Chapter 250 Separation 2

Chapter 250 Separation 2

The next morning, the mess in the living room had been quietly cleaned up.

Su Qianqian packed a simple suitcase and placed it in the corner of the living room.

She stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window, watching the dawn break outside and the city gradually waking up, her back slender and quiet.

Gu Chengyu walked out of the bedroom, wearing a black shirt and suit pants, and regained his cold and arrogant look, but there were still red bloodshot under his eyes.

He glanced at the suitcase and his eyes turned cold, but he quickly suppressed it.

He walked behind her and instead of hugging her as usual, he handed her a folder and a black card.

Su Qianqian turned around and looked at him with some confusion.

"Take it." Gu Chengyu's voice was emotionless.

"You don't have to leave. There are several houses here, including this apartment, which have been transferred to your name."

"There's a sum of money transferred into this card, enough for you to spend as you please."

Su Qianqian was stunned. She opened the folder and found that it was indeed a property transfer agreement with his name already signed on it.

She looked at the black card again. Although she didn't know the exact amount, considering Gu Chengyu's spending, it was definitely an astronomical figure.

"Ayu, I can't accept it..." She quickly refused, frowning slightly, "Let's break up, these..."

"Who told you we broke up?" Gu Chengyu interrupted her, his tone light but with a hint of paranoia.

"What I agreed to was a temporary separation to cool down, not a breakup."

He took a step forward and looked at her gravely: "You must accept these things."

"If you don't accept it, we won't be separated. I'm going to tie you up and take you back to my room right now. I mean what I say."

Su Qianqian looked at the stubbornness in his eyes and knew that he was not joking.

She accepted the black card with mixed feelings.

"There's no need for that, Ayu."

She tried to make him understand, “I don’t need these compensations.”

"Who said it was compensation?" Gu Chengyu sneered and raised his hand as if he wanted to touch her face, but finally put it down.

His tone was nonchalant: "Su Qianqian, you and I have been together for almost a year. We know almost everything that should and shouldn't be known in the circle, but we just haven't made it public online."

"Now you want to break up with me. If people knew that I, Gu Chengyu, didn't even give her anything decent, where would my dignity be?"

He downplayed it, as if he was just trying to maintain his status as a prince and maintain his face.

"If this gets out, won't others laugh at me, Gu Chengyu, for being stingy? I'm so stingy that I didn't even give a penny after breaking up?"

"Besides, this little bit of money is nothing to me. Just think of it as a way to make your life more comfortable in the future and to avoid giving me any reason to talk about you."

He turned around, his back to her, walked to the wine cabinet, poured himself a glass of liquor, and continued, "You can live in the apartment or sell it. If you don't have enough money or have any difficulties, feel free to contact my special assistant."

He tilted his head back and drank the wine in the glass in one gulp. The spicy liquid burned his throat, but it couldn't suppress the suffocating pain in his heart.

Su Qianqian looked at his back. He stood straight with broad shoulders, still looking like the arrogant prince of a chaebol.

But she could feel the sadness hidden beneath that straight back.

She was silent for a moment, and finally gently put away the documents and card.

"Okay, I'll keep it for you for the time being." She said softly, giving him a way out.

"Thank you, Ayu."

Hearing that she accepted it, Gu Chengyu's tense shoulders relaxed a little, but the emptiness in his heart grew bigger and bigger.

He would rather she continued to refuse, argue with him, and make trouble with him, rather than accept it calmly and draw a clear line like now.

Gu Chengyu turned his back to her and waved goodbye.

Open the door, close the door.

Gu Chengyu looked at the empty corridor outside the apartment door and suppressed the soreness in his eyes.

Isn't it just a woman dumping you? What's there to cry about?

Having said that, his heart didn't listen to his brain. It felt like a piece of it had been hollowed out, and cold wind was blowing in. The pain was so severe that he could hardly straighten his back.

He slowly raised his hands to cover his eyes.

There is a warm and wet feeling at the fingertips.

Gu Chengyu, you are really useless.
