feet. It was soft and not as painful as he had imagined.

Wen Zhenyi had already walked to the beach. The waves rushed to her feet and she could feel the sand disappearing.

Several people stood on the beach, feeling the sea water washing their feet, and moved their little feet one by one.

Ma Yushun and Ma Ruier were running wildly on the beach, and both of them were having a great time.

Wen Zhenyi shouted at them, "Don't run in, or I won't save you."

"knew."

Shen Hanxing stood beside her and walked with her towards the boat. Several children in front were running on the beach.

Wen Zhenyi turned to look at him: "Brother Shen, who was that woman yesterday?"

"She's my classmate's sister."

"She likes you?"

"Well, their family sent someone to ask before, and I already rejected her, but she just wouldn't give up."

"There should be quite a few matchmakers coming to the door."

Shen Hanxing nodded gently: "Yes, but my grandfather and I rejected them all."

"Why?"

"I'm not in good health and don't want to burden others." She looked at Wen Zhenyi and said, "If it weren't for you, I might not live long."

Wen Zhenyi was stunned for me: "So I am your medicine?"

Shen Hanxing looked into her eyes and said in the most serious tone: “You are my life.”

Wen Zhenyi's heart skipped a beat. The sea breeze blew up her scattered hair. She raised a bright smile and said, "So you have to protect your life."

"good."

The two smiled at each other, and in the distance a fishing boat came back from the sea.

Wen Zhenyi shouted to the brother and sister who were having fun in the back: "Cousin, Rui'er, come quickly, they are back."

Ma Ruier found a few beautiful shells on the beach, held them in her hands and ran towards them: "Cousin, look."

Wen Zhenyi looked at the big conch in her hand, put it next to her ear, and listened carefully.
