Chapter 174 Madman

Chapter 174 Madman

Shen Hanxing and the others looked at her in confusion: "What are you listening to?"

"The sound of waves."

Ma Ruier held the conch shell close to her ear and said, "I can really hear it!"

When the ship in the distance approached the sea, the people on the ship jumped into the sea and pulled the rope in front of the ship to drag the ship towards the shore.

Haiwa finally saw the people clearly when he reached the shore: "Miss Wen."

Haiwa's father had very dark skin and was puzzled when he saw the few people: "Haiwa, do you know them?"

"Dad, this is the girl Wen I told you about. She's the one who bought my coconut."

Haiwa's father smiled somewhat innocently: "Miss Wen, thank you so much."

"Uncle, you are too polite. I will only buy these things if they are useful to me. If they are useless, I won't buy them."

"Let's go and sit at home."

Wen Zhenyi looked at the seafood they had salvaged on the boat and asked, "Uncle, are you going to town to sell the things?"

"Originally, but since you're here, I won't go. If you don't mind these things, you can eat at my house at noon."

Wen Zhenyi looked at what they had caught and saw that they didn't have much: "You can eat it at your house, but I bought this seafood."

"That won't work."

"Of course I can. I need to borrow your stove and supplies, and with so many of us, I'm going to waste a lot of your food."

Haiwa's father was a little embarrassed and didn't know whether he should agree.

"Dad, just agree to it, otherwise Miss Wen won't eat at our house."

"Okay. Do as Miss Wen says."

Haiwa looked at the others and said, "Miss Wen, are the things ready?"

"It's ready. I'll put it on the oxcart. There's a coconut tree over there."

"Let's go take a look." Haiwa said, looking at his father: "Dad, Miss Wen and I are going to get something. You go back first, I'll take them back later."

"Okay, I'll go back and tell your mother and the others."

Haiwa was surprised to see that they were not wearing shoes: "Why are you all barefoot?"

"It's comfortable this way."

"I thought you guys didn't come to the beach often, but it seems I was wrong."

A few people walked to the side of the ox cart while chatting, and found that the things on the ox cart were missing.

Haiwa frowned: "I think I know who took it."

"who?"

"There's a madman in the village. I'm going to find him." Haiwa said and walked towards a place near the coconut grove.

Wen Zhenyi and the others put on their shoes and socks and followed her.

There was a shabby shack in the coconut grove, its roof covered with coconut leaves and in tatters.

A man whose gender was unclear was sitting there, and next to him were the things they had lost.

Wen Zhenyi pointed to the object next to Haiwa and said, "That's it."

Haiwa walked up to him, ready to take his things and leave.

Who knew that the madman suddenly pushed him down, picked up the things on the ground, and muttered something.

Ma Yushun helped Haiwa up and said, "I'll do it. I don't believe it."

"cousin."

Ma Yushun turned to look at Wen Zhenyi: "What's wrong?"

"Let me do it."

Shen Hanxing glanced at her: “Be careful.”

Wen Zhen nodded, walked over to him and squatted down.

The madman's hair was disheveled, his clothes were tattered, and he had a sour smell on him.

Wen Zhenyi squatted in front of him and whispered, "You took our things, can you give them back to us?"

When the madman heard this, he hugged the thing in his arms even tighter.

When Wen Zhenyi saw that the sharp teeth were about to scratch his skin, she took out some dried bayberries from her bag and said, "Can I trade this with you?"

The madman looked up at the dried bayberries in her hand, then looked at what he had in his arms, hesitating whether to change them.

Wen Zhenyi didn't rush, but said patiently: "This is delicious, sour and sweet." Then he took out one and handed it to him: "Try it."

The madman stretched out his pitch-black hand, snatched the dried bayberries from her hand, and stuffed them into his mouth.

Wen Zhenyi saw him finish eating and then looked at the bag in her hand: "Can we exchange?"

This time the madman nodded, handed her what was in his arms, snatched the bag from her hand, and started eating the dried bayberries inside.

Wen Zhenyi stood up with the things he had exchanged and motioned for them to leave.

Haiwa said angrily, "Miss Wen, you don't have to give him food."

“It’s okay, I was like this before, and people often gave me food.” He looked at Shen Hanxing.

Shen Hanxing smiled, but didn't say much.

They came to the ox cart, and Wen Zhenyi explained to Haiwa how to use it.

Wen Zhenyi found a coconut tree and demonstrated to him personally: "This safety rope must be tied properly."

Haiwa nodded: "I remember it."

"Now watch how I do it." Then he started to climb up wearing the tools for climbing the coconut tree.

The people below were sweating coldly, afraid that she would fall.

Wen Zhenyi climbed up the tree and looked down: "Get out of the way."

The people under the tree moved away a little and looked up at her. They saw her taking a knife and chopping off a bunch of coconuts from the tree, which fell to the ground.

Wen Zhenyi slowly climbed down again, and nothing unexpected happened during the whole process.

Haiwa felt that this thing was magical. Before he could say that he wanted to try it, he saw a figure running over and staring at the thing on Wen Zhenyi's foot curiously.

Wen Zhenyi looked at the person in front of him, the madman just now: "Are you interested in this?"

The madman nodded.

Wen Zhenyi was a little curious about him: "Are you not crazy?"

"That's what others said." The madman suddenly spoke.

Wen Zhenyi became interested: "Then how did you get yourself into this state?"

"They all say I'm crazy, but that's because they don't understand."

"What do you not understand?"

“They say everything I make is rubbish.”

Wen Zhenyi was interested: "Why don't you show it to me later."

"Are you interested?"

"I can't say."

He pointed to something placed beside Wen Zhenyi: "Did you make this?"

"I can't do what I ask others to do."

He pointed to a few places and said, "If we improve this a little bit, it will be more useful."

Wen Zhenyi looked at the place he pointed out and fell into deep thought. Perhaps he had picked up a treasure. "If you are not in a hurry, just wait."

He stood aside and watched Haiwa wearing this thing, climbing up another coconut tree and cutting down a bunch of coconuts.

Shen Hanxing was looking at this person carefully, not knowing what he was thinking.

Wen Zhenyi didn't pay attention to it. Instead, he watched Haiwa come down safely, waited for him to climb a few more coconut trees, and watched him use the tools skillfully.

They loaded the coconuts onto a bullock cart and drove it behind the man, following him to the dilapidated shack.
