Chapter 137 I Won’t Send You Next Time

She didn't answer, so Shen Mo asked again, "What New Year's gift do you want?"

An Ci tilted his head, resting one arm under his head, and asked in confusion, "Why are you asking this suddenly?"

There is still a long time before the Chinese New Year.

Their eyes met.

After a moment, Shen Mo lowered his eyelashes and said in a low voice, "No, just asking."

Afraid she would become suspicious, he added, "I'm afraid you won't like what I prepared."

An Ci's doubts were dispelled, and he smiled with a curved lip, "No, I like whatever you give me."

Then, as if to prove her words, she took out her hand from under the quilt and waved it in front of him, "Look, I always wear the bracelet you gave me."

This bracelet was a birthday gift he gave her two years ago, and she rarely took it off after putting it on.

Shen Mo's eyes shifted. Her wrist was very white and slender. As she raised her hand, the bracelet slid down.

"But let's discuss something. Can you please not always engrave your name on the gifts you give me?" An Ci retracted his hand with a smile on his face.

The watch and the bracelet were both engraved with his initials.

Shen Mo said, "No."

He paused, then continued, "If you don't like it, I won't send it to you next time."

Hearing this, An Ci quickly smiled ingratiatingly, "Don't, just treat me like I didn't say anything."

Who wouldn’t want a gift?

Shen Mo got back to the point, "What do you want for the New Year?"

An Ci said, "Anything is fine."

A gift is mainly a thought, and she has everything.

Shen Mo hummed, reached out and rubbed her head, "Go to sleep."

The two of them often slept in the same room since they were young. An Ci had long been accustomed to his presence. She closed her eyes and fell asleep in a short while.

In the middle of the night, Shen Mo vaguely felt something rolling into his arms. He opened his eyes and looked down to see An Ci's little head. His soft hair rubbed against his chin, which was a little itchy.

In the darkness, Shen Mo curled his lips, a helpless yet doting smile appearing in his eyes.

He stretched out an arm to support her head and pulled the quilt up for her.

As a result, I just covered her with it, but she kicked it off again.

Shen Mo looked at her terrible sleeping posture, his expression showing a sense of indifference, and naturally pulled up the quilt to cover her.

As usual, Song Xiunian and An Lan went to the company after breakfast.

Song Xi went downstairs and happened to see them about to go out.

"Xiao Xi, grandpa and grandma will be back soon. You can ask Zizi to go to Villa No. 1 with you." An Lan carried a bag in one hand and a file bag in the other.

Song Xi replied, "Okay, Mommy, aren't you coming back for lunch?"

"No, I have a lunch meeting at noon." As she spoke, An Lan heard the sound of a car outside and hurried out.

Song Xi walked over and closed the door, then went upstairs to call An Ci.

When she reached the door of An Ci's room, she raised her hand to knock, and almost at the same time, the door suddenly opened.

"Cub..."

She had just uttered one syllable, but when she looked up and saw who opened the door for her, the rest of the words were stuck in her throat.

Song Xi was stunned for a moment, "Shen Mo, why are you here?"

Shen Mo's eyes were bloodshot, as if he didn't sleep well last night. "Come over and borrow some cold medicine."

Song Xi glanced at his pajamas and asked, "Did you sleep here last night?"

Shen Mo nodded frankly and said, "Zizi hasn't woken up yet, I'll go back first."

Song Xi nodded blankly and moved aside to make way for him.

After watching him go downstairs, Song Xi turned and walked into An Ci's room. She picked up the remote control and pressed it.

The curtains opened, and a large amount of golden light poured in, disturbing the person sleeping on the bed.

An Ci turned over and said, "Hmm."

"Baby, get up and have breakfast." Song Xi walked to the bed and reached out to pat the quilt on her body.

An Ci stretched and looked at her sleepily, "What time is it?"

"It's eight o'clock." Song Xi bent down and sat on the edge of the bed.

"Why did Shen Mo sleep here last night?"

When Shen Mo was mentioned, An Ci subconsciously looked around, but there was no one there.

Song Xi's voice came from my ears, "He just went back."

An Ci retracted his gaze and raised his hand to rub his hair. "He had a fever and asked me if I had any cold medicine, so I let him sleep here."

Song Xi was surprised, "He has a fever?"

An Ci nodded.

Song Xi looked at her, and suddenly thought of something, and jokingly said, "Baby, I find you are quite hypocritical."

"What?" An Ci lay there lazily without moving.

"When Eric was a child, he wanted to share a room with you, but you refused. Why did you, Shen Mo, agree?" Song Xi said, and couldn't help laughing when he recalled the memory of Eric staying in An Ci's room and refusing to leave when he was a child.

"No wonder Eric said you favored Shen Mo."

An Ci narrowed his eyes and spoke softly, "He sleeps well."

"You still have the nerve to complain about Eric's sleeping posture." Song Xi chuckled, "It's just that your sleeping posture is terrible."

An Ci knew that he was not a good sleeper, so he did not argue. "That's it, if we get together, it won't be a matter of kicking the quilt, it will just be kicking each other. I still want to live a few more years."

Song Xi was amused by her words and patted the quilt. "Hurry up and get up. Grandpa and grandma will be back soon. After breakfast, let's go to Villa No. 1."

An Ci said "Oh" and continued to stay in bed.

Finally, Song Xi couldn't stand it anymore and pulled away her quilt. Only then did she reluctantly get out of bed and wash up.

Upon hearing that An Ci had returned, Mr. and Mrs. Song changed their flight and came back early.
